Tonight's game marks the first of three matchups between the teams in a 3-day span. After tonight's game, they will face off in Dallas on Nov. before meeting again in Phoenix on Nov.. The Coyotes are coming off a - win over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday, moving their record to 3-5- for the season. Shane Doan leads all current Coyotes in career scoring against Dallas with --3 in 6 games. He scored three goals in seven games against the Stars last season. Alex Auld has a 3-4- lifetime record against Dallas with a.75 GAA and.6 save percentage. AULD SHUTS OUT DUCKS: Alex Auld helped the Coyotes snap their -game road losing streak at Anaheim on Thursday by posting his third career shutout and first as a Coyote. Auld stopped 3 shots as the Coytoes captured a - win over the Ducks at the Honda Center. The 6-year-old Auld, who signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on Aug. 3, 7, recorded his first shutout on Mar. 3, 3 as a member of the Vancouver Canucks. Last season, with the Florida Panthers, he stopped all 3 shots he faced in regulation and overtime before losing in a shootout to Montreal on Nov., 6. WELLER SCORES FIRST NHL GOAL: Rookie forward Craig Weller scored his first NHL goal in Thursday's - win at Anaheim. He joins Martin Hanzal, Peter Muller and Daniel Winnik as the four Coyotes players who have scored their first career goals this season. The goals by Hanzal, Weller and Winnik were each game-winning goals, meaning that all three of the Coyotes' wins this season came on a GWG by a player scoring his first NHL goal. - WINS: With Thursday's win, the Coyotes/Jets organization moved to 7-3 all-time in - games. It was the team's first - win since Apr. 4, 3, when the Coyotes defeated the Nashville Predators behind a goal from Branko Radivojevic and a shutout by Sean Burke. Prior to Thursday's win, the Coyotes had lost the last four - games they had been involved in. PENALTY-KILLING COYOTES: The Coyotes entered play Friday night ranked 7th in the NHL in penalty killing at.% (7-for-33). TURRIS WINS WEEKLY AWARD AT WISCONSIN: Kyle Turris, who was selected by the Coyotes with the third overall pick in the 7 NHL Entry Draft, has recorded 5-7- in his first four games as a freshman at the University of Wisconsin. Turris was named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 3-. The 6-foot-, 7-pound Turris was rated by Central Scouting as the No. North American skater in this year's draft after scoring for Burnaby of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) to earn league MVP honors. Along with representing Canada at the 7 Under- World Championships in Finland, the New Westminster, British Columbia native played for Team Canada in the 7 Super Series, which featured the best junior players from Canada taking on Russia's top juniors in an eight-game event. Turris led all players with seven Super Series goals. MUELLER SCORES FIRST NHL GOAL: Coyotes center Peter Mueller scored his first career NHL goal on Oct. against Edmonton. With Phoenix trailing - in the second period, the -year-old rookie knocked in a rebound on the power play to tie the game at one. Niko Kapanen and Daniel Carcillo assisted on the goal. Mueller, a native of Bloomington, Minnesota, became the third Coyotes player to score his first NHL goal this season, joining fellow rookies Martin Hanzal and Daniel Winnik. Auld, who signed as a free agent with the club on Aug. 3 after spending last season with Florida, made 36 saves to help lead the Coyotes to a 6-3 win over Nashville. Auld dressed during the team's first two games of the season but did not see action. MILESTONE GOAL: When Martin Hanzal and Craig Weller assisted on Daniel Winnik's third period goal in the season opener vs. St. Louis on Oct. 4, it marked the first time since Mar. 3, that three players each picked up their first career NHL point on the same goal. Radim Bicanek, Matt Davidson and Andrej Nedorost were the last to accomplish this feat as each player recorded his first career point on Bicanek's goal while playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
