This Week The Mountaineers return to action this weekend when they host Concordia and Warner Pacific on Friday and Saturday.. If you brining your Friday night tickets to the game on Saturday, you will receive half off your ticket prices. Scouting the Opponents Concordia The Cavaliers of Concordia (Ore.) enter this weekend with a record of 7-4 on the season and 2-1 in the CCC. Concordia is currently riding a three game losing streak and in their last game lost to Warner Pacific, 72-69, in double overtime on Dec. 19. Concordia has three players averaging double-figures on the season, led by Lexi Campbell, who is averaging 12.7 points per game. Campbell plays a team high 36 minutes per game. The Cavaliers are shooting 38.8 percent from the floor while holding opponents to shoot 34.2 percent from the floor. Warner Pacific The Warner Pacific (Ore.) Knights enter this weekend with an 8-8 overall record and a 1-2 mark in CCC action. The Knights lost their last game on Dec. 30 to Menlo, The loss snapped a three game winning streak. On the season, the Knights are averaging 63.1 points per game and are shooting 38.9-percent from the floor. Leading the way for the Knights is Jordan Wilcox, who is averaging 16.4 points per game. She is also averaging the most minutes on the team, playing in 32 minutes per game. Wilcox is shooting 38 percent from behind the arc and made a team-high 51 three-pointer on the season. Last Time Out The last time the Mountaineers took to the court was the weekend of Dec. 19th and 20th. EOU went 1-1 that weekend with a win over Oregon Tech and loss to Southern Oregon. On Friday, Maya Ah You came off the bench and scored 22 points for the Eastern Oregon University women's basketball team but it was not enough as they fell to the Raiders of Southern Oregon University on Friday Night. Ah You was 9-of-13 from the field on the game. Airashay Rogers followed with 16 points in the defeat. The loss snapped the Mountaineers (10-4, 2-1 CCC) four game winning streak. The next night, held the Oregon Tech Owls to 35 percent shooting and Nikki Osborne led EOU with 21 points as Eastern Oregon came away with a victory on Saturday night. Osborne, was 5-of-15 shooting from the floor and a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line on the night. Maloree Moss added 16 points for the Mountaineers. 3 eers, with 11 points. Dishing Out Assists EOU has dished out a CCC and NAIA best 294 total assists on the season. Leading the way is Maloree Moss who has 55 assists on the season. Moss is averaging 3.7 assists per game. Eastern Oregon is third in the NAIA averaging 19.6 assists per game. Scoring Margin The Mountaineers find themselves scoring the second most points in the CCC and allowing the second fewest points. This season, EOU is averaging 79.8 points per game and holding opponents to 55.3 points per game. They have a CCC best and rank second nationally in scoring margin as they outscore their opponents by 24.5 points per game. High Percentage Shots Eastern Oregon is shooting 45.8 percent from the floor this season, which is eighth best in the NAIA. Leading the way for the Mountaineers is Kassy Larson, who is making 59 percent of her field goals on the season. Larson s 59 percent is fifth best nationally. Besides Larson, EOU has three other players on the team shooting over 50 percent from the floor. Bench Spark On Friday, Dec. 19th, the Mountaineers Maya Ah You came off the bench and scored a team-high 22 points. She was 9-of-13 shooting from the field, to score her career-high at EOU. Wilcox Leading the Way This weekend, the Mountaineers will look to stop senior Jordan Wilcox of Warner Pacific. Wilcox is the leading scorer in the Cascade Collegiate Conference averaging 16.4 points per game.
