3 You ve Been Invited - Don t Forget to RSVP! invitations were sent on December 12th with a request to join us, the athletes, VIP s, sponsors and fellow volunteers to meet, greet and celebrate the 2019 Scotties Opening Night Friday, February 15th. You ve been invited to kick off the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts by attending the Opening Night Mixer and Volunteer Appreciation Party! This is our way to say thank you for helping make this exciting event possible. The evening will be relaxed, yet elegant so dress is sport casual and you will need to present your ticket at the door. We will have food, beverage, entertainment and hope to see you there! 4 Kit Pick Up Day is Fast Approaching! Volunteer Bags will be available for pick up on evening of January 17th, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be entertainment from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and bar open so you can get your gear, enjoy some music, and have a drink! with your committee! WHERE? Centre 200 (481 George St.) YOUR VOLUNTEER BAG WILL INCLUDE: Three articles of clothing: These are based on the sizes you ordered during the autumn registration night. It includes a jacket, a pull-over, and a polo Accreditation Badge: Every volunteer will receive a personal accreditation badge that allows them to access into Centre 200 during the event. Volunteer Handbook: Your Handbook will contain important information that all 2019 Scotties volunteers need to know. Please read through your handbook carefully prior to the event Ticket to the Volunteer Appreciation Party: A ticket to the Volunteer Appreciation Party will be in your bag if you RSVP d. If you did not RSVP, you will not receive a ticket. Volunteer Pin: As a 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Volunteer, you will receive an official Volunteer Pin. It is important that you check your Volunteer Bag s contents before leaving the Kit Pick Up Day. 6 FUTURE STARS ANNOUNCED!! 43 junior curlers from local clubs to clubs across Canada will experience the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts up-close-and personal as Future Stars! Two to four Future Stars will represent each of the 16 teams competing for the national women s curling championship at Centre 200 this February. They will be introduced to the teams, join them during the pre game ceremony. Each Future Star receives an official Future Star Jacket!
