2 Process Overview Introduce player evaluation forms to be filled out by coaches Process flow for team roster shortfall 1. Membership Coordinator identifies possible shortfall in numbers for a team 2. Membership Coordinator reports this information to President, Vice President and irls or Boys Coordinator (depending on the team) based on registration closing date. 3. The President and/or Vice President identifies the minimum number of players that need to be moved in conjunction with Membership Coordinator and irls Coordinator or Boys Coordinator, as applicable. 4. irls or Boys Coordinator contact both sets of coaches: the age group that is a bracket below the age group in need and the age group that are in the bracket thatexperiences a potential shortfall. 5. The respective coordinator and both sets of coaches agree on a list of participants eligible for assignment based on the T.E.A.M. method. This list will containadditional participants should a parent request LYLA not assign the participant one level greater than the participant is ageeligible for. 6. The President and/or Vice President will arbitrate any disputes pertaining to player choices. 7. Communication from the President to the player and parents of those selected for assignment, notifying them of such one day prior to Step Post team rosters to public with players assigned at least one week prior to the deadline of roster submissions to the state. 9. Review any requests and field questions from parents of participants that may be affected. 10. Make adjustments as necessary.

3 Process and Steps for Working the Numbers Board: Start with U15 enrollments Using minimumnumber needed to form a team, determine how many teams can be formed at that level Determine numbers gap at this level (i.e., how many additional players are needed at this level to form a minimum team) o to next level (e.g., ) and subtract the players needed to fill the numbers gap at the higher level. Repeat process in order (U15 through U9) At U9: cannot have a remainder, so adjust team sizes to max if needed, and if still too large, see if additional players need to be moved up to smooth out the numbers and keep them all within target min/max; repeat this process at each level as needed. 3
