This sign represents rules that we strongly encourage users to follow. Warning When the model or the control box becomes hot or begins to smoke, Warning immediately unplug the power cord. This is a major fire hazard. Please contact your local distributor or Kyoto Kagaku Co., LTD for repairs. Please remove any dust that has accumulated on the power plug and insert completely into the power socket. This can lead to a major fire hazard. When unplugging the power cord, please hold by the plug and pull. Unplugging by the cord may lead to damages to the cord itself, fire hazards or electrocution. 4 Caution Please do not apply excessive force or pressure onto the model. Prease prevent applying force onto the model to avoid damages. Please do not forcibly push down on the model. Simulator K is not made for CPR training. If you are moving the Simulator K, carefully lift by the handle. Please do not lift by the body and arm. Please use the model in a quiet environment. The setethoscope is extremely sensitive to sound; please use the model is a quiet environment. Store the manikin in its storage case when not in use. Store the training set at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Storage under the temperature above 50 degrees C may reduce the performance quality of the simulator. Please do not mark the model with a pen or leave printed materials in direct contact with the surface. Ink marks on the model are not removable. Please do not install other softwares. Please do not install other softwares to the computer; it may lead to system malfunctions. The manikin skin may be cleaned with a wet cloth and mildly soapy water or diluted detergent. Please be aware of shutting down your computer. When shutting down your computer, please be sure to unplug the power cord after turning off the computer. Misuse may lead to damages.

5 Before you first use the Simulator K, ensure all components listed below are included in the unit.

8 Cardiology Patient Simulator "K" has two variations of cardiological examination training systems, MODE 1 and MODE 2, MODE 1 36 cases MODE 1 allows for training in all general cardiological examination fields that are listed below. The model precisely simulates a training experience similar to that of a true patient. Auscultation of heartbeat Electrocardiogram Respiration (pulmonary sound, abdominal movement) Arterial palpation Inspection of jagular vein Apex heartbeat palpation MODE 2 observes tthe heartbeat and electrocardiogram of various cases in detail.

13 Confirming the wireless systems Please varify the icon of the wireless connection. *Default is set to wireless. Charactoristics of the wireless and the wired systems Cable is unneccessary Easy to transfer the control PC Based on ambient environment such as other radio waves. Communication status between control PC and K is stable Not as portable depending on the length of the cable Starting up simulation software From Top Menu, please select (tap) K2 simulation or Playlist Maker icon.

14 Softwares Simulator K has two softwares, K2 Simulation and Playlist Maker. Simulator K Simulation Software All funstions of K are managed by this software. Playlist Maker Playlist of cases can be created.to create a playlist, Use the Playlist Maker, where you can set the case and its play time and save the data by name. Record your playlist in the Simulator "K" Simulation Software. In the Playlist Maker, you can search and edit a list of simulation data such as the time.

16 Error-checking system When activating Simulator K, errors are automatically checked with the following screens. When errors are detected, the following screen is displayed. When errors are detected, the following screen is displayed. Please confirm the error-checking results. If they are not Normal, please contact your nearest retailer or KYOTO KAGAKU Co., Ltd. for error results.

17 Start up simulation software Error-checking has been completed, and the software is ready to begin.

19 To begin a synchronized multi-unit operation: Select the simulator units that will be used. They will be numbered from 1 to 5. (Simulator units already selected will be highlighted blue.) To operate multiple simulator units separately: Procedures will differ from that of multiunit operation under the same program. Refer to the directions below.
