An elegant crack in contemporary Italian design and a gem of traditional boatbuilder's craftmanship. Like all Solaris sailing yachts, the Solaris 42 is an extremely rigid unit. The 40 mm composite main bulkhead, a solid structure of individual beams and stringers vacuum laminated to the hull, and composite chainplates are just some of the technical features that make the Solaris 42 a stiff, monolithic construction. Efficient appendixes, a powerful rig and a modern, almost wedge-shaped hull with slim forward section and wide stern with chines provide performance and fun on the water. Beyond the high yard standards, this Solaris 42 has been equipped with everything that makes a sailing yacht fast and powerful. The hull and deck are built using vinylester resins, the rudder blade and shaft are made in carbon fibre and the ship is rigged with a HALL-Spars carbon fibre mast. The exclusive MILLENIUM sail inventory includes both gennaker and code-0 as well as a symmetric spinnaker. For downwind sails there is a fixed carbon fiber bowsprit as well as a carbon fiber spinnaker pole. Young, wellkept and continuously technically maintained firsthand owner's yacht. 2
