The 5-foot-10 native of Cuero, Texas needs 756 yards and 51 catches to break the respective career marks. Gray has averaged 638 yards and 50 catches per season. Although his production dipped in 2010 due to s QB turmoil, Gray was still selected to the All-CAA Football First Team. Hitting The Gas Junior FB Kendall Gaskins had a breakout, All-CAA Football season as a true freshman, and continues to make his mark on the Spider offense by being clutch in the clutch. Of his 152 career touches, 35% (53-of-152) have either resulted in a first down or TD -- that includes a conversion of 10-for- 13 on third/fourth-down plays (77%) last season. Gaskins repeated on the All-CAA Football squad in 2010 and is a Second Team Preseason All-America by Sports Network in In his college career, Gaskins has yet to fumble in his 152 career touches. Line Stability completely re-tooled its offensive line in 2010, but this season sees the Spiders return three of those starters, who combined for 31 games played last year. Seniors Ryan Goss and Richard Muldrow each started all 11 games -- Goss at LT, Muldrow at RT -- and those two are projected to anchor the Spiders left this season, Goss moving to G and Muldrow to T. Goss and Muldrow are the lone seniors on the Spiders preseason twodeep on the offensive line. QB Carousel started four different QBs last season, and saw six different players throw passes. Junior QB Aaron Corp, who transferred from Southern Cal last off-season and beat out returnee John Laub for the starting job in Training Camp, was lost for the season after injuring his knee on the first offensive series at New Hampshire (Game 5). With Laub also sidelined with an injury suffered in the Delaware game, sophomore punter Nick Hicks played the remainder of the UNH game at quarterback -- his first college action at the position. Hick, though, suffered a concussion near the end of the UNH game, forcing true freshman Montel White into action. White would start the next three games before injuring his eye at Villanova. A healthy Laub returned to start the final three games. He, along with S Colin Pehanick and DL Corey Jackson are the lone returning seniors on the defensive side and Graham ranks as s active leader in both tackles (125) and interceptions (five). The team s fastest player, Graham claimed the bronze medal at the 2010 A-10 Outdoor Track Field Championship in the 100m (10.62). Taylor Made For made a significant upgrade to its defensive backfield in the off-season with the transfer of junior safety Cooper Taylor from Georgia Tech. Taylor brings good size (6-5, 220) and big-game experience (20 games, 90 tackles, 3 INT) with two seasons of eligibility remaining. Taylor had a standout true freshman year in 2008, being named Second Team All-ACC by Rivals and Honorable Mention Freshman All-America by College Football after finishing second on the team and second among all ACC freshmen with 69 tackles, two forced fumbles and an INT. His next two seasons at GT were limited by injury. Rogers Continues Spiders NFL Legacy CB Justin Rogers was drafted by the Buffalo Bills this year, selected in the seventh round with the 206th overall pick. Rogers is the fourth Spider drafted in the last four seasons. He represents s 37th all-time draftee and is the fourth Spider to be taken by the four-time AFC Champion Bills, joining legends DB Brian Jordan (1989), DB Jeff Nixon (1979) and C Wayne Fowler (1970). Rogers was a CAA Football First Team pick at both cornerback and punt returner, leading the league in punt return average (12.4 yards), while collecting 48 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles as the league s premier shutdown corner. The 5-10, 181-pound speedster, who ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds at the NFL Combine, became the CAA Football career leader in kickoff return yards (2,561) during the 2010 season and also saw action on offense as he rushed five times, caught three passes and was two-for-two passing. He ranks third all-time at in career interceptions (12). Rogers joins three-year pro RB Tim Hightower (Arizona), 10-year veteran LB Paris Lenon (Arizona) and two-year DE Lawrence Sidbury (Atlanta) as s current NFL players. Former Spider punter Bruce Allen is entering his second season as the Redskins general manager, while former QB Todd McShay is one of ESPN s leading NFL draft analysts. Spiders.com Page 6

This is a very unfortunate set of circumstances, and I feel deeply for Coach Scott and his family, said Lineburg. But I m confident in the ability of our staff and our team to overcome this challenge and I look forward to leading the Spiders into the 2011 season. Lineburg (pronounced LYNN-uhburg ), 37, is entering his second year back at after three seasons on the offensive staff at the University of Virginia. The Radford, Va. native was with the Spiders for three years from as the offensive coordinator and running backs coach under former head coach Dave Clawson.
