Weekly Report Page 2 SECTION I-ARTICLES The Fantasy Stock Exchange By Gary Davenport FANTASY STOCK EXCHANGE: Week 4 The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many men as possible. -- Bernard Baruch Mr. Baruch wasn t talking about fantasy football when he said this (he died in 1965), but his quote holds just as much water in this pastime as it does on Wall Street. Sure, we all have forecasts and predictions we hit on players we feel will exceed expectations who go on to do just that. I m not going to sit here and pretend that I thought Marvin Jones of the Detroit Lions was going to be a top-five fantasy wideout in 2016, but I spent most of the summer telling everyone who would listen that he would out-point Golden Tate this season. So far so good. However, for every bullseye that hits there s a pile of bull something else a player who disappoints so profoundly that downtrodden fantasy owners are left shaking their heads wondering where it all went so horribly wrong. Three weeks into the 2016 season, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger ranks outside the top 15 quarterbacks in League Scoring from a points per game standpoint. So does Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley and that was after a two-touchdown effort in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski? Well he finally played, but his next catch this year will be his first catch this year. We re not even a month into the season, and already the fantasy football landscape has been turned on its head. Or more appropriately, some players have landed on theirs figuratively speaking. Here s a look at who s up and who s down as the calendar prepares to turn to October and fall arrives in earnest. QUARTERBACKS STOCK UP: Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos: As ESPN s Jeff Legwold wrote, Siemian s four touchdown performance against the Cincinnati Bengals earned praise from Emmanuel Sanders. "There's nothing to tell Trevor," Sanders said. "I know he's a young quarterback, but he doesn't act like it. He's always poised, always calm, cool and collected. Siemian s also reached legitimate QB2 status, and his arrow is trending up in a big way.

Weekly Report Page 3 STOCK DOWN: Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals: One week after topping 300 passing yards and tossing three touchdown passes against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Palmer completely fell apart against the Buffalo Bills a 52.0 completion percentage, no touchdowns and four interceptions. In leagues that penalize for interceptions, Palmer came as close to a goose-egg as you can get this side of Ryan Fitzpatrick. He just hasn t looked the same in STOCK UP: Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles: After another strong performance in the Eagles demolition of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Wentz ranks inside the top 15 in terms of fantasy points per game at the quarterback position. He s outscored Ben Roethlisberger. And Blake Bortles. And Eli Manning. And Carson Palmer. And as a Browns fan the whole situation makes me want to pound my face into the desk until I lose consciousness. STOCK DOWN: Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks: Wentz is also outpointing Wilson, and it isn t close. If Wilson s sprained ankle and QB29 ranking in fantasy points per game (behind Blaine freaking Gabbert) wasn t already depressing enough, now Wilson also has a sprained MCL suffered in last week s win over Gabbert s San Francisco 49ers. He ll reportedly play in Week 4, but given the beating Wilson is taking behind a bad offensive line it s just a matter of time until he gets good and hurt. RUNNING BACKS STOCK UP: Jordan Howard, Chicago Bears: With starter Jeremy Langford sidelined indefinitely with a sprained ankle, it s Howard s turn in the Bears backfield. Yahoo s Andy Behrens believes that means big things for the rookie in Week 4. With Langford dinged, he said, Howard is now looking at a potentially significant workload next week when the Bears host the Lions. Detroit s defense ranks dead-last in the NFL in YPC allowed (5.1), so the matchup has plenty of appeal. STOCK DOWN: Shane Vereen, New York Giants: The sixth-year pro had his best game of the season last week against Washington, piling up 95 total yards and finding the end zone. Unfortunately for a banged-up Giants backfield, Vereen also tore a triceps muscle that required surgery. There s a chance he could return later in the season, but from a fantasy perspective his season s done. Orleans Darkwa, please pick up the blue courtesy phone. STOCK UP: Christine Michael, Seattle Seahawks: Michael was an absolute beast Sunday against the 49ers, rumbling for 106 yards and a pair of scores on 20 carries. With Thomas Rawls set to miss several weeks as the result of a leg injury that s worse than originally believed, Michael is dialed in as the lead running back for the Seahawks and as an RB1 for fantasy owners. STOCK DOWN: T.J. Yeldon, Jacksonville Jaguars: Even with Chris Ivory out for the season s first two games and limited in the third, Yeldon s done next to nothing for the woeful Jaguars this year. Sunday s loss to the Ravens was a new low point Yeldon carried the ball all of six times for 17 yards, and the second-year pro is now averaging a miserable 2.5 yards a carry. Were it not for the injuries that have ravaged the RB spot, Yeldon would be waiver wire fodder.

Weekly Report Page 4 WIDE EIVERS STOCK UP: Emmanuel Sanders, Denver Broncos: Sanders was relatively quiet over the first two games of the season, but that changed in a big way against the Bengals. Siemian found Sanders nine times against Cincinnati for 117 yards and two touchdowns. The 32 fantasy points the seventh-year veteran scored in Week 3 were more than twice the amount he d scored in Weeks 1 and 2 combined. Now it s just a matter of keeping the momentum going. STOCK DOWN: Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers: After Benjamin was only targeted once in a loss to the Minnesota Vikings, offensive coordinator Mike Shula admitted to Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer that wasn t going to cut it. We ve got to find a way to get him the ball more. That starts with me, Shula said. But we ve got to make sure we re doing it in a way where we re not just trying to force him the ball. Because teams know he s out there and they re going to try to take him away with two guys or roll coverage that way. STOCK UP: Sterling Shepard, New York Giants: In the category of statistics that Odell Beckham owners most assuredly do not want to hear, consider this: It s the rookie, and not the No. 1 overall pick in many fantasy drafts, who leads all Giants receivers in fantasy points through three games. Shepard is averaging over five catches and nearly 80 yards a game, and he s scored in two of three games. It s what happens when you face single coverage all day long. STOCK DOWN: Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers: The Green Bay Packers may have gotten their offense untracked in last week s big win against the Detroit Lions, but Cobb didn t share in the fun, making just a single catch in the game. It s the continuation of a disturbing trend. Six catches for 57 yards in Week 1, followed by five catches for 42 yards, followed by that one-catch Week 3. The sixthyear veteran is averaging a pedestrian 11 yards a catch, and Cobb has yet to find the end zone. TIGHT ENDS STOCK UP: Cameron Brate, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: With Austin Seferian-Jenkins landing in jail, then the waiver wire, then in New York, Brate is now the top tight end for the Buccaneers. In Week 3 at least, that translated to a big game five catches for 46 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The 25- year-old isn t going to be confused with Rob Gronkowski any time soon, but at the very least he s firmly on the radar if you stream at the position. STOCK DOWN: Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots: This story is getting old. Gronkowski was finally active last Thursday against the Houston Texans, leading relieved (albeit wary) fantasy owners to plug him into lineups. He played sporadically, was targeted once and didn t make a catch. Maybe fantasy s No. 1 tight end will benefit from 10 days off before they face the Buffalo Bills. But I ll bet my lunch money that we re going to be hearing lots of questionable and game time decision down the road and who knows when we ll see a full complement of snaps? STOCK UP: Jimmy Graham, Seattle Seahawks: Graham told ESPN 710 Radio that last week s sixcatch, 100-yard outing with a touchdown against the 49ers is only the beginning. My knee is getting

Weekly Report Page 5 stronger and stronger, Graham said. Every morning I m still up and I m still in here working as hard as I can to build the strength up in it, to get even more explosion back and to get more of my power back, which still isn t there. Right now it s good enough to be out there and it s good enough to be out there for my team, so I m excited because this is just the beginning and I m only going to get better and better. STOCK DOWN: Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans: After a mediocre Week 1, Walker showed up big in Week 2, hauling in six catches for 83 yards and a score. Then he promptly missed last week s loss to Oakland with an ankle injury. It s unknown whether Walker will be ready to go in Week 4, but his absence is just another dent in a tight end position that s taken quite the beating at the top end so far this season. Like more than half the top five goose-egging in Week 3 beaten up. Gary Davenport is a Senior Staff Writer at and an NFL and Fantasy Football Analyst at Bleacher Report. 6 Weekly Report Page 6 The Red Zone: Week 4 Thomas Casale Passing Philip Rivers, Chargers Rivers leads the NFL with 28 red zone pass attempts after three games. However, he s only completed 12 of those attempts for three touchdowns. One issue for Rivers is his two top red zone targets Keenan Allen and Antonio Gates have been out of the lineup. Gates will be back at some point. Right now Rivers is still building chemistry with new receivers like Tyrell Williams and rookie tight end Hunter Henry. The attempts will continue to be there for Rivers and more red zone touchdowns will be on the way. Jameis Winston, Buccaneers Winston s red zone attempts have sky rocketed over the last two weeks. He only had one attempts after the first game. He now has 17 attempts. That ranks tied for seventh in the NFL. Winston is averaging 47 pass attempts in his first three games. Doug Martin is still dealing with a hamstring injury and the Buccaneers defense is atrocious. Look for Winston s red zone attempts to remain high in the coming weeks. Cam Newton, Panthers Newton is about quality, not quantity. He s only thrown eight passes in the red zone but four of those attempts have gone for touchdowns. Newton has also scored two red zone rushing touchdowns. Kelvin Benjamin is one of the most unstoppable red zone targets in the league when he s not playing the Vikings defense. Newton s red zone production makes him fantasy football s most valuable quarterback. Andy Dalton, Bengals Dalton continues to be the least effective red zone quarterback early in the year. He s completed just 8-of-19 attempts with no touchdowns in the red zone through three games. Help is on the way in tight end Tyler Eifert, so Dalton s red zone numbers will improve. Eifert is one of the top red zone targets in the NFL. Rushing Carlos Hyde, 49ers Hyde currently leads the league in both red zone carries (16) and touchdowns (4). After three games Hyde is getting 73 percent of the 49ers red zone carries. San Francisco s offense is inconsistent from week-to-week but Hyde is guaranteed to dominate red zone touches as long as he stays healthy. Christine Michael, Seahawks Michael already ranks eighth in the NFL with nine red zone carries. That number is going to explode in the next few weeks now that Thomas Rawls is out with a fracture in his fibula. Michael only has one red zone score so far but the touchdowns will come now that he s the unquestioned lead back in Seattle. Jordan Howard, Bears Howard is another back on the rise. Jeremy Langford is out 4-6 weeks with an ankle injury. Howard will be the Bears No. 1 back with Langford out. He has a chance to take over

Weekly Report Page 7 that role for the rest of the season. Howard has scored one red zone touchdown on three carries. He ll dominate red zone carries for the next month at the very least, if not longer. The only negative with Howard is the Bears are such a bad team his red zone opportunities could be limited. Devonta Freeman, Falcons On paper, things look good for Freeman. He s coming off a big game against the Saints. Freeman and Tevin Coleman each have 10 red zone carries through three games. The difference is Freeman has yet to convert a red zone carry into a score, while Coleman has four touchdowns. Coleman s four rushing touchdowns are tied for the most red zone scores in the NFL. He s also scored three touchdowns on five attempts inside the 10-yard line. Freeman has been shut out on five carries inside the 10-yard line. It s obvious the Falcons want to get both backs touches but look for Coleman to start receiving more goal line carries. Receiving WR Allen Hurns, Jaguars Hurns scored 10 touchdowns last year. He has none through three games this season. Keep in mind that Allen Robinson just caught his first two touchdown passes last week. Blake Bortles has been off early in the year. One bright spot looking at Hurns is he s seen five red zone targets so far. That ranks fourth in the NFL and it s one more than Robinson. The Jaguars still can t run the football. They ll continue to throw it in the red zone. Hurns has scored 16 touchdowns in his first two seasons. He s getting looks. The touchdowns will come. Demaryius Thomas, Broncos Thomas was a consistent red zone factor when Peyton Manning was the quarterbacks. After three games with Trevor Siemen under center not so much. Thomas has only been targeted twice. He s yet to score. Thomas teammate, Emmanuel Sanders, ranks second in the NFL with seven red zone targets. Thomas has only seen 16.7 percent of the Broncos red zone targets three games, while Sanders has seen 58.3 percent. Three games is still a small sample size, so expect this to start evening out. Thomas 6-3, 230-pound frame makes him a dangerous red zone target. DeAndre Hopkins, Texans If you re looking for one receiver whose red zone numbers are destined to go up soon, it s Hopkins. Following the Texans miserable offensive performance Thursday night, Hopkins still only has two red zone targets and no touchdowns on the year. He s only seeing 16.7 percent of the Texans red zone targets. Hopkins is arguably the best receiver in the NFL at catching a fade pattern in the end zone. When it s all said and done. Hopkins will see his share of red zone targets and touchdowns. Brandon Marshall, Jets Marshall and Ryan Fitzpatrick just haven t been on the same page early in the season. Marshall has been targeted seven times in the red zone but has just one catch and no touchdowns. Fitzpatrick held out this summer and he doesn t look in synch with Marshall right now. The positive is Marshall is still getting looks. His seven red zone targets ranks second in the league. Fitzpatrick is coming off the worst game of his career. Marshall will start converting those looks into scores unless Fitz simply implodes this year.

Weekly Report Page 8 Receiving TE Cameron Brate, Buccaneers Brate was rotating with Austin Seferian-Jenkins until ASJ got cut. In his first game as the unquestioned starter, Brate took advantage of his opportunity. He was targeted in the red zone three times and caught two touchdowns. Brate s five red zone targets on the year are tied for fourth in the NFL. Winston likes to target the tight end, especially in the red zone. Brate may not catch a ton of balls this year but expect him to do most of his damage near the goal line. Kyle Rudolph, Vikings Sam Bradford is like the tight end whisperer. Zach Ertz s career took off with Bradford as his quarterback last year in Philadelphia. Rudolph is having the same success after two games with Bradford under center. Rudolph has scored two red zone touchdowns since Bradford took over as the starter. He s been targeted four times. Rudolph is a legitimate weekly TE1 as long as Bradford is healthy. Greg Olsen, Panthers Olsen has only been targeted twice in the red zone through three games. He s seeing 25 percent of the team s red zone targets. Olsen s numbers are likely to increase a bit but they re capped playing in Carolina s offense. Newton runs the ball a lot when the Panthers are near the goal line and the return of Benjamin will eat into Olsen s red zone opportunities throughout the year. Olsen will still be a factor in the red zone but he s the third option behind Cam and Benjamin.

Weekly Report Page 9 THE DAILY PLANET BY TODD COLBURN The Daily Planet Week 4 By Todd Colburn The fantasy landscape is already changing due to several key injuries to prominent fantasy notables. Most painful (to me) is the loss of perennially-underrated fantasy stud, Danny Woodhead. Will the loss of Woodhead create a new fantasy stud in Melvin Gordon? It s sure starting to look that way. Oh yeah, and there s that Adrian Peterson guy what about Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata? The tastefully-named Fozzy Whittaker? Lots of attrition to wade through this week. Let s have a look at the matchups and see where the opportunity lies BYES in Week 4: Philadelphia & Green Bay VEGAS-SOURCING Vegas-sourcing is the term I use for the strategy of using the knowledge of the wise guys to inform your daily fantasy decisions. Each week you ll want to build a base of information around the matchups. Vegas bookmakers have an uncanny ability to project what teams are going to put up on the scoreboard. The over/unders and the spread give you a free look at what the experts think each team is going to produce. So instead of crowdsourcing, we present: Vegas-sourcing. You just extrapolate the projected points scored by a team by looking at the Over/Unders and cross-referencing the spreads. Keep in mind that the numbers all change throughout the week, so don t get too worked up if the line has moved based on what you see below. The takeaway is the same whether Vegas is projecting 28 or 29 points scored by a team at different points throughout the week. High Scorers: San Diego 28.5 Low Scorers: NY Jets 19 Carolina 27 Buffalo Washington 26.5 Miami Indianapolis Los Angeles Pittsburgh Tennessee 17.5 Notable: Baltimore Atlanta 23 Oakland Well, Cleveland crawled out of the Vegas basement with their heart-filled effort in Week 3, rising out of the Bottom 5 for the first time in this short season. Instead we get Tennessee at the very bottom. In fairness, they ve yet to break 16 points this season, so the expectation seems apt. This seems like a good spot for Miami, in light of the stink bomb they set off at home last week. You like all the action

Weekly Report Page 10 that Jarvis Landry receives, but this offense sure limits his upside don t get me started on that running game. Without Sammy Watkins, Buffalo can only go as far as LeSean McCoy can take them; admittedly, he s done a fabulous job, but my expectations are in the basement for his matchup against New England. The NY Jets total has a knee-jerky feel to it. Yes, Brandon Marshall is either hurt or has fallen off the age cliff, but Ryan Fitzpatrick won t throw six INTs a week. Seattle isn t all that when they re on the road. San Diego is our projected top scorer this week. I m not sure that means big things for Philip Rivers & Co., but I feel like another big week is in the offing for Melvin Gordon. He s got 4 s already this season, while New Orleans has given up 7 total s to RBs. I m a believer in Carolina, and I don t intend to back down from my pro-kelvin Benjamin feelings this week. I m not convinced Washington is going off this week based on what I ve seen out of Kirk Cousins, and there is a chance Joe Haden returns this week. In the Notables section, I m a little surprised to see Baltimore ranked so highly, but this is going to be another tough cross-country road matchup for Oakland. I m probably going to fade Amari Cooper this week. Though Atlanta has posted 80 points in the last two weeks, color Vegas unimpressed. I get that Carolina is no New Orleans when it comes to defense, but they ought to have a lot going for them at home coming off of two huge road wins. I am bummed about the RB situation for the Falcons though. I m ready for one of these two guys to separate themselves. And it feels like it s time for a big Julio Jones game, call me crazy. WEEK 4 VALUE PLAYS DEFENSE: Defense is where I usually like to steal some value. You can usually find some nice inefficiencies in pricing on defense. I will often start my roster construction with defense, looking for the best relative value, with an emphasis on low price. Some weeks, the matchup compels you to take the high-priced options, but I like to spend my money elsewhere. DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary New England $3300 Minnesota $4700 Houston $3200 Washington $4600 NY Jets $2800 New England $4500 Pittsburgh $2800 NY Jets $4400 Baltimore $2400 Baltimore $4400 Wow, there are a number of tantalizing options at the top of the salary range this week. Denver, Houston and Arizona have GREAT matchups, but big price tags to go with it. I don t blame anyone for jumping on them. If you are reaching for value, my best bet this week is New England at home versus Buffalo. Minnesota is at least a decent value on FanDuel, and they are unquestionably a Top 5 defense. I think with gimpy Russell Wilson, the NY Jets at home are an underrated and underpriced

Weekly Report Page 11 option for Week 4. Finally, if you re a believer in Vegas take on things, Baltimore looks to hold the score down at home versus Oakland this week for a deep value option. QUARTERBACK: Normally I like to pay up for the best QB options, as they are such a big source of points. This week is no exception, as some of the highest-priced players project to score big this weekend (I m looking at you, Drew Brees). But if you want to go big at another position, here are some values for you to consider: DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary Philip Rivers $6900 Matthew Stafford $8300 Blake Bortles $6400 Carson Palmer $8000 Carson Palmer $6300 Blake Bortles $7700 Dak Prescott $5700 Kirk Cousins $7600 Jimmy Garoppolo $5200 Dak Prescott $7200 It s important to note that the two best matchups this week are given to two of the best two fantasy QBs, Cam Newton and Drew Brees. Their matchups are Top 5 in terms of points allowed to QBs so they re as close to money-in-the-bank as there is this week. But it doesn t always work to use a top-end QB when it comes to roster construction. If you need value, look to Matthew Stafford on FanDuel, where he s a great value this week (not so much on DK). Carson Palmer is not finished being a top QB; don t be afraid to jump on him despite what feels like a tough defensive matchup. Jacksonville has a do-or-die game this week; I like Blake Bortles to have a big week against a soft Indianapolis defense. Keep an eye on Jimmy Garoppolo s status this week if he s good to go for Week 4, he s a crazy good value on DraftKings. RUNNING BACK: Normally, I m looking for value at RB and paying up for top WRs. With so many roles in question, it s hard to justify going too deep into the bargain bin, but here are some guys outside of the top tier to consider: DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary Melvin Gordon $6300 DeMarco Murray $7300 LeGarrette Blount $5000 Matt Forte $6900 Tevin Coleman $4500 Mark Ingram $6800 Carlos Hyde $4200 Jordan Howard $5600 Jordan Howard $3700 Dwayne Washington $4500 Melvin Gordon has the best matchup of the week, and he s priced so right on DraftKings this week. Though I m generally down on split backfields, Tevin Coleman and his pass-catching ways make for a good match on DK. Jordan Howard is a better RB than Jeremy Langford, and now he has the job.

Weekly Report Page 12 Excellent. Enjoy this week of excellent value it s a tough matchup against Detroit, but he ll do well. On FanDuel, DeMarco Murray is priced to move. Thought the Titans aren t doing much on offense, Murray is the one doing everything (you ll know he s getting 20 touches). Matt Forte is also hitting a sweet spot in terms of price-to-expected return. I m not worried about Seattle they re giving up 15 yards/catch to RBs, which is Forte s, well, forte. Mark Ingram has a Top 10 matchup this week, and that $6800 price tag is pretty reasonable. If you need to dig deep this week, look no further than Dwayne Washington; he s the back in Detroit who will stand out this week against a low-end run defense. WIDE EIVER: Most weeks, my plan will be to max out the wide receiver position. I ll try to get top guys for their reliability. With one higher-end RB, you might have to find at least one bargain among this position group. Here are some options for Week 4: DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary Brandin Cooks $7400 AJ Green $8100 T.Y. Hilton $7000 Kelvin Benjamin $7700 Stefon Diggs $6100 Larry Fitzgerald $7500 Julian Edelman $5800 Eric Decker $6800 Terrelle Pryor $4300 Allen Hurns $6100 Kelvin Benjamin was a disaster last week, but you gotta jump right back on that horse, look for a big week in Week 4. T.Y. Hilton proved that he s the go-to guy for Andrew Luck, even when covered by a stud like Jason Verrett. Stefon Diggs probably fell off of fantasy radars last week, don t let it happen to you the guy is the real deal, and they have a much better matchup this week against the NY Giants. Okay, I confess, I had no idea that the Browns were going to use Terrelle Pryor in about a hundred different ways. If my man is going to line up at QB, RB & WR each week and get points in so many ways, I think he s a must-own. He s a crazy good value on DK this week. Allen Hurns is the forgotten man in Jacksonville, but he ll put up points this week against Indy. TIGHT END: I m going extreme on TE most of the time. Either it s Gronk or Jordan Reed if the numbers work out right (I find multiple bargains at other positions), or I might be punting TE. That said, punting TE doesn t mean you put a can of corn out there. You can get a quality contributor for cheap. Here are some options: DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary Jimmy Graham $4000 Eric Ebron $5800 Dennis Pitta $3900 Kyle Rudolph $5600 Eric Ebron $3700 Dennis Pitta $5400

Weekly Report Page 13 Kyle Rudolph $3400 Zach Miller $5000 Zach Miller $2700 Jack Doyle $4800 I love what s happening with Kyle Rudolph. You know, lots of fantasy points and stuff. He s building a solid connection with Sam Bradford. Two games, two s. Jack Doyle has the best TE matchup this weekend (Detroit); note that I didn t say Dwayne Allen Doyle gets more targets and more red zone looks. Jimmy Graham announced he was back in a big way. Look for this trend to only keep moving in a positive direction. The price on DK is pretty solid. In cash games, Dennis Pitta continues to be a high floor option that should always yield above average results. Here are a couple of sample lineups for cash game entries this week: SAMPLE CASH GAME LINEUP DRAFTKINGS POS PLAYER SALARY QB Drew Brees $7600 RB Melvin Gordon $6300 RB Carlos Hyde $4200 WR Brandin Cooks $7400 WR T.Y. 14 Weekly Report Page 14 WR A.J. Green $8100 TE Eric Ebron $5800 K Nick Novak $4500 DST Baltimore Ravens $4400 Thanks for reading this week, best of luck with your Daily Leagues in Week 4! Top

Weekly Report Page 15 ASSUME THE POSITION BY BILL AQUAVIVA ASSUME THE POSITION: Week 4 As the NFL has shown time and time again, matchups are difficult to predict and player projections can be just as unreliable. Seeing New England easily handle Houston with a 3rd string rookie QB, Arizona get beat down by 0-2 Buffalo, Minnesota put Carolina in a surprising 1-2 hole, the Rams score 37 points and the Eagles, with their rookie QB destroy the Steelers, along with players struggling that go off on great defenses (Jeremy Hill) and players playing great doing nothing against a so-so defense (Matt Forte), puts this season on notice for some wild unpredictability. This week the Packers and Eagles have byes so adjust your lineups accordingly, and next week the Jags, Chiefs, Saints and Seahawks have byes so make moves now if you need to replace players from any of those teams. As always, the weekly Assume The Position article takes a look at some of the great matchups ( Money in the Bank ), good matchups ( Safe Bets ) and bad matchups ( Rolling the Dice ), and we give you one player at each position (QB, RB, WR and TE) that we ve identified for that respective performance (great, good or bad), taking into account the player s offensive capabilities as well as the defensive matchup they re facing. MONEY IN THE BANK (Great Matchup) Cam Newton QB, Carolina Panthers (at ATL) The struggling Panthers head into Atlanta to face the 9th worst passing defense in the league and one that gives up the most fantasy points to QBs per game going into their matchup with New Orleans Monday night. Cam has had some INT problems (only Jameis Winston and Blake Bortles have thrown more picks) but he s still been a productive QB with his arm and legs this season and despite tons of pressure from the Vikings last week, Cam will not see that from the Falcons this week and the Panthers offense should have a big day. C. J. Anderson RB, Denver Broncos (at TB) The struggling Buccaneers are ranked #14 in rushing defense, which isn t bad, but they give up the 7th most fantasy points to RBs, which kind of is. They re equally generous to RBs on the ground and through the air, and have given up the most points in the NFL this year (101). Denver is a Super Bowl contender and Anderson is averaging a a game to go with his 203 yards rushing and 70 yards receiving. It looks like it could be a big day for Anderson. Steve Smith WR, Baltimore Ravens (vs. OAK) While speedster Mike Wallace has gotten the most attention after a quick start, the ageless wonder Steve Smith is the team s leader among WRs with catches and yards. He hasn t found the endzone yet this year but there s a very good chance that happens this week against the Oakland Raiders and their league worst pass defense that gives up the most fantasy points to

Weekly Report Page 16 WRs. Cameron DaSilva of FOXSports NFL summed it up perfectly, saying The 37-year-old receiver is by no means young as far as NFL players go, but there s no question he can still play. And he should play very well this week. Zach Miller TE, Chicago Bears (vs. DET) This one looks like it comes a week late, after Miller had 8 catches for 78 yards and 2 s against the Cowboys, but regardless of last week s performance he would be in this spot this week against the Detroit Lions. Detroit gives up the 4th most catches, the 9th most yards, the most s and the most fantasy points to TEs. Miller had great chemistry with Hoyer last week and with Cutler missing another game or two this tandem should continue to put up nice stats...even in losses. SAFE BETS (Good Matchup) Ryan Tannehill QB, Miami Dolphins (at CIN) The Bengals are only giving up 247 YPG passing, which is 13th best in the league but they ve also given up the 5th most fantasy points to QBs thanks to allowing the second most passing s (9 to Detroit s 10) and the 4th most 40+ yard plays in the league. They also have the 7th fewest sacks and are just middle of the road when it comes to INTs. So this is a good opportunity for the current top 10 QB to get some scores and a nice yardage day for you. Isaiah Crowell RB, Cleveland Browns (at WAS) Crowell is currently flirting as a top 10 RB thanks to his 274 yards and 2 s rushing so far this year. There s some concern that rookie Duke Johnson will hurt his stats so you need to be aware of that risk but Crowell is playing the Redskins this week and they are tied with the Colts for allowing the most fantasy points to RBs. They re also ranked 25th in run defense so this is a great opportunity for Crowell to pad his stats and keep Johnson off his heels. As Bleacher Report featured columnist Rob Goldberg stated, [Crowell s] success will usually be dependent on touchdowns, but he might be as consistent as you can hope for at the position. Crowell won't likely be an elite player any time soon, but he will be a serviceable starter in your lineup. DeSean Jackson WR, Washington Redskins (vs. CLE) After a big game and a big win for his team against the Giants, DeSean Jackson, Kirk Cousins and the Redskins team are sitting pretty with a chance to get to 2-2 against the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland s pass defense is ranked #22 in the league and they are giving up the 2nd most fantasy points to WRs, which includes an average of 2 receiving s per game. Jackson was big last week with almost 100 yards receiving and a and he should be just as big, if not bigger, this week. Jason Witten TE, Dallas Cowboys (at SF) Witten is struggling to stay in the top 20 TE rankings with just 142 yards receiving this year but now that rookie QB Dak Prescott got his first career pass out of the way things should be opening up a little more for the passing game overall, which of course benefits Witten. San Francisco s pass defense has been slightly better than average overall but against TEs they are giving up the 4th most fantasy points in the league. There s a solid chance that Witten scores his

Weekly Report Page 17 first of the season this week in San Francisco. ROLLING THE DICE (Bad Matchup) Marcus Mariota QB, Tennessee Titans (at HOU) Mariota is already having trouble, as is the entire Titans team, with scoring and this week he faces an angry defense that let a no-name 3rd string rookie QB beat them last week. The Texans are poised to rebound at home against the only offense in the league that has scored as few points as they have (both have scored just 42 points through 3 games). Houston s pass defense is ranked #1 and gives up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to QBs, including just 1 through 3 games. Jerick McKinnon RB, Minnesota Vikings (vs. NYG) So Adrian Peterson is out for several months and his backup is now the starter. Don t get too excited. The Vikings will deploy a group of RBs to replace A.P., which includes McKinnon, Asiata and recently signed Ronnie Hillman. ESPN.com Fantasy Football notes McKinnon failed to live up to the hype in his first week as the lead back in Minnesota, going for 45 yards rushing on 16 carries and barely factoring into the passing game (one catch for two yards). None of the Vikings RBs look to have a good matchup against the revamped Giants defense and their 5th ranked run defense that is allowing the 2nd fewest fantasy points to RBs this year. Eric Decker WR, New York Jets (vs. SEA) So this is kind of like a perfect storm of bad matchups. The Jets, coming off a trouncing by Kansas City are hurting offensively and Fitzpatrick is playing horribly. The Seahawks bring the second rated pass defense in the league, the squad that gives up the fewest fantasy points to WRs in the league, and only 1 of 3 teams to not allow a to a WR this year. Odds are this turns out to be another ugly game for Fitzpatrick and the offense so the best play for Decker is to not play him. Jesse James TE, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. KC) As the replacement for future Hall of Famer Heath Miller, Jesse James has underperformed so far this year, despite being in the top 20 rankings for TEs. His 70 yards and 0 s makes him practically useless to fantasy owners right now, and this weekend doesn t look any more promising for you. The Chiefs give up the 2nd fewest fantasy points to TEs and have allowed just 8 catches for 61 yards to TEs in 3 games. Now is not the time to play James in hopes of him turning it on.

Weekly Report Page 18 FLEX APPEAL BY MICHAEL NEASE Flex Appeal Week 4 By: Mike Nease, Senior Writer With playing a game like fantasy football so long (since 1985), you kind of get into a routine and each year seems so much like the last one. Quite frankly, it is kind of like a horse wearing blinders. We just plunge into new seasons using the tricks of the game we have been taught and learned the hard way all on our own. We are always scratching our heads and staring in awe at surprising performances, good and bad alike. We see new names fading and others emerging in their place. There is always the older player just getting an opportunity that proves he could do it. For every one of those though there are many more that are running out of steam. Fantasy football tunnel vision tends to give us the same results year after year. What is the real key to winning? Gather around and let me share some old guy wisdom with you. A large part of success is luck. And that is not Andrew Luck! The Russian roulette injury demon can turn a contender into an also ran on one fateful play. As we have seen way too often, nasty things can happen without even a vicious hit. That is the nature of the game all play. If we always expect the unexpected we cannot and will not be surprised and disappointed. Tell me honestly now How many out there had DeMarco Murray and Marvin Jones as the leading fantasy scorers at RB and WR after three weeks? My goal each and every week will be to help you fill that wild card slot in your lineup, the flex position, with some viable, practical solutions. In a typical fantasy football lineup we have one position dedicated to a flex player, that being an extra RB, WR, or TE. Many people just take a lower tier RB or WR and slap them into the lineup. Following that haphazard strategy can cost you games on a regular ongoing basis. You can turn the challenging flex position in your lineup into one of strength, rather than an afterthought. Typically the selection pool here in a 12-team league includes those players ranked beyond RB24, WR36 and TE12. I will use several rankings sources to obtain a healthy consensus. Marriage Material This could be either an available free agent pickup, or a player you already have on your roster that you would take home to meet your folks. This is a likely keeper that you can use more often than not

Weekly Report Page 19 throughout the rest of the season. He has a flair for consistency and the ability to light up the scoreboard with big numbers some weeks. RB Isaiah Crowell, Cle After three games Isaiah Crowell is off to a fast start and is just showing up on the fantasy radar. For the most part people are ignoring Cleveland, but it is time to pay attention. There are some fantasy gems here. Crowell for one is averaging 14 FPPG with over 300 combined yards and a pair of s. Expect him to score about 9-10 FP against the Redskins in Washington this week. RB Jeremy Hill, Cin In Cincinnati, Jeremy Hill has a consistency about him once again. Averaging 13 FPPG with a /// stat line he is a perfect flex player. The Bengals OL is a work in progress. And Dalton has already been sacked 12 times (20 times in 2015 and 21 in 2014) already compared to much lower totals throughout his career. With that factor and inexperience at WR, Crowell s number is going to be called at a steady week after week pace. This week playing Miami on Thursday night, we are figuring about 10 FP for Isaiah Crowell. WR Tyrell Williams, SD With Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead out for the season and Antonio Gates dinged up, Tyrell Williams has gone from obscure to prime time quickly, Since having a single game, 17 point performance in Week 17 of 2015, he has averaged 12 FPPG on an stat line thus far in His role will be increasing, but he is already a solid flex candidate. Put him in your lineup and confidently look for Williams to give you fantasy points this week against an inviting Saints defense. Philip Rivers loves to throw the ball. The Saints CANNOT stop him and Williams will get you some great points. WR DeSean Jackson, Was So far QB Kirk Cousins and DeSean Jackson have developed some chemistry. Jackson is averaging 14 FPPG with a three game stat line. He is the kind of WR that can score anytime he catches the ball. As the Washington offense gels, Jackson will only get better. Right now he is a great choice as a flex WR. Look for him to get you about FP this week against the Browns at home. Love em and Leave em

Weekly Report Page 20 A player here has some flex appeal, but you really only want him because of a favorable matchup this week. You will likely see some red warning flags as you approach. A background check may alert you to injury risks, his coach may favor someone else that is not even suiting up this week, etc., etc. But hey, you don t want to consider marriage. A one week stand is all you need him for now. But over the long-haul, maybe, just maybe he could fit the bill for something long-term. WR Steve Smith, Bal This tough as nails WR really fits in on a team known for toughness like the Ravens. He is still getting into the groove as he has been recovering from a lingering 2015 injury. Despite that, he has averaged 11 FPPG so far with a stat line. Playing the Raiders at home this week, we like the match up and see Smith getting about FP against them. WR Alan Hurns, Jac With the Jaguars offense floundering so far, one of the victims is last year s phenom Alan Hurns. So far he is only averaging 11 FPPG with a stat line. He is a WR 2 temporarily performing at a lower level. He is still a decent flex play this week. In three prior games against Indianapolis Hurns has averaged 17 FPPG. We expect Alan Hurns to be good for FP against the Colts. RB Duke Johnson, Cle Duke Johnson might be disappointing owners because he has gotten off to a slow start. Averaging only 10 FPPG with a stat line of /// he is not the RB2 everyone hoped for. Last week the Browns offense came to life and we believe his season numbers should be on the incline. For this week anyway, playing the Redskins at Washington, expect Johnson to give you at least 7-8 FP. With a little luck those numbers will continue, or even improve, making him a viable weekly lineup play. TE Zach Miller, Chi Ugly is the one word to describe the Bears after three games. The offense has injuries and poor play to show for the first 180 minutes of the 2016 season. Out of the darkness though, Zach Miller has averaged 13 FPPG based on numbers. With 27 FP in Week 3 against the Cowboys he has been the best fantasy play on the team. This week playing the Lions at home, we think Miller will give you about 9-10 FP. Last Call

Weekly Report Page 21 The bar is closing and you are so, so desperate. We have all been there at one time or another. LeSean McCoy or another similar wasted draft choice is a scratch once again. Who can I add to my roster? Here we will give you a guy to start. He won t be great and very seldom will he be even good. But this week this mutt of a player will give you at least something from the flex position. WR John Brown, Ari In early August, John Brown got a concussion. The effects dragged on and on and in the first two weeks of the season he was not able to pit FP on the board. Last week though he led the way for the Cardinals, scoring 13 FP with a stat line. For those that know Brown, you will realize that this is his normal. He usually hits just about this level week in and week out, with little variation. In four prior games John Brown has averaged 14 FPPG against the Rams, Let s play it safe and say to look for about FP this week. TE Jimmy Graham, Sea Ahoy there! We have a Jimmy Graham sighting off Puget Sound! After playing the role of the invisible man during his stint in Seattle, Graham exploded onto the scene with a solid 22 FP game in Week 3, coupled with a numbers. His emergence could not have come at a better time with so many teammates hurting. Let s not push our luck this week against the Jets in New York. No, let s throw out a target of 7-8 FP and see if Jimmy Graham can get it. If so, he can be counted on as a viable player going forward. Adrian Balboa To Rocky, she was the greatest, prettiest woman in the world. To the rest of us with discerning tastes perhaps not so much. In fantasy football there are players like that available all the time. While others are running away from a player and completely overlooking them is the time for you to swoop in and snap them up. WR Adam Humphries, TB Adam Humphries is averaging 13 FPPG based on a growing stat line. In the first three games Jameis Winston has targeted him 25 times already. He looks like the real deal and just because nobody else knows who he is yet, he remains to be available in most leagues. He is a good flex play. The Broncos are a tough defensive foe. Expect Humphries to score about 7-8 points against them this week. TE Hunter Henry, SD

Weekly Report Page 22 As Antonio Gates sat with an injury last week, we had a glimpse of the Chargers future TE, Hunter Henry. He came up with 12 FP and had a nice game. Gates will either be a bit hobbled this week and could even wind up sitting out. If you are desperate, give Henry a chance. We look for Hunter Henry to give us about 7-8 FP this week against a Saints defense that cannot seemingly stop anyone. TE Cameron Brate, TB With Austin Seferian-Jenkins waived and gone, the TE job in Tampa Bay goes to Cameron Brate. With 10 targets, 21 FP and a stat line in Week 2 he showed potential for the long run. Stick Brate in your flex position and expect him to give you about 7-8 FP this week against the Broncos... And there you have it the Week 4 flex player recommendations. When you look at your lineup, view it as a combination of players designed to give you enough points not only to win this week, but enough to win each and every week and ultimately to win the league championship. Work hard each week to have the strongest lineup possible. Use your judgment to maximize your points based on the players you have. Work the waiver wire and seek out trades to give you the strongest roster you can have. Your job is not done just because the draft is over and the season has begun. In fact things only get harder from this point on. Outwork your opponents and keep building your team from week to week. Good luck! Have fun! 23 Weekly Report Page 23 The Blitz Week 3 TEAM DEFENSE Here s what we think we know heading into Week 4: Last week we chased the Cleveland Browns offense with rookie Cody Kessler under center. The Browns weren t the easy prey we assumed as they rolled out the Terrelle Pryor package and kept the Dolphins defense on it s heels. We are chasing Cleveland again as the Washington Redskins will be ready for Pryor and Josh Norman is due for a big game The Minnesota Vikings are plain and simply an every week start. Last week they sacked Cam Newton 8 times forcing 3 turnovers and recorded a safety. Minnesota also had a return for a score. They face the Giants this week and in the game between these teams last year they sacked Eli Manning 4 times racked up 3 interceptions and had a D/ST score We like the Cincinnati Bengals at home Thursday night against Miami. Vontaze Burfict returns from suspension and the lowly Cleveland defense just scored double digit points against the Dolphins. The Patriots defense has stepped as they await the return of Tom Brady holding teams to 15 points per game. They re putting up big plays having forced 7 turnovers along with 5 sacks. Rex Ryan has been running his mouth again writing checks that his offense isn t going to be able cash. In the two games between the teams last year the Pats had 10 sacks and 4 turnovers. New York Jets (vs. Seattle)-52.2% owned. The Jets defense is going to be fired up after being hung out to dry by their offense last week as Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 6 picks. Seattle comes to town with a banged up Russell Wilson (knee) having allowed 7 sacks and turned the ball over 6 times in three games. The Jets are stout against the run and will force Wilson to throw allowing Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson and Leonard Williams to get after the hobbled QB. We like the Jets at home.

Weekly Report Page 24 Minnesota (vs. New York Giants)-79% owned. It boggles my mind that the Vikings D/ST isn t owned in 100% of leagues. This is an elite unit that has racked up 15 sacks, 9 turnovers and 3 D/ST scores in Come Monday night they are going to batter Eli Manning forcing him into bad throws and create big play opportunities. Downside Team Defenses for Week 4: Houston (vs. Tennessee)-95% owned. I m guessing that a lot of folks picked up the Texans defense before getting the news that JJ Watt will be out for an extended time after re-injuring his back. While the Texans do still have Whitney Mercilus and Jadeveon Clowney the loss of Watt is a huge blow. The Titans have been generous in giving points to defenses having turned the ball over 7 times and giving up 2 D/ST scores. This week I see Tennessee riding the running game more with a heavy dose of DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry in an effort to keep Marcus Mariota from having to throw a lot (to the other team). That will limit the Texans chances for big plays as they adjust to the loss of Watt. Kansas City (@ Pittsburgh)-74% owned. The Steelers offense was abysmal last week against the Eagles and they will return home looking to bounce back. More importantly they will also get Le Veon Bell back as he returns from suspension. The Chiefs D/ST stats have been bloated by their week 3 drubbing of the mistake prone Jets who turned the ball over 8 times and gave up 2 s. Kansas City has managed only 3 sacks on the season and prior to the Jets game had produced only 2 takeaways. The Steelers roll at home this week offensively. INDIVIDUAL DEFENSIVE PLAYERS Observations from the IDP landscape heading into Week 4: We are loving us some Minnesota Vikings defensive linemen after their dominating performance in Carolina last week. Everson Griffen, Danielle Hunter and Linval Joseph combined for 16 total tackles and 5 sacks last week and are all in the top-30 DL for Week 4 In tackle heavy leagues Arik Armstead and DeForest Buckner of the 49ers are sneaky good plays against a run heavy Dallas offense Look for Mario Williams to notch his first sack since week 1 in a favorable matchup with the Bengals Thursday night. Cincinnati is allowing an average of 3 sacks per game to edge rushers this year The Cowboys failed to get to Brian Hoyer last week but let s keep in mind that the pass rushers for Big D are mostly suspended. We like both Devin Taylor and Kerry Hatcher against Chicago this week. Last season Detroit DL accounted for 4 ½ sacks in games against the Bears Let s roll out a couple/few of Indianapolis Colts LBs this week in a game across the pond against the Jaguars. The Jags have given up 51 solo tackles to LBs which bodes well for DQ Jackson and Sio Moore who is putting up nice numbers on limited snaps. They have also allowed 6 sacks so in big play or deeper leagues Erik Walden ( 2 sacks last week) holds value Don t forget that Vontaze Burfict returns from suspension this week. He may not play every snap right out of the gate but he ll soon be a must start Zach Brown of the Buffalo Bills has racked up 26 total (18 solos) tackles in the last two games while not even playing every down and has a very nice Week 4 matchup. The Patriots have been pounding the rock with LeGarrette Blount as they await the return of Tom Brady. Brown will be very busy this week The Carolina Panthers

Weekly Report Page 25 have given up 74 total tackles to linebackers and Deion Jones is coming off a 8 solo tackle performance last week. Jones also picked off a pass and is the three-down LB that IDP owners love There will be plenty of tackles to go around for the Denver Broncos secondary this week as Tampa Bay has allowed 112 total tackles (91 solos) to DBs in three games. We want TJ Ward in our lineup for sure and in CB required leagues Chris Harris, Aqib Talib and Bradley Roby are worth a start Andrew Sendejo has 23 total stops to begin the season and a very nice matchup against the Giants this week. New York allows an average of 25 solo tackles per game so Sendejo and of course Harrison Smith belong in starting lineups. This could be the week where the Seattle Seahawks secondary actually produces big plays rather than just tackle numbers (which will be available as well) against the Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick was a turnover machine last week and both Brandon Marshall (knee) and Eric Decker (shoulder) are less than 100%. Besides the 6 interceptions DBs have hung on the Jets they ve also forced a fumble and recovered 2. Both Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas are solid plays this week. 30 Weekly Report Page 30 MIAMI DOLPHINS INJURIES TO MONITOR: Arian Foster (groin), Jordan Cameron (concussion) At last check, Arian Foster and Jordan Cameron both looked like long shots to play. So far the Miami Dolphins offense has featured a marginally effective fantasy unfriendly timeshare backfield but lots of throwing, and that approach won t change this week. In the ground game, rookie Kenyan Drake likely will remain the starter, but Jay Ajayi, Damien Williams and even Isaiah Pead will be sprinkled in. This committee is way too difficult to forecast, and even the most desperate fantasy owners should stay away. While the Cincinnati Bengals defense has allowed moderate rushing yardage, this unit still hasn t given up a rushing score. Ryan Tannehill faces a secondary that has slipped a bit, but the 314 yards and four touchdowns that Cincinnati allowed to Trevor Siemian (Broncos) last week looks fluky. Nevertheless, Tannehill should make his living in garbage time this week. Jarvis Landry is a must-start, and DeVante Parker deserves a start. Since Jordan Cameron isn t expected to play, the boom-or-bust (hint, hint) Kenny Stills receive a few extra targets. The must-start A.J. Green has been doing his best to carry the passing game with Tyler Eifert on the shelf, and with Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd still finding their respective grooves in the offense. Green will shred a Miami Dolphins defense that has coughed up the seventh-most fantasy points to enemy wideouts. LaFell and Boyd have been inconsistent. If you need one of them, roll the dice with the veteran LaFell. Cincinnati s backup tight ends lack fantasy appeal. Miami has been gashed by running backs on the road, so this shapes up as a Jeremy Hill game. When Hill runs well, Giovani Bernard s role is usually small. He s a very risky start here. Even though Andrew Luck has tossed just one touchdown pass in each of his last two starts and still isn t playing as well as he did in 2014, the Colts triggerman remains a must-start. Luck will have a nice outing, and so will his favorite target, T.Y. Hilton. Second-year pro Phillip Dorsett was a huge disappointment during his first fill-in start for the injured Donte Moncrief last week. Even though the Jaguars have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to the wideout position, treat Dorsett as a boom-or-bust flex option for now. Dwayne Allen and Jack Doyle are both producing good-but-notgreat numbers as they limit each other s upside. Jacksonville has given up the 11th-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. The touchdown projected for Allen could just as easily go to Doyle. While the Jaguars have surrendered the sixth-fewest fantasy points to enemy running backs, Frank Gore should

Blake Bortles, aside from last week, has thrown for good yardage, but he hasn t tossed more than two touchdowns in a game. Allen Hurns hasn t scored and has compiled middling reception and yardage numbers. He could break out here, but Hurns is a risky start. The Colts rank just 19th in fantasy points allowed to tight ends, so Julius Thomas looks like a safe play. Derrick Henry, however, still isn t receiving enough touches to have standalone value. Delanie Walker, assuming he plays, is also a must-start, but Houston ranks a sturdy fourth in fantasy points allowed to his position. The Cleveland Browns don t have the horses to exploit a leaky Washington defense, but Isaiah Crowell, Terrelle Pryor and Gary Barnidge deserve starting consideration this week. Washington has hemorrhaged the third-most fantasy points to enemy running backs, and Cleveland loves to pound the rock with Crowell. Unfortunately, Duke Johnson s role has been inconsistent, and his usage in the passing game has all but dried up. Even though Washington cornerback Josh Norman doesn t move around the formation, he s expected to spend a good part of the afternoon covering Pryor. The New York Jets pass defense has been nothing to fear, so assuming Wilson can throw without any problems, he should have a solid outing. Doug Baldwin should have few problems against a New York defense that has yielded the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts, and the resurgent Jimmy Graham should continue his strong play against a Jets defense that allowed a big game to Travis Kelce (Chiefs) last week. The usage of Tyler Lockett (no targets last week) and Jermaine Kearse remains very inconsistent from week to week. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS INJURIES TO MONITOR: Antonio Gates (hamstring) In case you missed Monday Night Football, here s what you need to know: the New Orleans Saints defense is terrible. Philip Rivers, Travis Benjamin, Tyrell Williams and Melvin Gordon are all must-starts. If Antonio Gates is a no-go for the second straight game, rookie Hunter Henry has streaming value. Dexter McCluster could surprise, and Dontrelle Inman is a deep-league dice roll. WEEK 4 PLAYER PROJECTIONS PLAYER

Weekly Report Page 73 INJURIES TO MONITOR: Dez Bryant (knee) Double check the status of Dez Bryant. According to media reports, Bryant has a hairline fracture in a bone in his leg. With Bryant s status uncertain, it s hard to project for the Dallas Cowboys fantasy stars. If Bryant sits, Dak Prescott s numbers obviously will take a hit, but Cole Beasley and Jason Witten will receive more targets against a weak San Francisco 49ers secondary. Terrance Williams could surprise, but it doesn t look like he and Prescott are on the same page. San Francisco has allowed 100-yard runners two weeks in a row, so Ezekiel Elliott looks like a solid start. Keep in mind that the 49ers defense usually puts up a fight at home. 74 Weekly Report Page 74 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS INJURIES TO MONITOR: Vance McDonald (hip) The talent deficient San Francisco 49ers offense has endured its share of road struggles, but this score unit isn t terrible when it s playing at home. Carlos Hyde, however, remains the only safe play. Assuming Vance McDonald doesn t suit up, Garrett Celek has a good chance to find the end zone versus a Dallas Cowboys defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to enemy tight ends. The guess here is that Charles will sit again, and Spencer Ware will carry the load. The Pittsburgh Steelers defense hasn t allowed big rushing yardage to tailbacks, but the Steelers have ceded three rushing scores and big receiving yardage numbers to the position. Ware continues to outtouch Charcandrick West by a notable margin. The Steelers have coughed up big yardage to quarterbacks, but enemy passers haven t tossed more than one scoring strike at Heinz Field. Consider Alex Smith a weak play. While Jeremy Maclin is the only Kansas City wideout with any fantasy value, Pittsburgh has allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the position. The Steelers, however, have been somewhat soft against tight ends, so Travis Kelce is the top candidate for a score. Consider the Chiefs team defense a weak play. WEEK 4 PLAYER PROJECTIONS

Spencer Ware carried two times for eight yards in a backup role. Jeremy Maclin (concussion) missed the game. Travis Kelce made five grabs for 73 yards.

Weekly Report Page 78 PITTSBURGH STEELERS INJURIES TO MONITOR: Eli Rogers (toe) As you surely know, the must-start Le Veon Bell returns from his league suspension, and he ll obviously receive a heavy workload. There has been Internet speculation that Pittsburgh plans to use DeAngelo Williams in the same backfield with Bell on occasion, and the 33-year-old Williams also could see time at wideout. Will Williams have standalone value going forward? We ll see. However, don t start him this week. Statistically, the Kansas City Chiefs defense has been solid against the pass, but the Chiefs have faced only Brock Osweiler on the road so far. Antonio Brown is a must-start as always, and Ben Roethlisberger is a strong play. The other Steelers receivers look like moderate starts. The Pittsburgh team defense is a starting option. 80 Weekly Report Page 80 NEW YORK GIANTS INJURIES TO MONITOR: Rashad Jennings (thumb/hand) Looking for fantasy gold versus an elite Minnesota Vikings defense (first in the NFL in sacks and second in takeaways) that stuffed the vaunted Carolina Panthers offense in Charlotte, North Carolina last week? Good luck with that. The must-start Odell Beckham, who missed his team s 2015 clash with the New York Giants because of a league suspension, is the only reasonably safe play here. In Week 1, Minnesota limited Aaron Rogers to 213 passing yards and one scoring strike, so there s little reason to get excited about Eli Manning, Sterling Shepard and Victor Cruz. With Shane Vereen (triceps) on the injury shelf for the rest of the season, Rashad Jennings and Orleans Darkwa will operate in a committee, and we could see rookie Paul Perkins sprinkled in. Since the Vikings have ceded the seventh-fewest fantasy points to enemy tailbacks, Jennings and Darkwa are weak plays.
