1 2018 EUROPEAN HOCKEY TOUR BOYS Canada Bears - Austria, Germany, Czech Rep., Slovakia ABOUT THE CANADA BEARS EUROPEAN TOUR The Canada Bears boys team will travel in the summer of 2018 to Slovakia, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. The 14 day tour departs on July 25th with approximately 7 hockey games including a small tournament in the Czech Republic. The team will also have 2 training sessions with Czech coaches. AAA and AA players born in are welcome to apply plus the team may also take a maximum 4 players born in The goal of the tour is to provide young athletes an opportunity to play hockey in Europe wearing a Canada jersey while enjoying sightseeing tours and special events. Family members are welcome to join this cultural and sporting experience. This info package includes an itinerary. 3 Boys - Proposed Itinerary This is a proposed itinerary that is subject to change with final flight availability or flight schedule changes. Some destinations may need to be adjusted to accommodate sports arrangements. The majority of the destinations will not change in the final itinerary. WENESDAY - July 25 Meet at the airport in Edmonton and check in Depart Edmonton for Munich, Germany THURSDAY - July 26 Arrive in Munich, Germany. Meet your guide and bus and leave for Salzburg. Arrive in Salzburg and check in to the hotel. Free time to freshen up and relax. Dinner is included at a restaurant or at the hotel. Evening free. Meals: D Overnight: Salzburg, Austria FRIDAY - July 27 Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Hohenwerfen Castle for a guided tour and to enjoy the birds of prey exhibition. After the castle visit, you will have free time for for lunch on your own before departing for the Salzburg city centre. Meet your local Salzburg guide at Paris-Lodron Strasse for an informative walking tour followed by free time in Salzburg to explore the city centre. Evening dinner will be at the Augustiner Brewery. Meals: B, D Overnight: Salzburg, Austria SATURDAY - July 28 Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depart for Vienna, Austria and meet your local guide on arrival for a guided bus and walking tour of Vienna including the Belvedere Palace grounds. After the tour the group will have free time to shop and have lunch on own in downtown Vienna. Meet the group and depart for the hotel and check in. No dinner is included tonight as there are many food choices at the Prater Park. Evening at the famous Vienna Prater Amusement Park. The entrance fee is free. You pay for each ride. Depart for the Bratislava, Slovakia city centre for a short guided walking tour followed by free time to shop and have lunch on your own. Depart for the arena to play exhibition game # 1 in Bratislava. Dinner is included at a restaurant in Bratislava. After dinner you will return to your hotel in Vienna. In the afternoon, depart for the arena in Bratislava to play Exhibition game # 2. Dinner is included at a restaurant in Bratislava prior to returning to the hotel in Vienna. Meals: B, D Overnight: Vienna, Austria TUESDAY - July 31 Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depart for the medieval town of Ceske Krumlov for a guided walking tour. During your free time in Ceske Krumlov have lunch on your own, stroll through town or maybe see the torture museum. Depart for Ceske Budejovice and on arrival check in to the hotel. Depart for the arena to play Exhibtion game # 3. Dinner is included at a restaurant Meals: B, D Overnight: Ceske Budejovice, Czech WEDNESDAY - August 1 Breakfast at the hotel. Your morning is free in Ceske Budejovice. Depart for the arena for Training session # 1 with Czech Coaches. Free time for lunch downtown prior to returning to the arena for Training session # 2. Dinner included at a restaurant. Return to the hotel. Meals: B, D Overnight: Ceske Budejovice, Czech THURSDAY - August 2 Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depart for Prague. Arrive at the entrance to Prague Castle and meet your local guide. Enjoy a walking tour of Prague all the way to the Old Town Square. You will have free time to sightsee, shop and have lunch on own in downtown Prague after the tour. Depart for the hotel and check in. Dinner included at a restaurant near the hotel. Evening free. Depart for downtown Prague for an evening Vltava dinner cruise. Return to the hotel Meals: B, L Overnight: Prague, Czech MONDAY - August 6 Breakfast at the hotel, Morning free in Prague to sightsee, shop and have lunch on own. Depart for Plzen and tour the brewery on arrival, Afterwards we will have dinner included in the brewery restaurant. Depart for a hotel near Munich. Arrive and check in, evening free. Meals: B, L Overnight: Near the Munich Airport TUESDAY - August 7 Breakfast at the hotel, check out of the hotel. Depart for the airport in Munich. Check in and depart for Edmonton. 6 Boys - Tour Costs and Payment Schedule AZORCAN HOCKEY TOUR COST AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE Tour cost is per person and is based on number of people per room. There are a limited number of triple and single rooms available. Double Triple Occ. Single Occ. $ $ $ Player Hockey Supplement Each player will pay an additional $ to offset costs of team uniforms, pre-departure ice and team apparel. Players will receive much more value than this additional cost thanks to a team sponsorship from our tour company Azorcan Global. Insurance Supplement Azorcan Global includes an all-inclusive insurance policy in the tour package. The insurance included is for passengers 60 years of age or younger. There is a nominal supplement for passengers aged and years of age. Costs are more substantial for passengers 71 and older. A copy of the insurance booklet and rates for supplements is available on request. It is up to each passenger to review the included coverage, understand exclusions and ensure they have proper coverage. Additional Flight Options Receive a $1200 discount to arrange your own flights and meet the group in Europe. Economy seats are reserved for the group. There may be higher class flight seats available on request. Initial deposit of $ 500 at time of registration per player Deposit of $ 500 per additional family member by November 15 th of 2017 Second payment per person of $ 1000 is due on January 15 th of 2018 Third payment per person of $ 1000 is due on March 15 th of 2018 Final payment is due on May 15 th of 2018 Late payment penalties and cancellation fees are in effect. In addition to exhibition games in Czech and Slovakia, they will play in a tournament in Prague. ATOM 2007 CANADA BEARS Tour Dates: July 31 August 13, 2018 Proposed Countries: Italy, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic The Atom Canada Bears will go to Venice and Verona (Italy), Innsbruck and Salzburg (Austria), Munich (Germany) and Ceske Budejovice and Prague (Czech). The CB will play exhibition games and a tournament in Prague. PEE WEE CANADA BEARS Tour Dates: July 31 - August 13, 2018 Proposed Countries: Germany, Austria, Czech, Slovakia, Slovenia The PW Canada Bandits will go to Venice (Italy), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Vienna (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia), Ceske Budejovice and Prague (Czech). In addition to exhibition games they will play in a tournament in Prague. BANTAM CANADA BEARS Tour Dates: July 25 August 7, 2018 Proposed Countries: Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia The Bantam Canada Bears will go to Salzburg and Vienna (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia), Ceske Budejovice and Prague (Czech). In addition to exhibition games they will play in a tournament. FEMALE (Midget & older) CANADA BEARS Tour Dates: July 27-August 8, 2018 Proposed Countries: Sweden, Finland, Estonia The Female Canada Bears will go to Stockholm (Sweden) Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia). In addition to exhibition games in Sweden and Finland they will play in a tournament in Helsinki.
