2 Welcome to our Volunteer Partner South Country Co-op Be an ATB Financial Future Star! Gord, Amanda and the Host Executive team are pleased to welcome South Country Co-op as our Volunteer Partner for the Event. Many of you will be members of their s so very familiar with their contributions to the communities in southern Alberta. If you haven t met the South Country Co-op team in your area, stop by, you ll be pleased with the grocery, deli, pharmacy, liquor outlets, and gas bars across Alberta s sunny south. Their website has more information don t hesitate to visit. You Can Almost Smell the Ice! Its ALREADY December things are ramping up! You will start receiving more contact from the Event office and your Director. There are a few important items to keep in mind: Early in the new year we will set a Volunteer Kit pick-up date. Let your Director know if you have any schedule restrictions for the timeframe from March 11th to 26th. Tell your friends and family that our volunteer cut-off date is soon and we still need more volunteers for the following committees: The Patch, Event Services and Accreditation, and Arena Rocks and Ice. Check out Game Day volunteers around Lethbridge & area You will see Game Day volunteers at lots of events around the City, as well as, at area events and curling clubs. Send an and let us know if there s an event you would like us to attend. We re always looking for places to be and we love talking about the Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men s Curling Championship. In the meantime, stay safe & warm there is cold weather coming in! The call is out and we are looking for youth curlers to join a team! Curlers aged 10 to 16 from the Lethbridge and southern Alberta interested in becoming an honorary member of one of the teams competing in the championship have the opportunity to receive: A commemorative ATB Financial Future Stars jacket; Four (4) tickets to a draw when their team is being honoured and the chance to be recognized with the team on-ice during the pre-game ceremony An official photograph with the team, as well as, an official event pin and souvenir program; a tour of the TSN or WCTV mobile production truck. Wouldn t you like to be an Honourary Team member of a the team competing for the World Men s Championship? It s truly a chance to meet the athletes at an international competition. JOIN US! MARCH 30 - APRIL 7 ENMAX CENTRE Curling fans from across Canada and the world are coming to Lethbridge March 30th to April 7th for the 2019 Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men s Curling Championship. Be a part of the excitement! Seriously CURLING ROCKS! Our 2019 Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men s Curling Championship CURLING ROCKS program has launched. Get your team, friends, co-workers and family to wear the World CURLING ROCKS t-shirts. You and your group could WIN %ckets by wearing your World CURLING ROCKS t-shirt! Winners will be chosen weekly! Pronghorns will host the University of Calgary Dinos in regular season action on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the ENMAX Centre. The 2019 World Men s Curling Championships will have table at this game. Tickets can be purchased online at: MHKYtickets0110 or in person at the door. Rush seating for the event. All postsecondary students get in free with a valid student ID! Doors open at 5:00PM, puck drops at 7:00PM. Join the fun at the ENMAX Centre for Happy Hour - (2) 14oz draft beers for just $10 from 5:00-6:00PM! Also at this game; special ticket package pricing for U Cup for fans in attendance full event packages (tickets to all 8-games, including the medal rounds) will be offered for $100 (regular $160.00)! We will be joining the Torch Relay at the ENMAX Centre from 3:00pm to 5:30pm to have our 2019 World Men s Curling Championship Street Curling sheet there. The University of Lethbridge is proud to host University Cup (U Cup) March 14-17, 2019 at the ENMAX Centre! U Cup is U SPORTS (University Sports) Men s Hockey National Championship. Our 2019 World Men s Curling Championship Street Curling will be at this event! As the hosts, the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns earn an automatic spot in the tournament, joined by the top seven men s university hockey teams from around Canada, this is an 8-team, 8-game single knockout elimination tournament to be crowned our nation s best.
