3 SENIOR System description SENIOR is designed to cover pools of any shape and size. In case of small, multishaped pool surfaces, several cut-to-size canvases can be used to cover as much of the pool surface as possible. These canvases are fitted on different mobile pool cover rollers and stored outside the operation zone during running time. Small and light systems are moved manually on guide rolls or fixed castors. Large systems are motor driven and run with fixed castors on guide rails in parallel to the pool. They can for example be hidden under a storage shed near the garden bed. The rolled-up cover can be equipped with a sitting bench, semi-circled casing or flexible protective coating, thus providing an optimum protection from environmental impact and improper use through bathing guests. 16 Casing for PERFECT STAR / SENIOR System description A PERFECTSTAR cover systems for sports pools are especially designed to ensure perfect functioning and optimum accident prevention. Cover systems, which are directly installed near the pool border, serve as springboard for young bathing guests. In order to prevent this, the covers are overbuilt, however very often not safely enough: the front side (pool side) remains open and is therefore a source of danger for bathing guests and bathing stuff. Moreover, there are no safety fences to prevent accidents, especially when the area is very crowded. 29 Casing for PERFECT STAR / SENIOR Version D Tender specification Cover system with pool cover roller for sports pools with springboards, directly mounted behind the flow-off channel, including: Stainless steel pool cover roller for multi-layered pool covers (canvas). The system is encased in concrete molded parts (C-shaped), which are partially-submerged behind the pool, thus providing an optimum cover protection. The front side of the construction is closed by a corresponding shaft closing device, which can for ex. be lifted hydraulically from the front. The closing device consists of a steel frame construction and is equipped with a perforated plate or synthetic coating and a number of light hydraulic cylinders supported by the shaft wall/ceiling or ground. The system also includes control unit, hydraulic aggregate, tubing and valves. The hydraulic liquid is non-poisonous. Alternatively, the front side of the shaft can be closed by a roller shutter (running from top to bottom). The roller shutter is motor driven by a tubular motor and guided through a U-profile laterally and at the bottom. Roller shaft uninterrupted up to a length of m. Roller shutter material: preferably stainless steel or aluminium coated. The pool cover roller system is motor driven and equipped with bearings, docked on the inside of the concrete casing. The driving motors and the corresponding control elements are placed into hollow spaces of the concrete casing. The roller shaft diameter depends on the length and width of the cover. Type of stainless steel: W. Nr The steel springboards are slightly slanted towards the pool and firmly fixed to the horizontal concrete element. Their surfaces are epoxy-coated and sand-covered; the dimensions are compatible with competition conditions. There is a sufficient number of bearing devices for safety chains / the casing is equipped with corresponding hollow spaces. 30 Casing for PERFECT STAR / SENIOR Version D Tender specification Multi-layered pool cover: floating, three-layered, 6 mm thick, heat insulating and unplasticized PE canvas with reinforced smooth surface. The canvas consists of different webs, welded together longitudinally. The surface is made of unplasticized PE material, which is reinforced by a polyester layer (thickness: 0.6 mm, weight: 108 g/m_). The layer below is a 5.5 mm thick foam layer made of closed-cell PE material (bulk density according to ISO 845 in kg/m2, 33 +4/-6) and a pyramid embossed underside (water side). The holohedral pyramid structure provides high adhesiveness to the bottom level, consisting of a vapour diffusion resisting, coated PE material (thickness: 100 µm). Material samples are enclosed. The front side of the cover is equipped with a loop and a stainless steel pull-out tube (if there is a pull-out device) or a PP tube. The tube ends are fitted with polyamide wheels for easy overcoming eventual superelevations of the inner pool border. The three-point pull-out device with polyester rope can be rolled-up manually or automatically (length: cover length plus necessary addition). Colour: grey or blue. 36 OLYMPIA System description OLYMPIA is designed to meet highest demands of building owners. During operation time, the system is let-in flush with pool border and remains invisible to the bathing guests. After closing time, the system is lifted up vertically into operating position from a dry shaft next to the pool. The horizontal shaft cover is accessible at any state of operation and tiled (tiles match with pool tiles). Therefore, it is equipped with a very powerful hydraulic lifting device, which is as stable as an agricultural machine. The system is reduced to a minimum number of movable components thus assuring longevity and low maintenance. The cover material consists of a multilayered canvas, which is stored in a dry place. A pull-out device can be mounted opposite the bearing side of the cover for easy handling of the system in case of any pool size. 36

44 SPRINTinternationally patented System description This cover combines all the properties of a state-of-the-art system, capable of assuring operating reliability in tough working environments and meeting the demands from operators for an easily handling cover, which at the same time corresponds to the newest hygiene standard in the public swimming pool sector. SPRINT systems are equipped with roller shutter covers made of hard PVC. The roller shaft is fixly installed in a shaft and runs on bearings on both lateral sides. It is connected to the drive unit via watertight wall traverse; the drive unit is installed in the dry shaft next to the pool. During operating time, an automatic lid closes the flooded bearing shaft of the rolled-up cover safely. 44

45 SPRINTinternationally patented For covering the pool, the shaft lid is opened wide enough to let the roller shutter swim out and cover the pool. The shaft lid is accessible at any state of operation. SPRINT provides excellent maintenance properties, which allow maintenance of the system and the flooded storage shaft with a minimum amount of time and effort. This is mainly due to the fact that the shaft can be emptied without considerably affecting the water level of the pool. As the shaft is connected to the hydraulic system of the pool, it is continuously flooded, thus making sure that all the necessary hygiene parameters are met.
