2 Section 4 First Aid Measures Emergency/First Aid Procedures Skin: Wash with mild soap and running water. Use a washcloth to help remove fibers. Do not rub or scratch irritated areas. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Eye: Inhalation: Ingestion: In case of contact immediately wash eyes with large amounts of water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists seek medical attention. In case of overexposure immediately move person from contaminated area to fresh air. Get medical attention if necessary. Seek medical attention, if gastrointestinal irritation persists or other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or diarrhea develop. 3 Notification Information: There are no specific reporting requirements for release of this material as supplied under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) (40 CFR 302) or the Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act (SARA) (40 CFR 355). There may be specific reporting requirements for the release of this material at the local, regional or state level. Section 7 Handling and Storage Handling and Storage Procedures Store in a clean, dry place. Keep containers closed. Section 8 Exposure Controls/Personal Protection Engineering Controls/Work Practices Ventilation: Control airborne concentrations below the exposure guidelines specified by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or other local, state and federal regulations. Personal Protective Equipment/Protective Measures Respiratory Protection: Respiratory protection is not normally necessary. Respiratory protection may be needed when handling used material in non-routine or emergency situations. If exposure limits may possibly exceed the TLV or respiratory irritation is experienced, NIOSH/MSHA approved respiratory protection should be worn. An industrial hygienist or other qualified professional should be consulted during the respiratory selection process to assure that the respiratory protection used is appropriate under the conditions of use. A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA s 29 CFR requirements must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator s use.
