4 2009 CENTER SAFETY SYSTEM Profire Bar Directdrive Bar Overview Slingshot introduces 5 th line safety functionality only using 4 lines. In its second year, CSS* (Center Safety System) has spawned a host of imitations. For them, recognizing a good thing when they see it tells us the Slingshot CSS* is making impressions and setting new standards for safety, convenience and kite control. But, don t be fooled. Some will tout an all in one solution. No one has actually deliver on this claim. Slingshot CSS, however, does it all. 5 2009 SURF CONSTRUCTION WVS Surfboard construction New for 09, is a complete revamp of Slingshot s approach to surfboard construction. Developed exclusively for demanding kiteboarding conditions. We are incorporating the magic effect of wood found in our twin tip boards to our surfboards. Our Wood Veneer Sandwich (WVS) brings a new standard of quality to surfboards designed for kiteboarding. The use of wood instead of foam in the sandwich part of our construction dampens the board for better feel, increases durability, and allows us control flex which provides a more intuitive ride. It also allows us build a much more eco friendly surfboard. Weight Building boards light yet strong challenges every manufacture. Our experience with wood lets us meet these demands, while setting new standards in reliability for kitesurfing. Feel Full foam sandwich boards are more buoyant, stiffer and have a very tight crisp feel. These are actually negative attributes when you want your board to really feel the wave. The new surfboard construction for 09 is a little softer, less buoyant, and has flex. The result is more intuitive control. Durability We understand wave boards take on the most abuse out of any board. They are also ridden in the most dynamic day to day conditions. Since wood is denser than foam it is natural for the boards to be more impact resistant. [5]

New for 2009, as part of the Crossover Collection, the SRT has a round tail and quad fins. The bottom of the SRT has a flat entry rocker, increased tail kick and a slight single concave in front. It s a high performance short board designed to compliment Ben s aggressive aerial style. The BW Pro Model has a slightly dome deck with a single concave bottom that zero s out at the tail. This allows riders to control their speed strapped or strapless. The BW Pro Model board is set up specifically with a classic tri fin configuration which allows for precision turns in the pocket.
