3 The festival has gained a reputation as the UK s LEADING FESTIVAL for mini and junior rugby clubs, attracting entries regularly from all over the UK. The UK s leading 2015 two day international rugby festival once again SOLD OUT in record time with over one hundred and thirty teams playing in the prestigious West Coast Festival of Rugby. Welcoming over four thousand travelling rugby players and their families from all over the UK for two days of exciting action at our host rugby club Barnstaple RFC, together with first class accommodation and entertainment at some of the finest holiday parks in the country all set in beautiful North Devon finest holiday regions. If you re looking for a first class rugby festival in 2016 you need look no further. With over 70% of clubs entering in 2015 returning from the previous year, we expect the festival to be in just as much demand with clubs rebooking their places in readiness for the West Coast Festival of Rugby Multiple clubs have brought full mini or junior sections to the festival and in some cases some clubs brought their whole mini and junior sections. Sevenoaks RFC who travelled with all age groups from U7 through to U15 with just short of one thousand players, officials and family members achieving the title of Guinness World Record for the biggest single club rugby tour which was acheived at the West Coast Festival of Rugby During both the 2014 and 2015 West Coast Festivals over 10,000 people attended the festival over the two days creating an electric atmosphere both on the touch line and the playing fields and the 2016 West Coast Festival is already heading the same way, with over one thousand people pre registering to attend the event even before a whistle has blown at this year s festival. 9 FRIDAY On arrival at your holiday park you will have plenty of time to enjoy the first class facilities and entertainment throughout the day and evening or simply getting together with your club mates or family to enjoy a meal or plan your strategies for the forthcoming festival. And then settle down for a good night s sleep in holiday park accommodation which has built up a reputation as some of the finest being offered at rugby festivals throughout the UK. SATURDAY Saturday will see the group stages of the festival for participating teams, with matches scheduled for either the morning or afternoon session, so you will not be waiting around all day at the festival venue so you have plenty of time to enjoy the holiday villages facilities. Team Tours Direct have gained a first class reputation for giving teams of all standards the opportunity to play rugby on both days of the festival knowing that on day two teams will qualify for a variety of cups subject to where they finish after their group stages on day one. 10 SUNDAY After a good night s rest, your team will return to the pitch on Sunday to participate in the quarter or semi-final of the tournament which you have qualified for and another exciting day of rugby and an electric atmosphere at the festival site. Whether you take home the silverware or not, with a jubilant crowd and buzzing pitch-side atmosphere, the climax of the tournament is an event not to be missed culminating with first class presentations to music. After the final whistle has blown, teams will be free to enjoy the atmosphere at our excellent host club Barnstaple RFC in addition to your last evening of entertainment and fun with your team mates and friends as you continue to enjoy your holiday park s facilities or carrying on the celebrations elsewhere.
