27 U-M TEAM AWARDS DEKERS BLUELINE CLUB The Dekers Blue Line Club was organized for the purpose of supporting Michigan hockey. The club starts the season shortly after Labor Day with a picnic for Dekers and the Michigan hockey team and staff to welcome everyone to the new season. Dekers member dues assist in accomplishing many of the Dekers Blue Line Club s annual activities and projects. Those include: alumni weekend, which includes alumni games and a golf outing; rings for graduating seniors; Dekers Hall of Fame; annual hockey picnic; parents' weekend; awards banquet; trophies; and a raffle. The Dekers highly-acclaimed newsletter Inside The Goal Crease brings everyone up to date on the current activities of the team and the club. The Dekers Club built and continues to maintain the photo gallery and trophy cases in Yost Ice Arena. In the past, Dekers donations have assisted in the purchase of uniforms for the hockey pep band, new furniture for the Michigan team locker room lounge, banners for the hockey pep band, team exercise equipment and a car for recruiting. In its never-ending dedication to the students who play hockey at Michigan, the Dekers Club became the first booster club at Michigan to endow a scholarship. The scholarship covers the cost of room and board for one player each school year. If you would like to consider joining the Dekers organization and assist in the sponsorship of these events and activities, you can find more information on the internet at MGoBlue.com, stop by the Dekers Booth in the lobby of Yost Ice Arena on home game nights or write to: The Dekers Blue Line Club, P.O.
