Since joining the ACC in 1953, Clemson is in its first ACC home game of each season. Interestingly, despite having competed in the ACC for 65 years prior to 2018, Clemson has only hosted ACC teams in 64 of those campaigns. In the league's second year in 1954, Clemson played all three of its conference games away from home, including road games at South Carolina and at Maryland and a neutral site contest against Wake Forest in Charlotte. Clemson will be seeking its eighth consecutive victory in the first home game of conference play. The last time Clemson dropped its first home ACC contest was in 2010, the last year prior to Clemson's current stretch of seven consecutive 10-win seasons. An eighth consecutive victory would tie the program's longest streak of wins in the first home game of ACC play, matching the mark set from CLEMSON IN FIRST CONFERENCE HOME GAME SINCE JOINING ACC IN 1953 ( ) Year Rank^ Opponent W-L CU-Opp /3 Maryland L /- Wake Forest W /- Virginia W /13 North Carolina State L /- Virginia W /- North Carolina State W /- Virginia W /- Maryland L /- Duke L /- North Carolina State L /- Virginia W /- North Carolina State W /- Virginia W /- Wake Forest W /- Duke W /- Wake Forest W /- Virginia W /- Wake Forest W 10-9 PRONUNCIATION GUIDE COACHES HC Dabo Swinney DAH-boh SWEE-nee AHC/STC/TE Coach Danny Pearman PEER-man DE Coach Lemanski Hall LUH-man-skee PLAYERS S Kyle Cote S Peter Cote RB Travis Etienne C Justin Falcinelli DE Clelin Ferrell OL Zach Giella PK Greg Huegel DE Xavier Kelly WR Derion Kendrick RB Ryan Mac Lain DL Justin Mascoll S Tanner Muse TE Milan Richard LB James Skalski LB Baylon Spector CB A.J.
