1 Heresy Era gaming This army list represents Space Marine legions of great crusade and age of Horus Heresy, as well as after events of heresy. You may use it to recreate small scale military operations performed by Space Marine Legionaries in 30 th and 31 st millennium or you may play against usual WH40k kill teams [as it is not unusual for a warp-ship in this universe to emerge from immaterium ten thousand years later or earlier than the journey has started]. Additionally you may chose your legionaries to belong to one of following Legions: Legion I, the Dark Angels All models wearing power armour gain Grim Resolve USR from Codex:Dark Angels. Bikers gain Hit&Run. Team Leaders and models wearing Terminator Armour gain Fearless and Preferred Enemy against Legiones Astartes: Dark Angels [and Chaos Space Marines, should you run into some]. About this army list This list uses rules found in HH book 1, and will soon be updated to include stuff based on HH book 2 Model availability You must adhere to the following model requirements when building your Kill Team: - 1 Team Leader Core models Special models Deep Strike In Legiones Astartes list Terminators DON'T get Deep Strike rules by default. It is unlocked by certain items. Support units Certain Core units have Support Unit special rule. When composing your roster you can have up to half of your Core (rounded down) composed of Support Units. Fortress of Shields When model with this rule stands base-to-base with team leader, he and the team leader gain +1 toughness. Army wide special rule None of models in this army have ATSKNF special rule. It is not mentioned in any of unit entries but it affects all models in the army. All models in this army have Legiones Astartes special rule. Additionally team leader always has Inspiring Presence rule. Legiones Astartes special rule is changed for purpose of playing Kill Team: Legiones Astartes: All models may reroll their leadership to regroup. Legion III, the Emperor's Children All models gain Crusader USR Martial Pride: Must issue/accept challenge whenever possible. If their character is defeated, -1Ld for morale test at the end of combat. 1 1

2 Legion IV, the Iron Warriors Models gain the Tank Hunters and Stubborn special rules. Additionally Heavy Support Marines can be taken as core as well as special, and they (not other units) can purchase heavy weapons at discount. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for IW Legion] Legion V, the White Scars Models use White Scars chapter tactics as described in recent Space Marine Codex. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for WS Legion] Legion VI, the Space Wolves All models gain Acute Senses and Counter Attack. Additionally all Tactical Marines must purchase a chainsword for 1pt. Additionally no model in your team may purchase jump pack if it is an option. This does not apply to Legion Assault Marines as their jump pack is standard wargear. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for SW Legion] Legion VII, the Imperial Fists Models use Imperial Fists chapter tactics as described in recent Space Marine Codex. Additionally Siege Breacher Marines don't have the Support unit special rule in Imperial Fists Kill Teams. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for IF Legion] Legion VIII, the Night Lords Models gain the Fear and Hit & Run special rules. [as in Chaos Space Marine Kill Team list. This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for NL Legion] Legion IX, the Blood Angels Models gain Red Thirst special rule as described in Blood Angels kill team lists. Additionally their jump infantry may deep strike and they get Desccent of Angels special rule.[this will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for BA Legion] Legion X, the Iron Hands Inviolate Armour: All shooting attacks against your models count as having their strength reduced by 1. This does not affect instant death threshold, only to-wound rolls. Rigid tactics: only up to half of your models may be equipped with bikes/jetbikes/jum packs. Stand and fight: you must pass leadership test to make sweeping advance or run. Additionally you may take Techmarine as their team leader (in which case he gets additional wound for free). Legion XII, the World Eaters Incarnate Violence: All your models that have destroyed enemy model in close combat gain Furious Charge Bloodlust: After winning assault models with this rule consolidate towards nearest enemy. Should you fail Run Away test, roll d6. On 1 you pass that test and get Rage USR instead. Legion XIII, the Ultramarines Models use Ultramarines chapter tactics as described in recent Space Marine Codex. Kill team hailing from Ultramarines Legion may take Veteran Tactical Marines as core as well as special. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for UM Legion] 2 2

3 Legion XIV, the Death Guard Remorseless: immune to Fear and auto-pass all pinning tests Sons of Barbarus: reroll all failed Dangerous Terrain tests for swamp, mud, toxic sludge and simmilar Intractable: -1I for Sweeping Advance Legion Destroyer Marines may be taken as Core as well as Special. Legion XV, the Thousand Sons Grudge Against Space Wolves: All models get Preferred Enemy (Space Wolves) (this applies any variant of SW list, 30k or 40k) Warp Maestry: Thousand Sons Lexicanium can purchase second maestry level for 30pts. He may then chose up to two powers at start of each game. Additionally they may take single (level one) lexicanium as a Special choice. Lexicanium taken as special still has 2 wounds. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for this Legion] Legion XVI, the Luna Wolves, later known as Sons of Horus The edge of the Spear: you may reroll ones on your Reserve rolls Teleportation Matrix: Your Terminators may deep strike as normal. (build up area rules still apply) Legion XVII, the Imperial Heralds later known as Word Bearers Crusader special rule for all models. Additionally they can take warden-chaplain as special choice (this can be second warden chaplain in kill team taken in addition to one acting as team leader or the only warden chaplain). Warden-chaplain taken as special still has 2 wounds. Range of Inspiring Presence and Battle Liturgies USRs is doubled for Word Bearers models [leaders and/or warden-chaplains]. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for this Legion] Legion XVIII, the Salamanders Models use Salamanders chapter tactics as described in recent Space Marine Codex. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for this Legion] Legion XIX, the Raven Guard Models use Raven Guard chapter tactics as described in recent Space Marine Codex. [This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for this Legion] Legion XX, the Alpha Legion Models have the Shrouded special rule during the first turn of a battle. All Sergeants (without Terminator Armour, Jump Pack or Space Marine Bike/Jetbike) and Chosen in an Alpha Legion team gain the Infiltrate special rule. [as in Chaos Space Marine Kill Team list. This will be updated when Forgeworld will release rules for NL Legion] Legions II and XI, the lost legions You may want to play as legion of your own invention. That's the reason why Games Workshop have virtually never published any fluff nor rules regarding these legions. If you want to play such legion, use rules for any of other well known legions or invent your own (discuss this with your oponent) 3 3

4 Legion Sergeant TEAM LEADERS (character) - Chainsword May replace any weapon with any of the following: - Combi-weapon 10 pts - Plasma pistol 15 pts - Volkite Serpenta 5 pts - Power weapon 15 pts - Charnabal Sabre 5 pts - Power fist or lightning claw 15 pts May take one of the following: - Artficer armour instead of power armour 10 pts - Terminator armour 25 pts - Cataprachti pattern Terminator armour 25 pts - Tartaros pattern Terminator armour 25 pts Selecting Terminator Armour of any kind replaces all wargear items with said armour, combi-bolter and a Power Weapon If Terminator Armour [of any type] is not chosen, may take one of the following: - Jump pack 5 pts - Space Marine Bike with twin-linked bolter 20 pts - Legion Jetbike with heavy bolter 35 pts If Terminator Armour [of any type] is chosen, may replace combi-bolter with: - Combi-weapon 7 pts - Volkite charger 20 pts If Terminator Armour [of any type] is chosen, may replace power weapon with: - lightning claw or power fist 5 pts - thunder hammer 10 pts - chainfist 5 pts May take any of the following: - Melta bomb 5 pts - Digital lasers 10 pts - Iron Halo 20 pts 20pts Depending on wargear options selected Legion Sergeant allows to take following models as core choices as well as special: - Space Marine Bike/Jetbike Outriders - Terminator armour of any kind Terminators - None of the above Veteran tacticals 4 4

All your veteran marines get the same rule. Designer's note: This entry combines traits of Legion Veteran Tactical Squad and Legion Seeker Squad from Horus Heresy book 1. Huscarl Terminator May only be selected in Imperial Fists kill teams Terminator Armour - Thunderhammer - Stormshield - Fearless - Fortress of Shields 15 50pts Only up to two of these elite warriors may be included in your kill team. If your team leader is wearing Terminator Armour, you may field three of them instead. Stormshield provides 3+ invulnerable save and doesn't grant additional attack for having two weapons. 15

If your kill team is hailing from Death Guard Legion, you may field six of them instead, and field them as Core as well as Special. 18 TRANSPORT OPTIONS Kill Team: Legiones Astartes army list v Transport vehicles are meant to be used only in campaign games and certain other pickup games where both players agree to use such vehicles. Kill Team: Legiones Astartes army list v If your Kill Team hails from Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus Legion, you may purchase this rare craft at 10pt. discount. Paragon Blade (Leader only) 2 Model may replace one of his weapons for Paragon Blade (S+1, AP2, melee, murderous strike, specialist weapon) Archeotech pistol (Leader only) Model may replace one of his weapons for Archeotech Pistol (12,S6,AP3,pistol,master crafted) Psychic Hood (Psyker only) It is rare for a Lexicanium to be equipped with such artifact but it happens Teleporter (Terminator only) Instead of moving, a Terminator may teleport. Roll 2d6,the model may then move up to this amount in any direction, ignoring all terrain and models. If he does this he cannot assault this turn. Additionally taking yhis item allows deep strike Caedere Weapon (World Eaters only) 1 Any model may take replace his weapon with one of following: Meteor Hammer, Excoriator Chainaxe, Twin-falax blades, Barb-hook lash Purity Seal (Leader only) Range of Inspiring Presence is increased from 6 to 12. Auto-launchers (Terminator only) The model counts as having assault grenades that do not have the One Use rule (i.e. they never run out). These grenades may not be fired in the shooting phase. Refractor field 5+Invulnerable save Bionics 6+FNP Chain Axe (World Eaters only) 1pt Any WE model may replace his chainsword (if he has access to one) with this as long as it is appropriately represented on model. Following usual rules for Chain Axe Sonic Shriekers (Emperor's Children only) Any EC model can take one of these. Follow usual Sonic Shrieker rule Chem-munitions (death guard only) free Any flame weapon may be upgraded to contain chem-munitions for free. This has to be noted in army list and it is recommended to represent this on model as well. Upgraded weapon gets Shred and Gets Hot! Special rules

20 Deathshround power scythe (death guard only) Any model with power fist may replace it with Power Scythe at no additional cost. Any model eligible to take power fist, may take power scythe instead at cost of power fist. Rules for said scythe are on page 235 of HH Book 1. Rosarius (Warden-chaplain only) 2 Rosarius grants 4+ invulnerable save.
