1 1. Draw Pool Rules The game is a four-player pool game using the full 8 Ball set and all the normal rules of play apply. All fouls are awarded ball in hand to the next player, including a foul on the break. One winner will emerge from each game, the player with a ball on balls left on the table. 1 Deciding Balls - prior to play each player draws three cards from a pack of fifteen cards, ranging from Ace to Joker. Each card correlates to a ball, see table below. Cards are to be drawn face down. Each player has to protect his cards from view. 3 Determining the Break 2 Play order is determined by lag. Each player lags a ball. The winner of the lag breaks. As usual four balls must be driven to the rail on the break or a ball pocketed. Potting a ball on the break entitles the breaker to continue to shoot. A dry break results in the second player coming to the table. and so on until one player is left with a ball or balls on the table. Players may pocket their own balls. 3 When a ball is pocketed, the holder of the card for the pocketed ball MUST place the card face up on the edge of the table. When all of a player s cards are exposed, then that player is eliminated. 4 Determining the Group Winner - Each group plays three times i.e. 3 frames. The winner of each frame is awarded 3 points, the runner-up 2 points and the third-place player 1 point. The first player eliminated is awarded 0 points. 5 Total scores will be tallied - The player with the highest number of points will be the winner. In the event of tied scores, those players will play a tiebreaking frame to determine final rankings.

3 2. 10 Ball Speed Pool Rules Generally accepted International 10-Ball Pool Rules shall apply in addition to the following: 1 The competition is handicap singles knock out ie 32->16->8->4->2. If the number of players is more or less than 32 then there will be pre-qualifying or byes 2 The initial head to head match-ups will be decided by lucky draw. One player will play on Table 1, the second player will play on Table 2. 3 Competition will be handicapped according to the following formula for calculating the time advantage for the higher handicapped player: ((Higher HCI Players HCi MINUS lower HCi Player's Handicap)/5) x 10 seconds The result of this calculation will be deducted from the higher handicapped player's actual elapsed time 4 The format in every round is race to 2 5 Player will be timed from break until the 10 ball is potted. 6 Balls can be potted in any order except the 10 ball which must be last. 7 A 10 second penalty shall apply to all fouls, including not letting a scratched white ball return in the standard way and recovered from the ball return. 8 Penalty time(s) are added to the players elapsed time. 9 If the 10 ball is accidentally potted from the break or at any other time, it is re-spotted at the middle of the top cushion and play continues. 10 The cue ball must stop before the next shot can be taken - but other balls can still be moving. 11 If player has not potted all balls within 3 minutes, play will be stopped and no time will be recorded.

Break and Run Rules Generally accepted 8 Ball Pool Rules shall apply in addition to the following: 1 Player will break and continue whether or not a ball is potted from the break. 2 Thereafter, when a player misses a pot or fouls then the game is stopped and the number of balls potted recorded. 3 Balls may be potted in any order. 4 If all 15 balls are potted the balls will be re-racked with the player breaking the balls from where the white landed after potting the 15th ball. 5 The player can request the balls be re-racked at either end of the table. 6 Each player will get 3 attempts to record their best break run. 7 Winners are decided on best break run score.

5 4. 12 Ball Pool Clearance Rules Generally accepted 8-Ball Pool Rules shall apply supplemented by the following: 1 The 12 balls shall be set up as shown in this diagram. The balls must be touching and at the centre of the pocket. 2 Each player will be responsible for setting up his or her own balls (hint: it really is an advantage to get them over the pocket as much as physically possible and touch each other). 3 If a ball falls in the pocket without contact from any other ball it will be placed back on the table where it was and play resumes. 4 The white ball can be placed anywhere on the table to start. 5 If a player fouls the game is stopped and their score is void, even if white goes in off after potting the 12th ball. 6 The number of shots a player takes to clear all 12 balls is recorded and winners are decided on the lowest number of shots taken to do so.

6 5. 9 Ball Handicap Rules Generally accepted 9-Ball Pool Rules shall apply, supplemented by the following: 1 DETERMINATION OF WHO BREAKS - Players shall lag the ball. The player whose ball finishes closest to the cushion will decide who breaks. A ball that touches a side cushion or that goes into a pocket is deemed illegal. 2 SETTING THE RACK - The rack is set up in the normal 9-Ball diamond shape with the 9 ball in the centre of the pack and positioned directly above the spot. 3 GOLDEN BREAK - A player who breaks and pockets the 9-Ball (in the so called Golden or Ace Break), and the 9-Ball only, wins the game immediately. A player s finishing ball is irrelevant in this context. 4 EFFECT OF HANDICAPS - Player 1's HCi is decucted from player 2's HCi, the result divided by 5 and rounded down in all cases. The resultant number determines which ball the higher badicapped player may finish on eg Where the higher handicap players ball is pocketed by the lower handicap player, or leaves the table, then the higher handicap player s finishing ball becomes the next highest ball available. For example, where a player with a finishing ball of 7 sees that ball pocketed by his opponent or sent off the table, that player is immediately reassigned the 8 ball as his or her finishing ball. 6 INTENTIONAL FOULS - an intentional foul shot shall be called by the player's opponent. If the alleged "fouler" disagrees then he may ask for the competition co-ordinator for a ruling.
