3 Purpose - To create a recognizable brand within New Zealand and internationally, as the leading organizer of ice hockey in New Zealand. - To retain NZIHF match uniforms, for re-use with junior teams and/or sale as a fundraising effort to assist with funding of our National Teams at IIHF World Championships. - To create cohesion and a standard of dress befitting of a New Zealand representative. - As a cost-cutting measure, to ensure that off-ice uniforms are similar/same in design through the age grades. All logos used in this Uniform Policy are copyright and trademark protected by the. 3

4 Off-Ice Uniform Policy National Team Off-Ice Uniform is issued through the Team, and is purchased by the player. The player must keep this uniform in clean condition, and can keep the uniform at the conclusion of the World Championship season. The predominant colour of all NZ uniform is to be black. Grey T-shirts can be produced. Black must be the dominant colour for all track suits, hoodies, polo tops and other more formal off-ice uniform. Off-ice uniform are meant to be used through the age grade National Teams, and can consist of: - Track Suits - Hoodies - NZIHF Ties (supplied by the NZIHF) - White dress shirts - Black dress trousers - Black dress shoes - T-shirts - Polo tops - Sponsorship Hoodies - Off-Ice Warm-Up Clothing 4

11 On-Ice Uniform ( ) The IIHF (VS Factory/Tackla) supply each World Championship team with the following, received every four years in December of the even year (eg. 2014, 2018, etc.): - 25 Black Game Jerseys - 25 White Game Jerseys - 30 Black Pant Shells - 25 Pairs Black Game Socks - 25 Pairs White Game Socks Teams supplied are: - Senior Men s (Ice Blacks) - Senior Women s (Ice Fernz) - Under-20 Men - Under-18 Men On-ice Uniforms reused by the NZIHF are: - Under-16 Development Team - Under-18 Women Development Team 11

13 On-Ice Game Uniform Policy All game uniform (game jerseys, game socks, pant shell) provided by the NZIHF to National Teams is to be returned, in good condition, to the manager of each National Team at the conclusion of the tournament / game series. Players can retain the players jersey (one colour of their choice) and playing socks (one colour of their choice) if: a. It is their first year of NZ representation at the IIHF World Championships at any grade. b. It is their 50 th cap for New Zealand at the Senior Men s or Senior Women s level. Players can purchase their jerseys at $100ea (Cost to be confirmed for 2017) at the end of the World Championship Season, provided it is agreed upon by the NZIHF International Ice Hockey Portfolio Holder and the National Team Manager. The NZIHF expects this policy to be in effect for the beginning of the 2017 IIHF World Championships. 13
