Besides running he also enjoys cycling and going on treks. He aims to do his first triathlon in the near future. He has run the Goa Half Marathon several times in the past with a course personal record of 1:48. He has also participated in Thane Varsha half marathon and Vasai Virar half marathon finishing bothraces under 1 hour 50 minutes. Half Marathons: 15+ Be active to stay fit.

2 2:00 hours Amit Bhattacharjee / I run for the simple reason to keep myself fit. My biggest motivation is to run with fellow runners and to encourage them to challenge themselves. Ultra Runs: 2 Full Marathons: 4 Half Marathons: 7 I have done 7 HF Marathon events and my best timing is 1 Hr 42 Min at ADHM. Last year was a Pacer for 2 Hours in BSafal Half Marathon held at Ahmedabad. I have done 4 F Marathon events and my best timing is 3 Hrs 52 Min at SCMM. This was my first Barefoot Event too. Have successfully completed 100KM ultra run at Bangalore. Have also done quite a few ultra runs including SP Ring Road (76Km) in Ahmedabad. Recently have also run Half Marathon everyday for 21 continuous days. If you want to test your endurance limit, this is one sport which can help you achieve it by just being consistent. The goals may be to run long, like in the last few years when I was seriously into ultra-running, or running fast and improving my finish times, which I have been focussing on for the last one year. This year's goal is to crack 1:45 at the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon in November. PB for half: 1:51:19 (ADHM 2014) Ultra Runs: 7 Full Marathons: 16 Half Marathons: 14 The key to good performance is focussed training. Identify a goal which is reasonable, and identify a training plan (several popular ones available online) which can help you reach that goal. Running everyday at exactly the same pace, and the same distance, day after day, is not the best approach to improving your performance. Variation in distance and pace is the key!

3 2:15 hours Satish Gujaran / Running definitely brings happiness in your life. You also get used to discipline, planning your schedule and training intelligently to achieve your target. The day you run the race you will realise what happiness and perseverance is when you are fighting your body and mind, and pushing each muscle in your body to reach that finish line. You will learn not to give up and this will become a habit not only while running but in your life too. Each and every runner is my motivation. Running is Healthy but Are you healthy enough to run? Do your medicals minimum yearly once. Listen to your body, Compete with yourself, don t compete with others. You can t become a good runner overnight, you have to build it up gradually for some it might take years of quality training. Do regular strengthening, concentrate on running posture and various other exercises which will eventually make you an injury free and strong runner. My message to all is that it is such a beautiful sport that if you do it as per norms i.e. proper sleep, proper hydration, stretching before start, cool down after completion, once a week complete body massage, direct icing daily twice a day & only think about running one would be able to run easily & injury free. Have RUN more than 6300 km in 300 workouts thus average of 21 km per workout.

He has paced in many events in the past 4 years including satara hill half marathon ( 2:45 pacer ), hiranadnai estate half marathon couple of times ( 2:30 pacer ), several 10 km qualifiers as a 70 mins pacer. He also finished running the 12hr run at Mumbai this August.
