Rookies and veterans report to camp on Friday, July 28, with the first practice taking place the next day under the direction of head coach Mike Mularkey. Fans of the Titans are invited to watch 13 total training camp practices free of charge, beginning with the July 29 workout at 2:40 p.m. CDT. All but two of the open practices will take place at Saint Thomas Sports Park, with the exceptions coming Aug. 4 at Centennial High School in Franklin, Tenn., and Aug. 5 at Nissan Stadium. From Aug , the Titans will host the Carolina Panthers for a pair of joint practices leading up to their preseason matchup on Aug. 19. Training camp is the only time of the year in which practices are open to the general public. CHANGES TO CAMP IN 2017 Spectators who have attended training camp in previous years will notice significant changes and upgrades in 2017, implemented for the safety and comfort of everyone in attendance. Perhaps most significantly, bleachers with awnings surround the field to provide ample seating and shade. A cold, filtered water station and two misting areas to help keep fans cool are available free of charge. As always, select players will sign autographs after practice, but the sessions will take place in the south, middle end zone area. The number of players signing is increasing to per day. A limited number of free parking spaces are available across the street from Saint Thomas Sports Park at 445 Great Circle Road, as has been the case in recent years. Additionally, free parking is available at Nashville Metro Parks and Recreation's Ted Rhodes Multipurpose Fields (720 Mainstream Drive), where courtesy shuttles run continuously starting one hour before practice and running until one hour after practice concludes. The Titans are instituting enhanced security measures at training camp this year. To enter the grounds, fans must pass through a metal detector. Purses, diaper bags, and small fanny packs or similar items are allowed, but they are subject to thorough inspection. Larger bags, backpacks and suitcases are prohibited. Other items not allowed include food and beverage, coolers, liquids, umbrellas, chairs and strollers. Empty water bottles are allowed and can be filled at the free water station. MULARKEY ENTERS SECOND FULL SEASON AT THE HELM Mularkey enters his second training camp as the team's head coach, looking to develop a roster that is team-first, tough, dependable and detailed, bedrock virtues that are preached in meeting rooms and posted in the halls of Saint Thomas Sports Park. The approach helped Mularkey lead the Titans to a 9-7 record in 2016, tripling the win total from The six-win improvement tied for the most in franchise history (1967 and 1974), Last year's squad defeated six teams with winning records Detroit, Miami, Green Bay, Denver, Kansas City and Houston to tie the Dallas Cowboys for the most such victories in the NFL. Five of those wins were against playoff teams (all but Denver), which tied the Packers' total for the most in the league. This year's team will be tested similarly in the early stages, as four of the Titans' first five opponents Oakland, Seattle, Houston and Miami made the playoffs in Under Mularkey's watch, five Titans players were voted to the Pro Bowl in 2016: tight end Delanie Walker, left tackle Taylor Lewan, running back DeMarco Murray, defensive tackle Jurrell Casey and outside linebacker Brian Orakpo. It was the team's most Pro Bowl Continued on next page

2 TitansOnline.com/MediaGuide Tennessee Titans 2017 Training Camp Preview Page 2 of 31 selections since All five of the all-stars return to the squad in MARIOTA HEALTHY, READY FOR YEAR 3 Of all the storylines heading into Titans training camp, none is likely to receive more attention than the status of quarterback Marcus Mariota, who enters his third season since being selected with the second pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. In 2016, Mariota was having one of the best statistical seasons of any quarterback in club history when a right fibula fracture in Week 16 brought the run to an abrupt end. He went about the task of rehabbing the injury following corrective surgery and was able to participate on a limited basis in every practice during the offseason. With the Titans reporting to training camp seven months to the day of the surgery (Dec. 28), the signal caller is hopeful to be a full participant on Day 1. Even with his season cut short by a game, Mariota's 2016 numbers were among the franchise's all-time best, as he completed 276 of 451 passes for 3,426 yards and 26 touchdowns with nine interceptions. His touchdown total finished fourth in team history, and furthermore, his 95.6 passer rating ranked third in team annals for a single season, behind only Steve McNair's passer rating in 2003 and Warren Moon's 96.8 in In his first two years combined, Mariota passed for 6,244 yards and 45 touchdowns, while throwing only 19 interceptions. His 93.8 career passer rating ranked sixth in NFL history for a player's first two NFL campaigns, trailing only Kurt Warner (107.9), Dan Marino (104.5), Nick Foles (101.0), Russell Wilson (100.6) and Ben Roethlisberger (98.3). Mariota s 16 games with at least two touchdown passes tied for third all-time for a player's first two NFL seasons, matching the production of Wilson and Peyton Manning, and trailing only Marino (22) and Derek Carr (17). He has thrown 33 career touchdown passes in the red zone without an interception. ROBINSON BUILDING THE ROSTER Jon Robinson enters his second training camp as general manager of the Titans. He was named to the post in January 2016, and only a year later, controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk added executive vice president to his title. During the 2017 offseason, Robinson presided over 69 personnel moves (players acquired, traded, released or placed on reserved lists), resulting in a 90-man roster that includes 39 players acquired since the conclusion of the 2016 finale. Sixty-five of this year's training camp participants have been added since Robinson was hired (72.2 percent). All are vying for spots on the regular season roster, which is required by the NFL to be trimmed to 53 players by Sept. 2. When the unrestricted free agent signing period began in March, Robinson addressed needs on defense, leading the efforts to sign cornerback Logan Ryan (New England), safety Johnathan Cyprien (Jacksonville) and nose tackle Sylvester Williams (Denver). The special teams unit received significant upgrades with the signing of returner Eric Weems (Atlanta), linebacker Daren Bates (Oakland) and safety Brynden Trawick (Oakland). Then, in the 2017 NFL Draft, Robinson spent first-round picks on wide receiver Corey Davis (fifth overall) and cornerback Adoree' Jackson (18th overall). It marked the first time the franchise had a pair of first-round draft selections since Davis and Jackson were the initial two players of a nine-player draft haul that also featured wide receiver Taywan Taylor and tight end Jonnu Smith in the third round. With the offseason nearly in the rearview, the Titans reached an agreement with veteran wide receiver Eric Decker in June. Decker, formerly of the Denver Broncos and New York Jets, arrives with three 1,000-yard receiving seasons on his résumé. From , only Decker, Calvin Johnson and Demaryius Thomas produced at least 70 receptions, 900 receiving yards and five touchdowns in every season. Robinson and the Titans hope this year's newcomers provide a similar jolt as last year's group. All 10 members of the 2016 draft class appeared in at least one game during the regular season, and all presently remain with the club. First-rounder Jack Conklin, Robinson's first-ever draft pick as a general manager, was named a first-team Associated Press All-Pro after starting every game at right tackle. In March 2016, Robinson made his first major acquisition, swapping fourth-round draft picks with the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for Murray. The trade provided major dividends in 2016, as Murray led the AFC and ranked third in the NFL with 1,287 rushing yards. Murray also ranked fourth in the NFL in scrimmage yards (1,664) and first downs (84) and finished tied for seventh in total touchdowns (12). The 2016 free agent class featured center Ben Jones and wide receiver Rishard Matthews, both of whom were instrumental in transforming the Titans offense into the 11th-ranked unit in the NFL. 6 TitansOnline.com/MediaGuide Tennessee Titans 2017 Training Camp Preview Page 6 of 31 EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT/GENERAL MANAGER JON ROBINSON Jon Robinson was hired as Titans general manager on Jan. 14, 2016 after spending two years as director of player personnel for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Nearly one year later, on Jan. 5, 2017, he was promoted to executive vice president/ general manager. Jon has done great work since his arrival to our organization and this is a way to recognize that fact, controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said upon promoting Robinson. His leadership and football acumen helped change our culture and improve our team. He and Mike (Mularkey) deserve a great deal of credit for our turnaround this year and I am hopeful that will continue this coming year and into the future. This is an acknowledgement of his work and it puts him on equal footing with others in the league who direct football operations. This organization means the world to me and I am working on a daily basis to make it better, said Robinson. "I don t stand alone in this task of improving our team from ownership, Mike and the coaches, the players who have bought in to our program, scouts and staff. We all have worked together to create a family and hopefully a culture of long-term success. Early in the 2017 offseason, Robinson used free agency to address needs on defense and special teams. Most notably, he spearheaded deals for cornerback Logan Ryan (New England), safety Johnathan Cyprien (Jacksonville), nose tackle Sylvester Williams (Denver) and returner Eric Weems (Atlanta). In June, he led the charge to sign veteran wide receiver Eric Decker (New York Jets). In the 2017 NFL Draft, Robinson spent first-round picks on wide receiver Corey Davis (fifth overall) and cornerback Adoree' Jackson (18th overall). It marked the first time the franchise had a pair of first-round draft selections since Davis and Jackson were the initial two players of a nine-player draft haul that also featured wide receiver Taywan Taylor and tight end Jonnu Smith in the third round. In his first season as an NFL general manager, Robinson's leadership and decision-making helped the Titans triple their win total from the previous season, finishing 9-7 after a 3-13 finish in The six-win improvement tied for the most in franchise history (1967 and 1974) and doubled the previous club benchmark for the most wins in the first year under a new general manager (three by Bum Phillips in 1975). Within his first four months on the job, Robinson made several key personnel decisions. On March 9, Robinson made his first major acquisition, swapping fourth-round draft picks with the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for running back DeMarco Murray. Around the same time, Robinson began to work the free agent market. Center Ben Jones and wide receiver Rishard Matthews highlighted the haul, and both were instrumental in helping to transform the Titans offense into the 11th-ranked unit in the NFL. Jones started all 16 games and keyed a rushing attack that ranked third in the league, while Matthews set career highs with 65 receptions (tied for the team lead), a team-high 945 receiving yards and a team-high nine touchdown receptions. The latter number tied for sixth in the NFL and tied for ninth in franchise history. On April 14, 2016, two weeks before the NFL Draft, Robinson and the Titans dealt the first overall pick to the Los Angeles Rams in one of the biggest trades in recent NFL history. The Titans gave up the No. 1 pick and a fourth-rounder in order to receive the 15th overall pick, two second-rounders and a third-rounder in 2016, plus the Rams first- and third-round picks in From , there were seven trades involving the No. 1 overall pick, but this was the first since 2004, when the San Diego Chargers selected Eli Manning with the first pick and dealt his rights to the New York Giants. The Titans had their hands at one point or another on 17 selections in the 2016 draft due to five different trades (including one trade in 2015), and in the end, they ended up with a class of 10 players, including four of the top 45 picks. Robinson swung a draft-day trade with the Cleveland Browns to move back up to the eighth slot to choose Michigan State tackle Jack Conklin. All 10 members of Robinson's first draft class played in at least one game. They accumulated a total of 110 games played and 38 starts, including 16 starts at right tackle by Conklin. The eighth-overall pick capped his successful rookie campaign by being named first-team All-Pro by Associated Press. Other rookies in 2016 who made significant contributions included second-round running back Derrick Henry, third-round safety Kevin TITANS PERSONNEL/SCOUTING STAFF Jon Robinson Executive Vice President/General Manager Vin Marino Vice President of Football Administration Carly Mygrants.... Robinson arrived in Tennessee with a wide range of experience from working his way up on the personnel side of the NFL. From , he served as director of player personnel for the Buccaneers and oversaw both college and pro departments as the team rebuilt its roster. The 2015 Buccaneers draft class made a significant impact, including four rookie starters: quarterback Jameis Winston, tackle Donovan Smith, guard Ali Marpet and linebacker Kwon Alexander. Our goal here is to win, bottom line, Robinson said after accepting the new job. That is a measuring stick that all franchises are measured by. Mike (Mularkey) and I have an aligned vision of what we want this team to look like. We want tough players, we want coachable players, we want smart players and most importantly we want players with a team-first attitude. My role here is to insure we find those players. I will coach the personnel staff on the type of players that we want and identify the guys that are true fits of what we are looking for in a Titan. Prior to joining Tampa Bay, Robinson spent 12 years with the New England Patriots, including his last five years ( ) as the director of college scouting. Robinson then spent two years ( ) as a regional scout, before being promoted to assistant director of college scouting in 2008 and then director of college scouting in In his time scouting for the Patriots the team won 10 division titles, four conference titles and two Super Bowls (2003, 2004). I was really most specifically on the college side as the college director (in New England). So my duties there were to organize all of the scouting of the college players in preparation for the draft and rookie free agency. When I got to Tampa, I was really exposed to everything as it relates to the day-to-day operations of running the football team, to the Monday meetings with the trainer and (general manager) Jason (Licht), working through the emergency list, the practice squad list, preparing for free agency, along with overseeing the college draft. It really opened my eyes to everything that goes on on a day-to-day basis, on a weekly basis, on a monthly basis that an NFL team has to prep for. Robinson played three years at Southeast Missouri State as a defensive lineman after starting his college career at the Air Force Academy. Following his college career as a player, he spent one season (1998) coaching at his alma mater and three years ( ) coaching at Nicholls State.
