10 operating mode disassembling the roof Detach the earthing metal foil from the first 3 roof plates, then disassemble them. connection with 1 single --- pole dry --- type cable per phase with or without busbar feeder Fit the washer on the spacer. position the spacer on the stud or on the bar(s). switch / disconnector cubicle GAM cubicles A : without busbar feeder B : with 1 right and left busbar feeder C : with 2 right and left busbar feeders A B C EN revision : 01 9

11 D Position the deflector on the spacer. Fit the cable connection angle bracket (D) inside the deflector. L1 L2 L3 Position the 3 deflectors as per the axes then lock using the M8 nuts. Tightening torque: 28 Nm. To fix the cable lug, remove the M12 nut and the 12 washer on the connection angle bracket. Insert the spring as far as it will go in the insulator---capacitor before connecting the cable(s). Slide in the cable bushing. Preform the cable and position its lug according to the connection angle bracket. Connect the cable to phase 1 and lock the screw in place. Tightening torque: 50 Nm. Flange the cable to the roof. important: Reclose the flaps of the distribution blocks for each phase EN revision : 01

12 Fit the 2 nd roof plate and repeat the operations for phases 2 and 3. connection with 2 single --- pole dry --- type cables per phase theapproachisthesameasin the above section, except for installation of the double cable connection pad Flange the cables to the roof. important : reclose the flaps of the distribution blocks for each phase. Slide in the cable bushings. Preform the cables and position the lugs according to the connection pad. Connect the cables to phase 1 and lock the screw in place. 14 maintenance instruction preventive maintenance, cleaning instructions and power --- up If necessary: contact the Schneider Electric group service centre. We strongly recommend that you carry out at regular intervals (at least roughly every 2 years) afew operating cycles on the switching devices. CAUTION Never lubricate the disconnector operating mechanism. If necessary: contact the Schneider Electric group service centre. In normal operating conditions (temperature between C and40 C) no special maintenance is required. CAUTION Never use solvents and alcohol. We recommend that you inspect each compartment (cable, fuse, busbar)* at regular intervals according to environmental conditions. If the insulating parts are dusty, that you remove the dust using a dry cloth. example : In harsher conditions (aggressive atmosphere, dust, temperature less than C or greater than 40 C) consult the nearest Schneider Electric service centre EN revision : 01 13

15 recovery of SF6 gas at end of life for disconnector cubicle The SF6 must be removed before any dismantling operation can be carried out in compliance with the procedures described in IEC and according to the following instructions. The gas must be treated in compliance with IEC H volume of gas to be recovered: 35 litres H internal gauge pressure: 40 kp A NB : SF6 gas recycling at the end of circuit-- breaker life, refer to its instruction for use. Remove the cover (A) from the control cabinet. control cover access B Remove the control cover (B). Remove the 3 screws retaining the operating mechanism. Cut the wiring to remove the operating mechanism. Drill 2 holes in the filler valve safety cap 4 mm, centreline 20 mm, max. depth 4 mm EN revision : 01

16 CAUTION pump the gas for at least 15 minutes. C Using a spanner wrench, remove the safety cap from the valve. Connect the special pumping equipment (C) EN revision : 01 15
