8 Mini Bulkhead & TurnWalls Budget Multifunctionality The Anti Wave Mini Bulkhead provides a relatively low-cost way to divide pools to allow multiple activities at the same time. Ideal for clubs. TurnWalls are available in single-lane and double-lane configurations. The TurnWall hangs from the laneropes and provides a simple way to turn a 50 m lane into two 25 m lanes. Page 8

9 BULKHEAD SPECIFICATIONS General Specification Operational Requirements Nominal Dimensions: 21 m x 1.5 m x 1.5 m Depth under Water: 1200 mm General Description The bulkhead is fabricated from FRP with internal bouyancy to permit manual operation using supplied airlines and compressor. Bouyancy is provided by integral tanks. Vertical walls of the bulkhead are supplied with target markings in accordance with Fina regulations. Provision is made for lane ropes to connect to either side of the bulkhead or to pass through the bulkead as occasion requires. Materials Chopped Strand Fibreglass Anti Corrosion 600 Chopped Strand Mat. A Powder bound chopped mat designed for use with orthophthalic and isophthalic unsaturated polyester, bisphenol and vinyl ester resin systems in contact moulding and hand laminating. Balsa Core Balsa core offers high impact and shear strength. The core is Baltek AL mm thick. Aquaguard Gel Coat Aquaguard gelcoats have a specially designed accelerator mix which reduces the potential for porosity in the gelcoat film. Stainless Steel All stainless steel used in the bulkhead and for fittings is 316 marine grade for optimum corrosion resistance. Quality Control Factory procedures are compatible with ISO standards. Uniaxial Woven Rovings Woven rovings are used for tensile and impact strength Triaxial Rovings Triaxial rovings provide for high strengths and stiffness Unidirectional Rovings Unidirectional rovings are used where shear strength is required Vinyl Ester and Isophthalic Resins Vinyl ester resins provide for effective chemical barriers within the structure and Isophthalic resins in internal laminates for their greater structural strength.
