9 Ozone with Mazzei Injector Provides additional water treatment and requires fewer harsh chemicals. Ozone purifies water faster than chlorine and leaves no chemical by product. Ozone will not irritate eyes or skin and is gentle to spa equipment. The ozonator takes in surrounding oxygen, turns it into O3 which is then shot into the spa water with the Mazzei injector. The ozone then goes to work naturally destroying bacteria.

10 Pro Pure Mixing Chamber How the ProPure Mixing Chamber Works Spa Water Nature2 utilizes silver and copper minerals to naturally destroy bacteria and algae. Microfiltration removes contaminants such as dirt, metals and oil by water passage through a microporus membrane. Larger particles are trapped in the upper layer and smaller particles, in the 1-5 micron size, are trapped in the lower part of the composite. The pleated filter has exceptional dirt holding capacity and low pressure drop. It retains its shape and is excellent for water filtration. The Polyester construction is resistant most chemicals. Circulation Pump Heater Corona Discharge This is how ozone is produced in the lower atmosphere via lighting. The Delzone ozone generator utilizes an electrode to produce ozone in high quantities. MCD-50 o DEL OZONe Mazzei Injector Drawing Ozone The Mazzei Injector draws the ozone out of the ozone generator and then injects the ozone directly into the ProPure Mixing Chamber. Spa Oxygen molecules are split by electrodes Oxygen atoms unite with other oxygen molecules to produce ozone. O 3 This process produces almost no ozone gas, greatly reducing the possibility of corrosion to the spa cover caused by oxidizing chemical by-products, as well as odor sometimes caused by ozone that is injected into spa water. When the ProPure mixing chamber is used in conjunction with Nature2 technology, the spa water exceeds EPA s standards for bottled drinking water. ProPure Mixing Chamber The ozone generator produces ozone and the Mazzei Injector then shoots ozone into the ProPure Mixing Chamber, where it mixes with water and air. This chamber keeps the ozone concentrated in a small body of water. The isolated chamber allows the ozone to remain undiluted, hence it can more efficienty kill more bacteria, fungi, and viruses than if it was directly injected into the entire spa. How Ozone Sanities Spa Water An oxidation reaction occurs upon any collision between an ozone molecule and a molecule of an oxidizable substance (i.e. bacteria, fungi (mold & yeast), viruses, forms of iron, magnesium and more). The weak bond splits off leaving oxygen as by-product. During an oxidation reaction, organic molecules are changed and dissolved. This process also combines metals together, forming larger masses so the micron filter can easily filter them out of the spa water.

11 Maintenance Free Cabinetry Beautiful, long-lasting cabinetry adds years of maintenance-free life to the spa. Maintenance free cabinetry will not rot, rust, warp, deteriorate or require replacement. Panels are made of a durable, synthetic material that can withstand the harshest weather conditions including snow, humidity, rain, sleet, and heat without rotting or warping.

12 Switchless Motors Island Pump Platinum and Platinum Elite Pump These motors drive high-water-volume pumps that are long-lasting and virtually trouble free. The switchless motor design does not require a mechanical switch to take it from the start position, which greatly increases the efficiency of the motor. This design requires fewer parts than a conventional motor, which means many components have been eliminated that sometimes cause problems. Switchless motors produce much less noise than traditional motors.

13 Full Foam Insulation Foam insulation provided by: ICYNENE LD-R-50 is Icynene s next generation of high-performance insulation. ICYNENE LD-R-50 is a renewable-based foam insulation and air barrier material that is responsibly made using castor oil and offers numerous environmental benefi ts. Castor oil has been used in place of a portion of the petroleum-based polyol. ICYNENE LD-R-50 exceeds the minimum renewable requirement for a bio-based material (testing in accordance with ASTM D 6866) and can contribute toward a building s achievement of credits/points under various national green building standards, including LEED-H, LEED-NC, and the ICC National Green Building Standard. as seen on This Old House INC. 14 Filters Nature2 Micron Filters 50 Sqft Micron Filters Disposable fi lters prevent the frequent cleanings the semipermanent fi lters require. The Micron fi lters are faster and more effi cient than non pleated micron fi lters. Easier to balance chemicals since micron fi lters remove more water contaminates such as oils, organic debris and will not slowly leech the contaminates back into the water. Lower density fi bers are used on the surface of the fi lter, with higher density fi bers nearer the center, allowing the fi lter to trap more dirt, oil and other contaminates. 19 Patented Helix Jets Spas feature a revolutionary design in jets, inspired by the double helix. Designed to provide truly remarkable hydro-massage exclusive to Artesian Spas. The jets use a right-directional spiral on the inside of the cylinder, causing water to spiral out in a twisting manner, providing jet pulsating and massaging pressure. Two largest jets named ProHelix provide a high volume of water to massage large muscles in the body. This energy-efficient, personalized system provides many benefits, the greatest being a powerful hydrotherapy massage and a unique spa experience. 1 ENERGY EFFICIENCY Energy is not wasted with the DirectFlow System. With this pump system, the spa user can turn on the pumps for just the seats that are used, rather than powering up the entire spa, as is necessary in a traditional spa. In addition, the pumps and motors are smaller and require less electricity than the larger ones used in traditional spas. 3 POWERFUL HYDROTHERAPY EXPERIENCE PUMP 3 PUMP 5 PUMP 3 2 PUMP 1 PUMP 4 Conventional spas utilize one or two large pumps that send the water to diverter valves, which then direct water to the jets. Diverter valves are ineffi cient and diminish water pressure to the jets, due to friction buildup in the diverter valves and back pressure on the pump. With the DirectFlow System, a small pump is provided for each therapy seat or station, thus eliminating the need for ineffi cient diverter valves. This plumbing design allows for the use of shorter, more effi cient plumbing lines to pump the water directly to the patented Helix jets. 2 4 SWITCHLESS MOTORS The revolutionary switchless motors used in Artesian Spas deliver maximum performance, are long-lasting, and are virtually trouble-free. The switchless motor design does not require a mechanical switch to take it from the start to run position, greatly increasing the effi ciency of the motor. It also diminishes operating noise heard with larger conventional motors, and it requires fewer potentially problematic operating parts, which gives the switchless motor a longer life than a conventional motor. PERSONAL MASSAGE CONTROL Each hydrotherapy station has its own variable fl ow control panel, which makes it convenient for each user to control the jet pressure, as well as air pressure, to his/her therapy seat. This feature allows for a more customized hydro-massage. Also, the water pressure setting that one user chooses does not affect the water pressure of the other seats.
