2 Effects from Exposure: INGESTION: This product is not expected to be toxic by ingestion, however, proper precautions should be observed. SKIN CONTACT: May cause allergic skin reaction. Repeated contact may cause skin sensitization with symptoms of reddening, swelling, and rash. INHALATION: May cause mechanical irritation to the respiratory tract. EYE CONTACT: May irritate eyes. MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED: Preexisting skin disorders. Skin conditions. CHRONIC EFFECTS/CARCINOGENICITY: This product is not considered a carcinogen by IARC, NTP, or OSHA. PRODUCTS/INGREDIENTS: Although no exposure limit has been established for this product, the OSHA-PEL for nuisance dust of 15 mg/m³-total dust, 5 mg/m³-respirable dust is recommended. In addition, the ACGIH-TLV for Nuisance dust of 10 mg/m³ is recommended. PRINCIPLE ROUTES OF EXPOSURE: Eyes, Inhalation, Skin, OTHER: Dust hazard. 4. FIRST AID MEASURES INGESTION: If swallowed, contact a physician immediately. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to by authorized medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. SKIN: Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse. Wash affected areas with soap and water. Consult a physician. INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, get immediate medical attention. EYES: Flush eyes thoroughly for 20 minutes with water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Treatment based on sound judgment of physician and individual reactions of patient. 5. 3 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES SENSITIVITY TO STATIC DISCHARGE: Sensitivity to static discharge is possible. EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Water, Foam, Dry chemical, SPECIAL FIREFIGHTING PROCEDURES: Fire-fighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing when fighting chemical fires. Fight fire from remote location or behind protective barrier if possible. Use water spray to cool fire exposed surfaces. Decomposition in fire may produce toxic gases. Flammable when in a finely divided and highly suspended state. Do not allow runoff to enter waterways. Toxic emissions are possible in a fire situation. Fire produces highly toxic sulfur dioxide gas. May form explosive dust-air mixture. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ACTION TO BE TAKEN IF MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: Wear protective clothing and equipment. Avoid creating dusts. Stop spill at source. Remove ignition sources and work with non-sparking tools. Sweep, vacuum, or shovel spilled material into a container marked for disposal. Do NOT spread spilled product with water. Prevent from entering sewers or waterways. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORAGE: HANDLING: Avoid generating or breathing dust. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Use only with adequate ventilation. May form flammable dust/air mixtures. Bond and ground containers when transferring material. Good hygienic practices should be observed. Work clothes should be washed seperately at the end of each work day. Reclose containers of unused product. Wash thoroughly after handling or at the end of the shift. STORAGE: Store closed containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Do not double stack. Store at ambient temperature or less than 140 F (60 C). 8.
