Give the Red Wolves their 51st victory over the last three years. Give A-State head coach Brian Boyer his 277th career win. Give A-State it s 272nd win in the Convocation Center Extend A-State s home winning streak to 12 straight. LONGING FOR HOME A-State has played just one home since the regular began on Nov. 14 (a victory over Wichita State). A-State has traveled 5,109 miles on the road this season. A-State will be playing just it s second home game of the season on Dec. 12. The seventh game of the season for game No. 2 is tied the second longest period in school history for the Red Wolves second home game. The team went 8 games in before playing it s second home game and also waited seven games in A VERY EXCLUSIVE CLUB Aundrea Gamble is three steals away from becoming the 14th player in school history with at least 150 career steals. She is also on the cerge of becoming just the fifth student-athlete in school history to amass 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists and 150 steals in a career. She has already hit the marks for points and assists and needs 67 more rebounds for 500 for her career. TOUGH ONES TO TAKE In each of A-State s two losses this season the Red Wolves have had double-digit leads in the third quarter. The Red Wolves have also been hot from beyond the arc in the third quarter in each loss, hitting five straight 3s against Chattanooga and four straight against Florida. The streaks were immediately followed by long scoring droughts however. A-State total margin of loss has been just five points in its two setbacks. THREE YEAR WIN TOTALS A-State s three-year run ranks among one of the best in school history. The chart below denotes the top three-year runs in terms of wins in school history. Wins Three-Year Win Totals Seasons To To To To To To To Present NO PARTY FOULS AT A-STATE The Red Wolves have committed the eigth fewest fouls in the country (87) entering Saturday s contest. A-State also ranks 30th in the nation with just 14.5 fouls per game. Alcorn has also been efficient when it comes to fouling and ranks 3oth in the country with just 106 fouls agains them. 5

With the victory, A-State made FGCU (as of Nov. 28) on their home court since joining Division I. DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE Khadija Brown-Haywood collected just the second double-double of her impressive career on Nov. 28 against Florida Gulf Coast. The senior forward had 12 points and hauled in 10 rebounds in A-State s win. Her other double-double came in the Sun Belt Conference tournament last season against Appalachian State. DOUBLE-DIGIT BOARDS Khadija Brown-Haywood has had back-to-back games where she has collected 10 rebounds (10 vs Chattanooga & 10 vs FGCU). She is the first A-State player to have back-to-back double-digit rebounds games since Jalen O Bannon had three straight games in MAKING CHARITY COUNT A-State went a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line against Chattanooga on Nov. 25, marking the first time since 2012 that A-State did miss a free throw. A-State was a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe against Little Rock on Feb. 25, GIMMIE ONE STEP, TWO STEPS, THREE STEPS FOR THREE A-State drained nine 3-pointers against Chattanooga, the most since it made 10 against Louisiana-Lafayette on March 8, A-State also took 24, 3-pointers against Chattanooga, the most since it had 26 against UT Martin on Nov. 11, This is the second time A-State has taken 20 or more 3-pointers in a game this season. It took 23 in the season opener at Tennessee Tech. STIFLING DEFENSE The Arkansas State defense held Wichita State to just 40 points on Nov. 21 at the Convocation Center, the lowest total since when A-State held Christian Brothers to 39 points. That 40 points is the lowest total for Division I opponent since the Northern Arizona scored 40 against A-State during the season. THOU SHALL STEAL A-State has recorded double-digit through its first six games for the first time since season when the squad had six straight games with double-digit steals. The Red Wolves had double-digit steals in just 10 games in THE SIXTH SENSE A-State committed just six fouls against Wichita State on Nov. 21, it s lowest total in a game since A-State had just six fouls against Louisiana-Lafayette in 2012, with the most recent occurrence on Feb. 11, 2012 at Lafayette. NOT JUST ON THE BUBBLE, BUT WE WERE THE BUBBLE Arkansas State was among the first four teams not to make the NCAA Tournament and by most experts accounts the Red Wolves were the first team not selected. A-State had an RPI of 45 going into this past Monday s selection show and the 44 teams in front of them were taken. Six teams behind A-State in the RPI rankings all received bids, while the Red Wolves did not. HOME COURT ADVANTAGE A-State has posted a (.753) on its home floor since the season and has compiled double-digit home win totals 13 seasons. AGAINST LEAGUE OPPONENTS The Red Wolves have an all-time record of against league teams. 6

One of the most recognizable names and faces in the Sun Belt Conference and women s college basketball, Brian Boyer has built an illustrious career highlighted by countless milestones, including becoming the all-time wins leader in the SBC. In his 16 years on the sidelines, Boyer was the primary architect in transforming the Arkansas State women s program into a model of consistency since taking over in 1999 and guiding the team to an appearance in the Women s National Invitation Tournament. He has coached the Red Wolves to six appearances in the WNIT and two SBC regular-season championships including the outright regular season crown in An ambassador for both Arkansas State and the sport of college basketball, Boyer has enjoyed an unprecedented level of success through an energetic and positive approach to the game. A three-time Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year ( , & ), Boyer has compiled an impressive (.549) record over his 16-year career. Boyer possesses the most conference wins by a coach in Sun Belt Conference in both the men s and women s game. He is the longest tenured basketball active coach in the conference and has also coached more games than any basketball coach (men s or women s) in Arkansas State history. A-State has an unprecedented run of success over the last two years and has compiled 46 wins from the through the season, the third most in school history over any two-year span. Boyer helped guide the team to back-to-back Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship appearances and led his squad to back-to-back WNIT berths for the first time in a decade. The season saw numerous records fall in what could be considered Arkansas State s most successful run in school history. The Red Wolves tied a school record with 21 regular season victories and fell just one win shy of tying the all-time mark of wins in a single year at 25. The squad participated in the Preseason WNIT and Postseason WNIT, one of just two teams in the country to do that, and narrowly missed garnering the program s first NCAA Tournament berth with an RPI of 44 at season s end. The Red Wolves had the highest RPI of any team in the country to not make the NCAA Tournament. Boyer and the Red Wolves also made the Convocation Center one of the toughest places to play in the league, compiling a perfect 10-0 record in league play and winning a total of 14 games in Jonesboro, tying the school record (men s and women s) for most home in a single year. In addition, A-State has won 16 straight games at home during conference play, the second longest streak in the SBC. Under Boyer s tutelage, Aundrea Gamble collected her second straight Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year honor after winning the league s scoring title and setting the school record for most assists in a single season. She was also named a CollegeSportsMadness.com Mid-Major First-Team All-American and earned Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team honors. In addition, Jasmine Hunt and Khadija Brown-Haywood also earned Third-Team All-Conference honors and finished second and third on the team respectfully in scoring. The campaign was perhaps the best of Boyer s historic career at A-State. The Red Wolves finished with a overall record and a 14-4 mark in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC). The squad captured the outright regular-season Sun Belt Conference title for the first time in school history. A-State entered the SBC Tournament as the No. 1 seed and advanced to the championship game for the second time in program history. It was also a historic year for Boyer, who surpassed former Louisiana Tech coach Leon Barmore and Florida International coach Cindy Russo for the most league wins in Sun Belt Conference at 136 on March 5, 2014 and won his third career SBC Coach of the Year award at the end of the season. Boyer currently stands at 153 career league wins. Boyer has coached 25 players to All-Conference status during his tenure, but his team s success is not limited to just on the court. The program won back-to-back Sun Belt Conference Team Academic honors in and with team GPA s that were over the 3.0 mark.
