6 M681IDS0003 Petrofac Client Doc JIDTS500 Page of 8 Rev. ALL GENERAL NOTES: 1. Control Valves shall comply with the requirements set out in CP000000JISPE0004, CP000000JISPE0005, and PISPE000.. Vendor to submit size calculation for all tags include: a) vendor shall verify (upfate datasheets as indicated including calculated and rated cv) and be responsible for the sizing and selection of control valves and actuators, and submit all calculations pertaining to for purchaser review and also as part of final documentation. b) vendor is required to submit noise calculations to establish that the sound level meets the requirements at the specified operating and maximum conditions. Maximum permissible noise level shall be 85 at 1 m from valve in all direction. c) whenever more than one case or condition are specified, valve shall be capable of handling all the case/conditions else vendor shall notify purchaser that the valve cannot meet all design conditions. 3. Control valves shall meet design pressure and temperature rating as indicated in valve data sheet. 4. Control Valve trim characteristics shall be chosen to suit the duty. Stellite or hardened trim shall be provided based on the process conditions and piping class, typically where the operating Pressure drop is in excess of 14 bar. 5. For twophase flow the control valve shall be the combination of the of the liquid / phase and of the vapour phase. 6. Control valves shall be sized in accordance ISA S5.01, Flow Equations for Sizing Control Valves. The Supplier shall calculate and record on the data sheet the minimum, normal, and maximum required valve.. Control valves with equal percentage characteristics shall be sized to operate at approximately 5 travel under design flow conditions and less than 90 travel under maximum flow conditions. 8. Control valves with linear characteristics shall be sized to operate at approximately 5 travel under design flow conditions and less than 90 travel under maximum flow conditions. 9 Control valves shall pass the minimum design flow at no less than 0 of valve travel. 10. Care should be taken in selecting the valve trim to avoid cavitating service and flashing services. Control valve sizing calculations shall provide warnings if the service is cavitating. 11. Air casing and diaphragm materials of actuators shall be such that no external lubricant supply is necessary. 1. Aluminium components shall not be used for actuators and ancillary equipment. Actuator case / housing material shall be carbon steel. 13. Actuators shall be painted green for fail open valves and red for fail close valves. 14. It should be possible to change the actuator from fail open to fail close position in the field without the need for any additional or minimum parts. 15. I/P positioner shall be EEx "i" certified suitable for use in a one 1, Gas group IIA, Temperature Class T3. Enclosure shall be IP EN 1004 type 3.1 certification shall be provided for all wetted and pressure retaining components. Unless stated otherwise certificate of conformity to EN 1004, type. shall be assumed for non pressure retaining and non wetted components. 1. Flanges shall be cast or forged integrally with the valve body. Flanges 4" NB and smaller shall conform to ASME B Pneumatic actuators shall be configured such that they will hold open/close against spring Pressure at a minimum supply Pressure of 5.5 barg and maximum shut off pressure of barg. 19. All surface preparation, painting and protective coatings shall be in accordance with PTS P Protective Coating and Lining and PTS The Preservation of Old and New Equipment and Piping Standing Idle. 0. All valves shall be provided with SS316 tag plate, inscribe with material grade, nominal size, rating, heat or casting number, valve tag number, purchase order no., PO item no., stock number/mc number, manufacturer, setpoint, adjustable range, and date of manufacture where applicable engraved or stamped in 6 mm minimum height characters. Nameplate shall be permanently fixed to the valves. 1. Each valve shall be provided with second additional tag, consisting the information of nominal size, rating, tag number, Purchase Order no., PO item no., securely wired to the valve with corrosion resistant wire. The 316SS metal tag shall have a dimension of 50 mm x 0 mm. The metal tag shall not be wired to bolt holes of valve end flanges.. All control valves and associated components shall be designed for a minimum life duration of 0 years. 3. PMI and other NDT testing requirements shall be as per PISPE ISSUED FOR REVIEW NS REV. All control valves accessories like electropneumatic positioner, I/P transducer, filter regulator, etc shall be mounted on the valve actuator and tubed by vendor using Stainless Steel 316L, with a minimum Molybdenum content of.5, seamless and drawn to ASTM A69, in a solution treated annealed condition, maximum hardness shall be Rb80. Minimum tube size shall be 1/4" O.D. x 0.035" W.T. All tube fittings shall be 316 Type SS, ASTM A831, ASTM A6S31608/3 (bar stock condition A) with a minimum Molybdenum content of.5 meeting specification requirements of ASTM A403, A Bolts and nuts material shall be fluorocarbon coated reinforced with ceramic and Aluminum ISSUED FOR REVIEW NS REV.
