2 Thank you for purchasing our electric valve pressure regulator. We hope that you will derive maximum benefit from the increased possibilities that this regulator provides your valve. This regulator can be installed in any AQUANET electric valve with a diameter of 1.5" - 2.0". The unit consists of 4 parts: 1. Pressure Adjustor - used to set the desired pressure. The letter B appears on the threaded side of the Pressure Adjustor (see illustration). 2. Pressure Adjustor Cap - used both as a cover and as a key for mounting and disassembling. 3. Filter - can be removed from time to time for cleaning. The letter A appears on the filter as well as the phrase "Open for Cleaning" (see illustration). 4. Filter Key - used to secure and disassemble the filter. Safeguard this key by fastening it with a cord to the regulator. All the components of this system are fitted with rubber sealing rings. 3 2. Installing the filter Remove the plug from the side of the faucet unit indicated by the letter A (see illustration). Mount the filter in its place. Use the Filter Key to secure in place. There is no need to use Teflon or any other sealing material. The filter is fitted with sealing rings. Filter Filter Key A

4 3. Installing the Pressure Adjustor Remove the plug from the other side of the faucet unit - indicated by the letter B (see illustration) - and mount the Pressure Adjustor in its place. Pressure Adjustor Use the Pressure Adjustor Cap to secure in place. There is no need to use Teflon or any other sealing material. The Pressure Adjustor is fitted with sealing rings. 5 4. Setting the Pressure Adjustor The unit contains a dial that is split into 2 parts: Part A 0-4 BAR Part B 0-50 PSI Attention: On the dial appears an arrow. Left: Move the dial counter clock-wise - indicated by a minus (-) - to decrease pressure. Right: Move the dial clock-wise to increase pressure. Setting the required pressure Example: Set the pressure at 2 BAR. The indicator on the opposite side of the dial will show 30 PSI. Attention During transmission the indicator moves slowly along a small scale to ensure maximum precision. After setting the Pressure Adjustor, open the water. Ensure that the choke handle is open and that the valve is in an open position. You can carry out these actions, either, by invoking a command from the irrigation computer, or, by BAR PSI moving the selection button manually to the OPEN position. In order to set the precise pressure, install a pressure meter in the lower part of the valve. Gently adjust the pressure regulator dial to the desired pressure, plus (+) or minus (-). Very Important After adjusting the pressure, fix the Pressure Adjustor Cap in place by pressing it until you hear a click. This will protect the Pressure Adjustor against dirt and foreign bodies. Comments 1. Do not force the Pressure Adjustor dial beyond the "Stop" indicator (0, 4.5). 2. If you wish to remove the Pressure Adjustor from its position in the valve, first turn the selection button counter clock-wise to 0.

6 5. Operation and Maintenance Very Important The filter in the system should be cleaned periodically (depending on the quality of the water). Ensure that the valve is closed before removing the filter. Open and close by using the special key provided. The filter can be cleaned when the gate-valve is under pressure. This is achived by using the water gushing from the open spot from which the filter was removed (see illustration below). Rinse this part. Tecnical data: 1.Pressure regulation range: BARS 2. Minimum flow range in the valve: 1-3 m3/h 3. The inlet pressure must be BARS higher than the regulator pressure. 4. The delay between activation and full adjustment is approx. 5 sec. If the pressure is less than 1.0 atmospheres, the delay may take up to 2 minutes.
