7 3. Layot and fnction ATEX Name Plate Peristaltic hose pmp, Verderflex VF, is simple by design in its constrction and operation. The medim to be pmped does not come into contact with any moving parts and is totally contained within a robst, heavy-dty hose, which sally consists of an inner layer, two six reinforcement layers and an oter layer. A rotor passes along the length of the hose, compressing it. This motion forces the contents of the hose directly in front of the rotor to move forward along the length of the hose in a positive displacement, peristaltic movement. In the wake of the rotor s compressing action, the natral elasticity of the polymer reinforced rbber forces the hose to open and regain its rond profile, creating sction pressre, which recharges the pmp. 3.1 Labelling Name Plate Pmp Serial No. VF Crrent non mining classification Crrent VF level of protection Year of manfactre.
