1 Class (s): 1-In Hand Arena: Main Arena Start Time: 8 Am When it is your turn to compete, approach arena gate and halt. Acknowledge judge, then begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Complete gate obstacle to enter arena (open gate and enter) 2. Pick up the whacking stick, and whack punching bag so it tips to ground. 3. Proceed to railroad ties. Side pass with railroad tie under horse's belly, do a turn on the forehand at the corner of the L and then continue to side pass off the railroad tie. 4. Pick up tomahawk from wishing well. Trot to barrel, and throw tomahawk into the barrel at a trot. 5. Continue trotting to and over carpet, head for cone alley. 6. Come down to a walk, halt, turn, and back your horse through cone alley. 7. Proceed to bridge. Stand at the cone. Send your horse so that the horse crosses the bridge at a walk completing a full circle. Pick up a trot and trot to figure Complete a figure 8 at a trot starting to the left. Person stands and remains behind rail during figure 8. Send horse around the figure 8 completing 2 full figures. Halt horse at the end of the right hand revolution. Then horse and human cross rail together and jog to next obstacle. 9. Walk through noodle push and the cowboy curtain. 10. Halt and have your horse back through the curtain. 11. Proceed to teddy bear. Halt and feed your horse a carrot. Do NOT let your horse help himself to carrots! Acknowledge judge and trot to exit gate.

2 Class (s): 2-Liberty Arena: Main Arena When it is your turn to compete, wait outside the gate. Acknowledge judge, then begin course. You will have a total of 10 minutes to complete the course. Time will begin when you acknowledge the judge. Complete as many obstacles as you can, you will be scored only on completed obstacles. Judge will let you know when you have one minute remaining. 1. Enter arena with halter/leadrope on horse. Remove halter/leadrope after you have closed the gate. 2. Walk to punching bag. Pick up whacker and whack punching bag so it tips to ground. 3. Proceed to side pass L. Side pass with railroad tie under horse's belly, do a turn on the forehand at the corner of the L and then continue to side pass off the railroad tie. 4. Pick up tomahawk from wishing well. Trot to barrel, and throw tomahawk into the barrel at a trot. 5. Continue trotting to and over carpet, head for cone alley. 6. Come down to a walk, halt, turn around, and back your horse through cone alley. 7. Proceed to bridge. Stand at the cone. Send your horse so that the horse crosses the bridge at a walk completing a full circle. Pick up a trot and trot to figure Complete a figure 8 at a trot starting to the left. 3 Class (s): 3-Leadline Arena: Main Arena When it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge, then begin course. 1. Leader will hand rider the whacker. Whack punching bag. 2. Walk over railroad tie, turn left and step over 2 nd railroad tie. 3. Walk to cones and halt for 5 seconds. Make a circle around the cone to the right. Circle can be completed at a walk or trot, whichever the rider is comfortable with. 4. Walk through the cowboy curtain. (If there is a chance your horse will spook at this obstacle, please skip it.) 5. Walk over bridge. 6. Walk to and through cone alley. 7. Walk or trot to the judge, halt and answer questions from the judge. When judge says you are finished, leave the arena

Course to begin, unmounted. Let yourself and your horse into the arena. 1. Walk to punching bag. Pick up whacker and whack punching bag so it tips to ground. 2. Line up horse with railroad tie and use railroad tie to mount horse. 3. Sidepass with railroad tie under horse's belly, do a turn on the forehand at the corner of the L and then continue to sidepass off the railroad tie. 4. Trot to wishing well. Pick up tomahawk from wishing well. Trot to barrel, and throw tomahawk into the barrel at a trot. 5. Continue trotting to carpet, stop on carpet and do a 90 degree turn on the forehand so you are facing cone alley. Trot off carpet and head for cone alley. 6. Come down to a walk and back your horse through cone alley. 7. Proceed to bridge. Walk onto bridge and halt on pedestal for 5 seconds. Walk off of pedestal and bridge. Pick up a trot and trot to gate. 8. Complete obstacle with a right hand push. Trot to figure Complete a figure of 8 at a canter, starting to the left. Do a simple lead change and complete circle to the right. Halt horse at the end of the right hand revolution for 5 seconds. Trot to next obstacle. 10. Trot through noodle push and the cowboy curtain. 11. Halt and have your horse back through the curtain. 12. Proceed to teddy bear. Halt and feed your horse a carrot. Do NOT let your horse help himself to carrots! Acknowledge judge and trot to exit gate.

Mount your horse, from the off side, using the railroad tie. 3. Side pass with railroad tie under horse's belly, do a turn on the forehand at the corner of the L and then continue to side pass off the railroad tie. 4. Pick up tomahawk from wishing well. Lope to barrel, and throw tomahawk into the barrel at a lope. 5. Trot to carpet, stop on carpet and do a full + ¼ turn on the haunches so you are facing cone alley. Trot off carpet and head for cone alley. 6. Come down to a walk, turn around, and back your horse through cone alley. 7. Proceed to bridge. Walk onto bridge and halt on pedestal for 5 seconds. Walk off of pedestal and bridge. Pick up a trot and trot to gate. 8. Complete obstacle with a right hand push. Trot to figure Complete a figure of 8 at a canter, starting to the left. 7 Class: 7 Open Start Time-9am Arena: Warm up area / Outside Course Wait near entry area until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach Stump and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Approach stump and mount horse on left side. 2. Trot to water box. Enter water box and halt in middle for 5 seconds. Walk out of water box. 3. Trot to and through mud puddle. 4. Trot to and through noodle push, halt and back through noodle push. 5. Trot to trot spokes. Trot one revolution around trot spokes. 6. Trot to and over street sweeper. 7. Trot to barrel with bow and arrows. Nock and arrow and shoot dummy (from a stand still). Wait for cross country judge to acknowledge you. 8. Trot into and through the water complex. Turn left. 9. Trot to the log. Sidepass over log to the left. 10. Pick up a right lead and canter to, up and across the bank. 11. Stop in the box, turn and face the bank. Wait until bike rides past. 12. Trot to the balance beam and walk down the length of the beam. 13. Walk to the livestock pen and walk one full revolution around the pen, staying inside cones. Acknowledge judge, and leave the field.

8 Class: 8 Jackpot Arena: Warm up area / Outside Course Wait unmounted, near entry area until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach first obstacle and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Approach the water box. Have horse stand with all 4 feet in the box. Mount horse on right side. 2. Walk out of water box. Pick up a right lead, canter into mud puddle and halt 5 seconds. 3. Pick up a left lead and canter to and over street sweeper. 4. Come down to a trot and trot to gate obstacle. Complete gate obstacle with a left hand push. 5. Trot to the Trot spokes obstacle and complete one full revolution to the left. 6. Trot to the bow and arrow. Pick up bow and arrow, walk towards dummy and shoot him from a walk. Return bow to barrel.(extra point awarded to anyone who loudly sings Earl s got die while completing this obstacle) 7. Trot to the tire obstacle. Walk up and over highest tire, going north to south. You will not touch any other tire other than the highest one. Acknowledge warm up area judge and wait on the side for field judge to acknowledge you. 8. Drop your stirrups and canter on a right lead into the water jump, turn right and jump out of the right side of water. Roll back to the right, around the water jump and canter to log jump. 9. Canter the log jump. 10. Come down to a trot and trot up and onto the bank. Halt 5 seconds and pick up stirrups. 11. Trot off bank and into box. Halt with your back to the bank and remain still until after bike has gone by. 12. Trot to the balance beam and walk down the length of the beam. 13. Trot to the livestock pen and trot one full revolution around the pen, staying inside cones. Acknowledge judge and leave field..

9 Class: 9-Team Arena: Warm up area/ Outside Course Wait near tire obstacle until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. Work together as a team. Ride together between obstacles. 1. Begin dismounted, walk to tire obstacle. One rider mount on the left side of tall tire, the other rider mount from the right side of the tall tire. 2. Ride to gate obstacle. One rider open gate, allow 2 nd rider to pass through, then close gate. 3. Trot together to water box. Halt on long side of box, then both riders walk through together. Turn left. 4. Both riders walk through mud puddle together. Trot to suspension bridge. Walk over width wise both riders at the same time. 5. Trot together to street sweeper. One rider walk over, the other rider trot over. 6. Trot to bow and arrow. One rider shoot dummy while walking. Replace bow. 7. Trot to noodle push, and both riders trot through, single file. Acknowledge the arena judge and leave the arena for the 2 nd half of the course. Halt outside of warm up area, make sure prior team has cleared the course. Acknowledge field judge. 8. Trot together to and through the water. 9. Make a sharp left turn and trot up and over the bank from north to south. 10. Enter box and halt. One rider facing north, one facing south. Stand until bike has ridden past. 11. Both riders trot to the livestock pen and walk on complete circle around the pen, staying inside cones. 12. Go to where the judge is, and face your team mate with your horses nose to nose. 1 st rider do a pivot on the forehand until you are stirrup to stirrup with your partner. 2 nd rider execute a pivot on the forehand until your horses are nose to nose again. Acknowledge judge, and leave the field.

10 Class(s) 10- Adult Amateur Arena: Warm Up Area Wait near tire obstacle until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach tire obstacle and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Standing at the large center tire, mount horse from the right side. 2. Walk to the gate obstacle, and complete obstacle with a left hand push. 3. Trot to water box. Enter water box, halt for 5 seconds and exit. 4. Trot to and through mud puddle. 5. Continue trotting to suspension bridge. Walk ½ way over bridge, halt and back off. 6. Walk to and through noodle push. 7. Trot to trot spokes and complete one full revolution to the left. 8. Continue trotting to and over street sweeper. 9. Trot to barrel with bow and arrow. Dismount, and shoot dummy while holding horse. Replace bow and walk to stump. 10. Mount horse from stump on left side. Proceed to tire obstacle. 11. Walk up tire obstacle, halting on top tire. Make a ½ turn to the right, and step down. Acknowledge judge.

11 Class(s) 11 -Rusty Spur Arena: Warm Up Area Wait near tire obstacle until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach tire obstacle and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Standing at the large center tire, mount horse from the right side. 2. Walk to the gate obstacle, and complete obstacle with a left hand push. 3. Trot to water box. Enter water box, halt for 5 seconds and exit. 4. Trot to and through mud puddle. 5. Continue trotting to suspension bridge. Walk ½ way over bridge, halt and back off. 6. Walk to and through noodle push. 7. Trot to trot spokes and complete one full revolution to the left. 8. Continue trotting to and over street sweeper. 9. Trot to barrel with bow and arrow. Dismount, and shoot dummy while holding horse. Replace bow and walk to stump. 10. Mount horse from stump on left side. Proceed to tire obstacle. 11. Walk up tire obstacle, halting on top tire. Make a ½ turn to the right, and step down. Acknowledge judge. 12 Class: 12 Green Horse Arena: Western Events Arena Wait near until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach gate and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Open gate, enter arena, close gate. 2. Pick up rope to hay sled and drag sled at a walk one full circle around Bony Pony, replace rope. 3. Walk onto bridge. Halt in center for 5 seconds. Back off. 4. Walk to pinwheel barrels. Pick up board, walk around barrels, keeping end of board in contact with 2 nd barrel at all times. After you have completed one full revolution, return board to barrel. 4. Walk to poles in center of arena. Halt between poles. Trot a figure 8 starting to the left. Halt between poles. Pick up a trot and trot to RR tie L 5. Side pass with railroad tie under horse's belly, do a turn on the forehand at the corner of the L and then continue to side pass off the railroad tie. 6. Trot to the roping steer. Pick up rope. Twirl rope at least three times overhead, and rope steer. Recoil rope and return it to the starting position. 7. Trot to barrel with rain slicker. Pick up slicker and drape over horse s neck in front of saddle. Wait 5 seconds, replace slicker on barrel. 8. Trot to cowboy curtain. Walk through curtain. 9. Proceed to wishing well. Pick up a tomahawk from well. Pick up a trot and throw tomahawk into barrel at a trot. 10. Approach judge. When you are about 20 feet from judge, halt and dismount. Walk 10 step away from your horse while he stays stationary. Halt and wait 5 seconds. Return to your horse, acknowledge judge, and exit arena.

13 Class: 13 Novice Arena: Western Events Arena Wait near until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach gate and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Open gate, enter arena, close gate. 2. Pick up rope to hay sled and drag sled at a trot one full circle around Bony Pony, replace rope. 3. Walk onto bridge. Halt in center for 5 seconds. Back off. 4. Walk to pinwheel barrels. Acknowledge judge, and exit arena.
