For short term use: protection mask with filter - combination filter - type AX-P3 (for gases and vapours of organic compounds, boiling point below 65 C / particles, colour code: brown / white) Use tightly fitting safety glasses (EN 166) Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374) made from neoprene rubber - special laminates - Appropriate gloves are available e.g. from Mapa-Professionel (F Neuilly sur Seine - France): STANZOIL - CHEM-PLY - Because it is a complex mixture of polar and unpolar solvents all mentioned materials for gloves have medium to short permeation time for specific components (i.e. permeation index 2 to 4 according to 30 to 120 minutes). Most suitable are gloves made from laminates with multi layers. The permeation time (max. usage time) of the gloves depends on material and thickness as well as temperature. The data are available from the manaufacturer of the specific gloves (e.g. in the internet Disposable gloves are suitable as protection against spray or splashes, only. Provide adequate ventilation. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. If these are not sufficient to maintain concentrations of particulates and solvent vapour below the OEL (=Occupational Exposure Limit), suitable respiratory protection must be worn. 9.
