Off-Season Acquisition Carter to Make Blue Jackets Debut: C Jeff Carter was acquired by the Blue Jackets from Philadelphia in exchange for Jakub Voracek, a first round pick (Sean Couturier) and third round pick (Nick Cousins) in the 2011 Entry Draft on June 23, He is expected to make his Blue Jackets debut tonight, after spending the previous six seasons with the Flyers. With Philadelphia, he notched and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +51 in 461 games, including a 46-goal season in He has scored 30-or-more goals in three-straight seasons, leading the Flyers in goals all three campaigns. Tonight s Opponent Nashville: Tonight marks first of six meetings overall and first of three at Nationwide Arena this season between the Blue Jackets and Predators. COLUMBUS For the third time in four seasons, the Predators begin their season away from Bridgestone Arena, taking on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at Nationwide Arena. It marks the first time in franchise history the two Central Division foes have faced off on opening night. A season ago, Nashville compiled a record of against the Blue Jackets. In the final regular season game at Bridgestone Arena, the Predators jumped out early with Patric Hornqvist continuing his assault on the Blue Jackets.
