13 Features of Thermoplastic Fixations Masks Surface Coating The material is treated with our proprietary system to ensure a nonstick finish. During molding, the mask will not adhere to the patient s skin or hair. The coating will last up to two years. Operational and Hardening Time The mask is easily workable for 1-2 minutes after being taken out of warm water, giving the operator enough time to model the mask. The material completely hardens after 5-10 minutes in room temperature. Smooth and Strengthed Edges We pay attention to every detail of our products structure. Smooth and strengthened edges are designed to prevent damage to the patients skin and ensure a firm fixation. Comfort We produce different materials with different retractive rates depending on the location of the mask. Materials used for the head are set at 88-92%, while materials used for the chest and pelvis are set at 90-95%. Using different retractive rates for different parts of the body ensures the patient remains comfortable and the mask has a precise fit. Thickness In order to meet the demands of our customers, we produce thermoplastic fixation masks in four levels of thickness including 1.6, 2.0, 2.4, 3.0mm. The 2.4mm-thick material and the 3.0mm-thick material are most commonly used. Environmental-Friendly Materials Thermoplastic masks are made from bio-degradable materials. they will degrade in a landfill in 16 months. Material Memory Thermoplastic fixation masks have a strong memory feature. They can be used and modeled repeatedly in case of improper fitting. Simply put the mask back into warm water to soften up. The process of softening will make the product retract and return to its original shape. This memory function is a key feature to ensure the product can be remodeled and reshaped. Softening Temperature Thermoplastic fixation masks will completely soften when placed in warm water of 65º C or 149º f. The softened mask becomes transparent, and the material becomes ready to be remodeled on the patient.

Pelvis Mask: Six L-Shaped borders are equipped with pants-shaped thermoplastic sheet. 4. Thermoplastic fixation masks which can be used to immobilize the breasts of a patient. Breast Masks: Two L-Shaped borders are equipped with thermoplastic sheet. 5. Thermoplastic fixation masks which can be used to immobilize a patient s trunk.
