We also can offer shorter 3 or 4 night charters, for those who don t have the time for longer cruises of as a pre or post add-on to a safari or add-on to an island beach resort holiday There is no maximum charter length, provided that a charter does not clash with a pre-existing booking. 4 The Quirimbas Archipelago consists of over 32 islands, stretching north to south along the coastline of Northern Mozambique. There are five islands that have island lodges and resorts on them and they are Ibo, Quilalea, Matemo, Medjumbe and Vamizi Island. The other 27 islands remaining largely unexplored and uninhabited! The islands stretch some 110 miles along one of the most unexplored stretches of coastline in the world. The Quirimbas Archipelago is without doubt one of the best diving, fishing and island hopping destinations in the world. Most islands are uninhabited and all are blessed with white sandy beaches surrounded by a tropical Indian Ocean and a marine environment that has remained virtually untouched. The whole mainland coastline also remains completely unexplored, along with its many coves, beaches and coral reef. Virtually unknown to the outside world, the indigenous people who inhabit the islands have quietly gone about their daily business. Local fishermen build Arab style dhows hand-hewn from trees. They navigate hundreds of kilometres of winding channels and man-grove lagoons casting their nets and lines much as they have done for the last 1000 years. It is the undiscovered nature of these islands that make it so special. This is a place in the world where there are no cars, no roads, few hotels and therefore few tourists. 6 SAFTEY Our Lagoon 52 s are PADI certified dive boats and operates to ISO standards. Our Lagoon 52 yachts are British-registered vessels that require each yacht to comply with the United Kingdom s Maritime and Coastguard Agency and carry detailed safety and emergency equipment. On board each yacht is a full complement of electronic safety equipment including radar, emergency satellite beacons and satellite communications. Our crews are all highly professional yachts men and woman with all the right qualifications, knowledge and experience for chartering in East Africa CREW All our charter crews all hold Professional sailing qualifications! ON-BOARD ACTIVITIES Our Lagoon 52 yachts are fully kitted to offer a whole range of activities. They are PADI certified Dive Centres offering scuba diving under the watchful eye of professional dive instructors and dive masters. OUTSIDE DECK AND MAIN SALOON AREA As you can see in the photos and video there is a huge amount of seating and relaxing areas for guests. The large rear cockpit boasts a U shaped lounge area and ample seating space around the outside table for all guests as well as a Lazy boy double sun lounger area. In the fore deck are further lounger/sunbathing areas as well as further huge deck space up on the fly-bridge for guests to enjoy. So even with 8 guests and either 2, 3 or 4 crew on-board there will still be plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The main saloon encompasses the large lounge and large dining table to starboard, a large fully fitted galley which has direct access to the outside cockpit. Inside the main saloon is a large retractable LCD TV with DVD as well a music system.

We encourage all serious divers to bring their own wet suits and diving gear where possible as we prefer to keep the full sets of dive gear we have on board for back-up in case of problems with our guests own dive gear. Guests can also rent dive gear in the Quirimbas Archipelago if needed or they can use the gear on board! 9 Each yacht include custom modifications that enclose diving systems and equipment to maintain the Lagoon 52 s clean lines, while providing ample preparation areas for divers and ease of water entry/exit. A hydraulic lift platform recovers divers from just below the water surface to a position flush with the deck and makes for a more comfortable recovery. We encourage our serious diving guests to bring their own familiar diving equipment (we provide air, weights and dive cylinders), but those who prefer to travel light or don t have your own dive gear, you will find the latest diving equipment on-board to use free of charge! Each yacht has complete sets of cylinders and weight belts plus diving gear such as Scubapro Equator BCD s, Scubapro MK17 regulators with S600 second stages, Scubapro R195 Octopus and Oceanic Navcons. A selection of Mares masks, fins and snorkels are also available for our guests to use DIVER SAFETY All LAGOON 52 diving yachts are equipped with a variety of electronic diver rescue and locating systems. All LAGOON 52 diving yachts include Smartfind S10 AiS GPS beacons and usage is mandatory for all dives. For more advanced diving in locations such as St. Lazarus Banks in Mozambique divers are also provided with satellite-based Personal Location Beacons. Additional safety equipment includes an automatic external defibrillator and on-board oxygen. Serious incidents are comanaged through DAN s South Africa office with access to chambers in Zanzibar, Durban or Johannesburg. DIVE COMPUTERS Suunto Zoop dive computers are built into all consoles, but guests are welcome to bring their own. NITROX DIVING For fans of Nitrox, a NUVAIR Nitrox membrane compressor produces consistent 32% O2. Nitrox is provided at no additional cost to certified Nitrox divers. MARITIME AND DIVING CERTIFICATIONS Our Lagoon 52 s are certified as PADI dive boats and operates to ISO standards. Our Lagoon 52 yachts are British-registered vessels that require each yacht to comply with the United Kingdom s Maritime and Coastguard Agency and carry de-tailed safety and emergency equipment. On board each yacht is a full complement of electronic safety equipment including ra-dar, emergency satellite beacons and satellite communications. SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Without a pristine marine environment we can t offer you extraordinary diving experiences and so on board our Lagoon 52 s we follow a number of sustainable and environmental policies and procedures to protect our treasured diving locations. As a mem-ber of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council every Lagoon 52 includes a water maker and water purification system that enables us to dispense with the use of plastic water bottles. In addition our Lagoon 52 s are the only vessels in their class anywhere in the world to include a sewage treatment system that processes sewage to Lloyds Register standard, versus most boats that discharge raw sewage into the sea.

11 The following is a guide line itinerary to give you an idea of what to expect, on either a PRIVATE CHARTER OR A CABIN CRUISE, however it is not set in stone, as it will be dependent on weather conditions at the time and of course on the wishes and activity interests of our guests and on safety considerations! This itinerary assumes a Pre Night at Ibo Island Lodge, which we highly recommend! Pre - Day Ibo Island Lodge Day 1 Ibo to Matemo Guests board in the morning after breakfast at Ibo Island Lodge. There will be an on-board yacht and safety orientation, before we set sail and head north to the islands of Matemo and Rolas. It is 8 NM to the protected northern end of Matemo. islands we will throw out some fishing lines and see if we can catch dinner! We then continue to Matemo Island aiming to arrive around lunch time. On arrival at the island we will find a suitable and sheltered mooring spot. We will spend the rest of the day, scuba diving, fishing, snorkelling, kayaking and various other water sports and exploring the islands. Cruising time: 8 NM Ibo to Matemo approx. 2 to 3 hours during the day Overnight: Matemo or Rolas Island Depending on the conditions we will stop enroute at the sandbank beach between Ibo Island and Matemo and snorkel. There is also a wreck there that can be dived and snorkelled. During the cruise to the

12 Day 2 Mogundula Today we will spend the morning around Matemo and then head north for about 3 NM to Rolas Island, with further dives and activities before we continue in the afternoon for our next destination of Mogundula Private Island. It is 6 NM to from Rolas to Mogundula which if the weather conditions are right should only take a couple hours so we aim to be at Mogundula around midday. Mogundula is a small uninhabited island surrounded by fringing reefs. In its interior is a lake with a huge variety of bird life and a beach where nesting turtles can be found On the leeward side of the island is a sheltered lagoon and one of the best beaches in the archipelago. From here we will dive, fish, snorkel and enjoy a range of activities, explore the island and in the evening we can light a fire on the beach and enjoy sun downers and a traditional African beach braai (bbq) as the sunsets. Cruising time: 9 NM Matemo to Mogundula approx. 2 to 3 hours during the day. Overnight: Mogundula Island. Day 3 Medjumbe Island Our next destination is Medjumbe Island which is 14 NM north approx., a 2-3 hour sail. We will aim to depart in the morning at breakfast and head north via the beautiful bay and beaches of Pangane. From here we will dive, fish, snorkel and enjoy a range of activities. From here it is a straight forward blue water sail to Medjumbe Island so we will set out some fishing lines and see if we can catch dinner or sushi, while guests relax, read and suntan! We aim to arrive at Medjumbe, a small tropical desert island around lunch time and here you will be able to dive, fish and explore. On the island is a luxury resort so those who wish can go ashore and enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar or enjoy some other activities available at the island. Cruising time: 14 NM Mogundula to Medjumbe Island approx. 3 to 4 hours during the day. Overnight: Medjumbe Island. Depart around 2 am for Metundo - 40 NM. We aim to depart around 2 am from Medjumbe and head to Metundo Island. It is approx. a 6-7 hour sail to Metundo Island. We aim to arrive there at 8 am.

13 Day 4 Metundo Island. We aim to arrive at Metundo at 7 am. Metundo along with Vamizi offers some of the best diving and marine life in the Quirimbas Archipelago. We will spend the day exploring, diving, fishing and relaxing around Metundo Island. Cruising time: Day spent around Metundo Island Overnight: Metundo and Quifuqu Islands Day 5 Metundo and Vamizi Island Spend the morning doing further diving, fishing and exploring. It is 9 NM, about a 2 hour sail to Vamizi Island and we will aim to be there after lunch. We will spend the rest of the day exploring, diving, and fishing. There is also a lodge on Vamizi Island, so guests can go ashore and enjoy some shore based activities if they wish. Cruising time: 9 NM Metundo to Vamizi Island approx. 2 hours. Overnight: Vamizi Island Cruising time: 60 NM Vamizi to Macaloe approx. Full Overnight. Overnight: Cruise to Macaloe Island Day 7 Macaloe and Rolas Island We aim to arrive at Macaloe in the morning today and enjoy another day exploring, diving, fishing and relaxing around the Island. We will depart Macaloe Island in the afternoon and set sail for Rolas Island arriving before sunset. It is approx. a 2 hour sail to Rolas Island. Your last night on board will be at Rolas Island. Cruise time: 10 NM Macaloe to Rolas Island approx. 2 hours Overnight: Rolas Island Day 8 10 NM Rolas to Ibo Island Early in the morning before breakfast we will set sail for the last 10 NM to Ibo. Enjoy your last breakfast enroute to Ibo Island. We aim to be at Ibo by 9 am in time for light aircraft flights back to Pemba. Cruise time: 8 NM Medjumbe to Matemo Island approx. 2 hours End of cruise Day 6 Vamizi Island Explore the islets and reef system around Vamizi Island for the whole day. We will set sail this evening after dinner heading south to Macaloe Island. It is approx. an 8 hour sail overnight.

15 Day 3 14 NM Mogundula to Medjumbe Island Our next destination is Macaloe Island which is 4 NM north approx., a 1-2 hour sail. We will aim to depart in the morning before breakfast and head north via the beautiful bay and beaches of Pangane. From here we will dive, fish, snorkel and enjoy a range of activities and explore the island of Macaloe. Medjumbe Island which is approx. 10 NM further north is our next island destination and this will take approx.2-3 hours depending on weather conditions. It is straight forward blue water sail to Medjumbe Island so we will set out some fishing lines and see if we can catch dinner or sushi, while guests relax, read, suntan! We aim to arrive at Medjumbe, a small tropical desert island around lunch time and here you will be able to dive, fish and explore. On the island is a luxury resort so those who wish can go ashore and enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar or enjoy some other activities available at the island. Overnight: Medjumbe Island Day 4 50 NM Medjumbe Island to St Lazarus Banks We will spend the day exploring, diving, fishing and relaxing around Medjumbe and its smaller sister island Dejumbe! In the evening after dinner we will set sail for St Lazarus Banks. Overnight: Cruise to St Lazarus Banks Day 5 St Lazarus Banks Our aim is to be at the banks before sunrise on day 5. We will spend the day diving, and fishing on the banks. Overnight: At anchor on St Lazarus Banks Day 6 St Lazarus Banks We will spend the day diving, and fishing on the banks. We will set sail this evening after dinner heading west and returning to Matemo Island. It is approx. an 8 hour sail overnight to Matemo Island. Overnight: Cruise to Matemo Island Day 7 50 NM St Lazarus Banks to Matemo Island We aim to arrive at Matemo early in the morning of today and enjoy another day exploring, diving, fishing and relaxing around Matemo Island. Your last night on board will be at Matemo Island. Overnight: Matemo Island Day 8 8 NM Matemo to Ibo Island Early in the morning before breakfast we will set sail for the last 8NM to Ibo. Enjoy your last breakfast enroute to Ibo Island. We aim to be at Ibo by 9 am in time for light aircraft flights back to Pemba. NB: This Itinerary can be reversed i.e. by heading out to St Laz 1st and then working your way down from Medjumbe back to Ibo but is weather dependant.

16 GETTING TO PEMBA & THE QUIRIMBAS! To access the Quirimbas, guest will need to fly into Pemba Mozambique (not to be confused with the island of Pemba north of Zanzibar) All cruises for the Quirimbas usually start and end at either Ibo Island or Pemba Mozambique. However we can also collect guests from other Island resorts in the Quirimbas. We are very flexible and endeavour to fit in with our guests needs where ever possible! Guests can easily connect to Pemba from South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania. There are daily flights from Johannesburg to Pemba and regular flights from Dar Es Salaam and Nairobi. SAA AIRLINK fly direct from JHB to Pemba return on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Johannesburg to Pemba departs at 11h30 arriving at 14h20 Pemba to Johannesburg departs at 14h55 arriving at 17h50 On arrival at Pemba our guests will be met by our representatives. If the charter is starting in Pemba, we will transfer the guests directly to the yacht moored in Pemba bay! GETTING TO IBO ISLAND On arrival at Pemba our guests will be met by our representatives who will escort them directly to the next light air flight to Ibo Island (25 minute duration) or to which ever island the guests are flying to prior to the charter (Many of our guests include pre or post nights at one of the Quirimbas resorts) There is a standard weight limit of 15kg, but excess luggage can be arranged on the light air flights. On arrival at Ibo Island we will transfer clients between Ibo airstrip and the yacht base at Ibo Island. After a welcome briefing the guests will go aboard the yachts! AIR MOZAMBIQUE (LAM) fly from JHB via Maputo to Pemba return every day! Johannesburg to Pemba via Maputo departs at 08h40 arriving at 13h10 Pemba to Johannesburg via Maputo departs at 13h50 arriving at 18h30

17 GETTING TO PEMBA & THE QUIRIMBAS! Wherever possible we recommend that guests arrive and overnight at Ibo Island the day before the charter or cruise departure. Ibo Island Lodge is ideal as it is also the local yacht base of operations. Arriving the day before the cabin cruise or charter starts allows guests to recover from a long flight and will reduce the risk that a guest misses the yacht s departure in the event of flight delay. If a guest is booked onto a cabin cruise and their flight is delayed and they arrive past the yachts departure, our personnel will make every effort to transfer these delayed guests to the yacht by fast RIB. If the delayed guests are part of a private charter, then the yacht will simply wait for the guests to arrive! If the entire week is cancelled in advance due to a storm's predicted path and landfall as forecasted, guests will automatically receive a voucher for the total amount of their charter holiday. Vouchers allow guests to return to that destination within one year of the interrupted trip. The NSCP is not a substitute for the purchase of a comprehensive holiday cancellation and interruption insurance policy. All guests are strongly encouraged to purchase a suitable policy as it provides financial protections beyond the yacht portion itself and can offer financial assistance for flights, interrupted travel and cancellations for other covered reasons. We ask that agents recommend to their clients that they purchase a suitable diving/holiday cancellation and interruption insurance policy immediately after confirming a reservation so that clients can maximize their coverage window. NSCP vouchers apply to passengers who do not receive compensation from their holiday insurance carrier.
