NORTH TEXAS ELITE JUNIORS VOLLEYBALL CLUB Thank you for your interest in EXCEL Volleyball Club! EXCEL S mission is to develop each player as an athlete and as a person.

Athletes will learn about the game of volleyball and the commitment required to reach and maintain a high level of success.

They compete in tournaments within the North Texas Region (NTR) and travel to national qualifiers. These teams require a high level of commitment.

1 NORTH TEXAS ELITE JUNIORS VOLLEYBALL CLUB Thank you for your interest in EXCEL Volleyball Club! EXCEL S mission is to develop each player as an athlete and as a person. Our coaching team is dedicated to providing a fun, challenging environment for our members to become better athletes and responsible citizens. Athletes will learn about the game of volleyball and the commitment required to reach and maintain a high level of success. We are committed to promoting and developing our athletes and the sport of volleyball. CLUB TEAMS EXCEL Elite and National teams are highly competitive travel teams. They compete in tournaments within the North Texas Region (NTR) and travel to national qualifiers. These teams require a high level of commitment. Athletes on these teams often aspire to are designed to offer athletes local competitive volleyball. The training and play collegiate volleyball. Red National teams are competitive and require committed athletes. These teams will compete in local tournaments and national qualifiers. Some Red Nationals teams will compete in travel national qualifiers. Regional and EXCEL Performance Volleyball (EPV) teams tournament schedule is less hectic allowing athletes on these teams to pursue other interests. PROGRAMS CONDITIONING, SPORTS ENHANCEMENT & INJURY PREVENTION! EXCEL offers group and individualized support for conditioning, sports enhancement and injury prevention.! The 14 & under program consists speed, agility, coordination and footwork patterns. Instruction is adjusted based on individual team needs.! The High School program incorporates jump training, injury prevention, stretching routines, and core strength o Instructional programs that will focus on spinal stability, shoulder strength, knee and hip strength, ankle mobility and injury prevention o Informational sessions will be offered outside of the normal practice court! Partnership with Dr. Steven Morgan, Orthopaedic Associates of North Texas; Dr. Morgan will attend one practice per month to provide complimentary consultation for sports injury prevention and treatment COLLEGE RECRUITING! Laura Fossier is our dedicated College Recruiting Director! EXCEL ensures your athlete has the opportunity to be seen by colleges of their choice! 2 INTERNATIONAL! Opportunity to compete and train internationally (e.g., Italy, Germany, France, Canada)! Culture immersion COMMUNITY SERVICE! Club members have the opportunity to volunteer for activities that help promote team building, camaraderie and a sense of accomplishment for our athletes on and off the volleyball court! This year EXCEL has partnered with Grisham Farms Therapy Zoo. Grisham Farms is a safe private place for children and adults to work on social, emotional, behavioral and cognitive skill development FUNDRAISING (OPTIONAL)! Wear numbered tryout t-shirt and go to designated court TRYOUT PROCESS! Attend Pre-Tryout Clinics! Pre-register for tryouts on our website ( Attend the first tryout session (offers will be given out the first day)! Callbacks during second tryout time! An athlete can accept an offer on the day of the tryout; offers are valid through noon on Monday following a tryout weekend; unaccepted offers are void after the signing period expires; coaches will offer open positions to other athletes! To accept an offer, a guardian and player must sign the contract and make the down payment (cash or check)! It is the athlete s responsibility to contact EXCEL to accept an offer TRAINING SCHEDULE EXCEL teams practice at Net Results Sports Center. Our teams practice on Tuesday and Thursdays. Weekday practice times range from 4:30-6:00pm, 6:00-8:00pm and 8:00-10:00pm. Positional practices will be held on Sundays between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. UNIFORMS The uniform package includes 2 jerseys, 2 spandex, 2 practice tees, backpack or duffel bag, warm-up pullover jacket and warm-up pants. Teams traveling to two or more travel tournaments will receive 3 jerseys. Excel members will receive preferred pricing on volleyball equipment such as knee pads, shoes, ankle braces, socks, and extra spandex. Uniform fittings will be held on the Thursday following tryouts at Team Leader from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Players are required to attend the fitting. Spirit wear will also be available for purchase.
