2 Alysia Angus Lunt The athletes in Special Olympics are the most caring, brave, inspiring, and hardworking people that you will ever come across. I'm very fortunate, I get to spend time with my athletes and help them achieve their goals, whether they are sport related or not. It's selfish really, they've taught me more than I've taught them. 3 Alan Gillis The attitude of Special Olympic athletes is inspiring. They try their best and like to win but what is most impressive, is the support they demonstrate for their fellow athletes. As a coach, I get more out of practices and competition from the athletes than I give and being able to share this with family is very special. Alan Gillis Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador Crystal Young Crystal Young has been a member of Special Olympics Tri-Con Gentle Giants since Crystal took part in the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games and won two gold medals in snowshoeing. Allie Price I like being part of Special Olympics. It s like being a part of a family.
