2 World-class weighing. Application The Granex MSDT Silo Scale is an automatic, discontinuous, totalizing, open hopper scale without any jacketing. It can be applied as a receiving (intake) as well as a transfer and loadout scale for a variety of products such as wheat, rye, corn (maize), barley, oats, soybeans, etc. Its throughput capacity ranges from 80 m 3 /h to 1600 m 3 /h. Design The Granex MSDT Silo Scale consists of the following elements: 1 Dead box (option) 2 Feed hopper (option) 3 Segment-type gate 4 Weighing table 5 Intermediate jacket 6 Weigh hopper 7 Discharge hopper (option) 8 MEAF control system 9 Support feet 10 Support pipes 11 Secondary air valve 12 Air-recycling pipes 13 Air-recycling valve 14 Secondary air socket (option, depending on installation variant) 15 Quantum slide gate (option) Instead of a feed hopper, it is also possible to select a transition fl ange to an existing bin. If no discharge hopper is needed (transfer to bin), a bottom plate will be supplied instead of the discharge hopper Rice Oats Soybeans and various other products 3

4 High throughputs. Anti-wear devices Maximum throughputs even when handling abrasive products are easily achieved by the Granex MSDT Silo Scale thanks to a wide variety of anti-wear devices. These devices on the one hand protect the scale itself, and on the other hand they protect the feed elements and the downstream elements from the strong product fl ows. The following anti-wear devices are available: Standard anti-wear devices The special device, made of wear-resistant stainless steel, in the discharge hopper protects the elements after the scale The dead box and the positioning of the sensors in the feed hopper ensure that the product will always drop onto product The double-segment gates and the slide gate hoppers are made as standard of stainless steel offering high abrasion resistance and good corrosion resistance Optional anti-wear devices Components in contact with the product with polyure thane coating with extremely high abrasion resistance and excellent corrosion resistance If the product is fed direct from a storage bin into the bin scale, an appropriate device (relief cone including transition fl ange) ensures optimal weight distribution and weight support of the loads acting from the bin High throughputs Excellent accuracy Maximum sanitation Easy operation Low maintenance 4
