SHOES THE KEY TO GREAT HEALTH!

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 01 Shoes can make or break a person's health, just like they can make or break a person's posture. Wearing the wrong kind of shoes can destroy a person's feet slowly but surely. People who wear the wrong kinds of shoes will hurt their legs and their backs just as surely. However, wearing the right kind of shoes can help people perform all of their different work-related responsibilities. Some shoes can even improve health and fitness. Footwear is a crucial component of overall health, even if it gets neglected a lot of the time. We know that wearing the right athletic shoes is very important. The sporting goods industry has helped to get that message across time and time again. However, the importance of shoes for reasons that have nothing to do with athleticism gets less press. Advertising corrective medical shoes is not as lucrative, and that is certainly part of the picture. There is also the fact that people who wear specialized work shoes are going to go through special organizations and companies in order to get the shoes that they need in the first place. There is less of a reason for those companies to advertise. Still, people only spend a fraction of their lives working out, as important as athletic shoes are and as important as it is to choose the right shoes for a specific type of exercise. People spend a huge portion of their lives at work. Even the most fit people will usually spend much less than twenty hours a week exercising, unless it is something of a part-tie job for them because they are professional athletes. People spend twenty to forty hours a week at their jobs, and their jobs are often going to involve standing up all day long. Wearing the right shoes for all of this standing is essential, and preparing for the demands of a busy work day is important regardless of the specific nature of one's work duties. Many people in this situation are going to notice the difference right away as soon as they switch to better footwear for their jobs and for their feet.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 02 The Need for Foot Health & the Implications of Foot Health The health benefits of exercise are unmistakable. Many people still disagree on exactly what constitutes a healthy lifestyle in lots of other ways. Dietary guidelines actually change all the time and people struggle when it comes to even keeping track of all of the changes. However, all experts agree that regular moderate exercise is healthy, and the people who manage to do that are going to add years to their lives. One of the main reasons people cite when they say that they don't exercise is that it causes them too much pain. They find going on long walks painful. They might even find standing for long periods of time to be painful. Both of these problems are potentially unavoidable in the case of people who have a lot of severe disabilities, of course. However, other people have foot pain that is avoidable. If they wore the right shoes, they would be able to enjoy much healthier knees and feet, making it that much easier for them to actually work out on a regular basis. If foot pain is stopping people from working out, then they're damaging their long-term health in a lot of different ways. Exercise really is the key to longevity, and going without it for an extended period of time is going to leave people of all ages and all sizes at risk for a wide range of different health problems. If you can find the shoes that are going to get you through your workouts, you'll make the whole situation much better.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 03 However, you need to think about the space between your workouts as well. If you're damaging your feet at your job each and every day, you are not going to heal from the damage in time to actually get in a good bout of athletic activity. As such, it is that much more important for people to be able to make good choices for footwear throughout the week, and not just throughout the weekend. People who consistently wear comfortable shoes are going to have much better health outcomes later in life. Many of the foot problems that elderly people experience are not an inevitable consequence of being elderly or getting old. Age is about damage more than anything else, and these elderly people have just been damaging their feet gradually over the course of the last fifty to seventy years. The people who avoid all of that today, tomorrow, and the next day for several decades are going to be able to enjoy improved foot health for several more decades, and that is worth its own weight in gold. Foot problems are not inevitable. Choosing better footwear should be, because it is an important health decision for all people. The Dangers of High Heels High heels are work shoes for some people, especially women. There are some work dress codes that require women to wear high heels. High heels are not the same as elevated heels, which people should keep in mind. It's actually good to wear shoes that are slightly elevated. However, high heels that take people's heels two or three inches off the ground and force them to rely on the balls of their feet for balance in these tight and pointed little shoes can really throw off a person's body alignment. High heels can ruin a person's knees. They force people to place more pressure on their knees as they are walking around since people will divert pressure away from their hips and onto their knees as a result of the way high heels change the alignment of the body. Many instances of bunions, hammer toes, and other foot problems in the modern world are actually caused by high heels. Women tend to get them more often than men, and that is because women tend to wear high heels more often. You need some heel support in order to maintain good foot health, of course. However, high heels do not truly provide support. They provide you with an ill attempt to change the alignment of your body. People wear high heels in order to augment their height and in order to change the shape of their bodies, usually in a way that doesn't really work all that well and that is going to do far more harm than good. Even on a daily basis, high heels make it very difficult for anyone to actually run or to actually get around on their own. They're shoes that actually impair a person's movement in many ways. Women who are required to wear high heels for their jobs should protest these dress code standards, or they should try to find a way to substitute healthier footwear instead.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 04 Shoes that Are Made For Standing Many jobs require you to stand around all day long, and people should try to find a way to make sure that they're wearing the right ones if they want to look after their long-term foot health. Oddly enough, many individuals spend more time monitoring their health habits on their vacation days and their days off in general, as opposed to their days in the workplace. However, people are going to spend much more time in the workplace and the things that they do in the workplace are going to have more of an effect on their overall long-term health than the things that they do on vacation. Choosing the right work shoes can make all the difference in the world in terms of a person's long-term health. People who are wearing unhealthy shoes are chipping away at their foot health on a daily basis. On the other hand, the people who are wearing healthier shoes are often going to be augmenting their health on a daily basis. Making the distinction at the right time is very crucial to a person's long-term well-being, since foot problems and knee problems develop so gradually. Lots of professions require people to stand all day. In fact, it might be the default for most professions. Secretaries, receptionists, office workers, writers, administrators, computer programmers, and Information Technology support people might spend most of their days sitting. Nurses, construction workers, retail workers, restaurant staff members, and people in most service occupations will usually be on their feet all day long. People should know that standing around all day at work is the norm, and in many of the jobs that they enter in the future, they are going to be standing around all day. People who are interested in making the best decisions regarding their footwear should consider the following characteristics: padding, arch support, shoe composite material, heel support, shoe width, and foot security. Shoes that fail in any of these categories aren't going to work as well for the people involved, and people who wear shoes that have these sorts of flaws each and every day are going to eventually suffer the consequences. The article Have You Been Wondering What Are the Best Shoes for Standing All Day goes into detail on this phenomenon, and it brings up some facts about feet that some people don't always take into account.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 05 The Material of Shoes Many people don't really pay attention to his, but their foot shape will change slightly throughout the day. The bones and the flesh will shift slightly as a result of a day's worth of standing. All of that standing is going to have a temporary effect on the feet, of course. People's feet will shift back throughout the course of the evening and their sleeping hours, but the fact that feet shift in shape over the course of the day truly will influence the fit of shoes. The material of good shoes needs to be able to shift with the feet. Otherwise, people are going to gradually feel as if shoes that were comfortable at the beginning of the day became uncomfortable by the end of the day. This type of ideal material obviously still needs to be comfortable, and the great thing about this sort of material is that it is often comfortable. Material that is easy to shift is often flexible in a way that facilitates comfort as well, which is one of the reasons why selecting a flexible sort of material is so important in the context of shoes. Shoes that Fit People often buy shoes that don't properly fit them. This is partly a consequence of the fact that in the modern world, a lot of people do online shopping and they might not always want to send back the shoes if the fit is close enough. Other people might be in this situation at the store, and they might just settle on shoes that are close enough in terms of the fit.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 06 Overly narrow shoes will compress the toes and lead to a situation in which people are full of toe pain at the end of the day. Overly wide shoes are going to cause people to slide around in their shoes over and over again, and this is going to lead to a lot of severe blistering. The blistering will just lead to even more problems. People need to make sure that their shoes are going to give them the fit that they need in order to get through the day, or they're not going to get through the day. Heels That Are High and Low Enough People who have heard all about the dangers that are associated with high heels might want to wear shoes that are as flat as possible. However, these are shoes that tend to offer too little support. Shoes should not be less than a half-inch high, if possible. It is going to be hard to find shoes that are that low in some cases, and people should avoid doing so in any cases. Heels that are more than an inch high are a problem as well, unfortunately. These heels will complete change a person's bodily alignment. It is true that these shoes are not necessarily going to be as bad as the stylish high heels that people will wear otherwise. However, they will still usually be nearly as bad as high heels, even if they don't look like high heels and even if people do not really think of them as high heels. Heels that hit the sweet spot of three quarters of an inch high to one inch high are the best kinds. They provide more than enough arch support for most people, and most people are going to find that they do not put unnecessary pressure on the knees. Heels that manage to hit this sweet spot are some of the best that people are going to find. Padded Shoes If you need to wear specific shoes for your work dress code, put in the supportive gel inserts. Otherwise, get shoes that have plenty of padding. The padding is going to make the shoes comfortable. They are going to be able to absorb significantly more pressure that way. People who wear padded shoes are going to find it that much easier to stand around all day. Shoes with enough padding will feel like floating on a cloud if you wear them.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 07 Athletic Shoes When in doubt, it is often a good idea to just go for athletic shoes if you're going to be on your feet all the live long day. Athletic shoes were designed to be flexible. They were designed to stay on a person's feet even in the face of a lot of disruption and a lot of problems. They often have a good fit, or they develop a good fit as a result of their usage. They are also the sorts of shoes that are appealing enough for people to wear them outside. Athletic shoes have a lot of the same characteristics that people will want out of their shoes anyway, and that is what is going to work for the people who are on their feet all day, unless they have dress codes that are so specific they're not going to be able to wear the shoes that honestly will be some of the best for the job. Shoes For Different Professions People who are in professions that require them to stand all day long are going to have some needs in common. However, there are still going to be some requirements that are specific to certain professions and not to others. When people are choosing their work shoes, they need to think in terms of the hazards of their jobs and in terms of the potential challenges that they're going to encounter on the job. In many cases, those job hazards are going to be the sorts of things that people will encounter relatively frequently. As such, it should be easier for them to prepare for all of these different problems. As difficult as

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 08 hospital work, service work, and construction work can be, it is all usually work that is fairly consistent for most people, and that is going to make it easier for the employees to prepare for a lot of the worst hazards. Nursing Nurses, for instance, are usually going to have several different requirements to meet for their jobs. They're often going to have to meet a certain dress code and they're not going to want to wear shoes that are especially fancy for the sake of working in a profession that puts people in contact with some pretty unpleasant stuff. Nurses are still going to need shoes that are comfortable, that give them plenty of arch and heel support, and that offer them cushioning and stability. Some nurses are on their feet for eighteen hours straight. Many hospitals barely give their nurses a break. Some nurses don't get a chance to sit down before their shifts are over, and yet they are still in a situation in which they're being asked to get more and more work done, as if all of the work that they did already does not count for anything. At the very least, hardworking nurses deserve to treat themselves to shoes that are going to give them the support that they need, even if they're not going to get that same level of support from their administrators. Nurses are somewhat unique in that they're going to need shoes that will provide them with some protection. Nurses come in contact with a wide range of different bodily fluids throughout their working days. They also deal with a wide range of other hazards, especially sharps. In many cases, the most important thing that nurses can do is to wear shoes that have thick heels. The heels should be so thick that the nurses will be able to step on something sharp without having to worry about it penetrating their feet. Some nurses do not take this sort of precaution, but they do still sometimes find themselves in a situation in which the unthinkable does happen. Nurses who wear shoes that provide adequate coverage and nurses who wear shoes that have thick heels will be able to defend themselves from a wide range of different problems over the course of their lives.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 09 Service Professions People in service professions and restaurant professions are not always going to have the option. They're going to need to wear shoes that are really stylish as well as really comfortable. In many cases, employers are going to offer very strict style guidelines when it comes to the shoes that servers are allowed to wear, along with the general articles of clothing that they're allowed to wear, and this is going to make the whole experience that much more difficult for them. People in service professions are not going to run into hazards as often as nurses and many other people in these sorts of jobs. This is not the case even for restaurant workers. They might occasionally encounter bodily fluids and similar hazards, but not as a matter of course and their feet are usually going to be safe. However, it can still be very difficult for a lot of people in this situation to protect their feet from having to rush back and forth to meet the demands of frustrating customers, cooks that often get the food ready at the worst possible time, and the general chaotic atmosphere of a restaurant world. Balance is one of the most underrated parts of footwear for someone in a service profession. While hospitals are cleaned extensively and people try to make them as safe as possible, people in restaurants and stores are going to have to deal with slick floors that are supposed to look good, and they're going to have to juggle boxes of inventory and trays full of food all at the same time. Shoes that are even less likely to make them slip than most others are particularly important. People in service professions need shoes that will allow them to run fast. While restaurant workers do not usually run exactly, they still move quickly enough and with enough sharp turns that the running shoes and the associated design elements are often the best ones. Finding shoes like these that are also very comfortable and stylish is possible, and restaurant workers and people in many other service professions are going to have to make an effort in that direction. Construction Workers Construction workers are in a tough position when it comes to shoes in many ways. They're going to need shoes that are very comfortable. They're also going to need shoes that are very tough. Construction workers deal with all sorts of hazards all the time. They run into rusty nails, shards of glass, contaminated insulation, sharp bits of wood and metal, and all sorts of things that they could step on in the right way or the wrong way. Construction workers are going to need shoes that offer protection first and foremost. The soles of their boots need to be thick. The tops of their boots need to be thick. They need boots that are as thick and as sturdy as possible throughout, or it just is not going to work for them. Fortunately, there is very little pressure on construction workers to have stylish boots. They can wear the most utilitarian boots that they can manage, and no one on the site is going to care. Even the women who have managed to make their way into the construction world in spite of the pressures against them do not face much pressure to be stylish while they are doing their construction work.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 10 Shoes to Wear For People With Different Medical Conditions There are lots of different shoes that are specifically intended for people with various medical conditions. Some people with bad knees should wear certain shoes. People with Plantar Fasciitis and bunions should also choose certain shoes. These shoes can potentially heal their foot problems in some cases, or at least help them relieve some of the pain that they would experience otherwise. There are lots of medical shoes out there, and all of them can make all the difference in the world for the people who are just trying to manage their various medical problems. People can see these sorts of medical shoes as being like tools for physical therapy. In a very real way, they are. The interesting thing about most medical shoes is that many of them have the same characteristics that people will want from most of their shoes. Most people are going to want shoes that are comfortable, flexible, that provide enough arch support and heel support, and that are made from sufficiently flexible material. People who wear some of these shoes from the beginning might be able to prevent some of the problems that they will later experience with their feet. The people who already have foot problems can prevent additional foot problems if they have comfortable enough shoes.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 1 1 Bad Knees and Shoes People with bad knees should wear shoes that redirect the pressure from their knees to the whole of the feet. Shoes that help people redistribute their weight much better are the shoes that are ultimately going to help people heal from their knee pain. Obviously, knee pain is more complicated than a lot of that. However, wearing the right sturdy shoes can at least help people when it comes to knee pain. Wearing the right shoes can also make it that much easier for people who have knee pain in the first place to exercise. People with bad knees need to exercise on a regular basis in order to tone the muscles surrounding the joint, which can help to support the joint more effectively and which can allow people to walk more effectively. Plantar Fasciitis People can read up on the Best Running Shoes for Plantar Fasciitis 2015 article list. People who have Plantar Fasciitis are going to need shoes that are very flexible and that will give them enough traction. They are also going to need shoes that have enough cushioning in order to avoid the associated problems with pain. Good arch support is everything when it comes to Plantar Fasciitis, since this is a condition that is associated with flat feet. The people who want to run despite having the condition of Plantar Fasciitis can do so, but they're going to need to make sure that they're able to keep their feet comfortable at the same time.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 12 Bunions Bunions are characterized by the bones of the feet protruding in a way that tends to cause severe pain and balance issues. People cannot easily get rid of bunions either. In most cases, they have to be surgically altered, right alongside problems like hammer toes. Lots of other foot problems will go away with time. Bunions can be corrected, but foot surgery is difficult and dangerous, and many of the problems caused by bunions can lead to additional foot problems and additional problems with people's legs. People with bunions often suffer from knee problems as a result of the fact that they can no longer walk properly and they can no longer distribute their weight properly on their feet. Wearing the right shoes can allow people to change all of that. Bunions will literally widen the feet. As such, people with bunions need shoes that are wider. The wider shoes will give them the opportunity to actually spread their feet out correctly. Narrower shoes are actually going to dig into people's feet in most cases, aggravating the bunion and causing all sorts of additional problems. People also need to give their toes plenty of room to spread out, so the shoes that have a more boxy cut around the toes are going to be some of the best ones that people will choose. This is going to narrow down the choices of people who have bunions, unfortunately. Many of them are going to have a hard time finding shoes that are fashionable yet also very wide and boxy at the toe. However, there are medical shoes that have been designed to be more stylish than some of the others on the market, so it is at least possible for the people who have bunions to have some of what they want from their shoes. People who have bunions can read about the best shoes for bunions here: A Buyers Guide on How to Find the Best Shoes for Bunions. Other Medical Conditions People who have more obscure foot problems should speak with their podiatrists all about the different problems associated with their current feet and how they can go about addressing them. In many cases, those problems are going to be easier to address than a lot of people think. Sometimes, getting the right medical shoes to address foot problems is all about understanding the anatomy of the feet and all about trying to get a sense of how different shoes can help. People who have foot pain are often going to need shoes that offer more arch support and that distribute their weight more effectively. People who have a lot of specific sources of pain and spots of pain on their feet are going to need shoes that distribute their weight away from those areas. Individuals with fallen arches are going to need shoes that offer them the arch support that they did not have themselves. All of these innovations can help the people who have been struggling with foot problems of all kinds.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 13 Patients who still have unexplained foot pain might not actually have true medical problems. They might just be hurting their feet for some reason. There could be lots of reasons for that. In many cases, their foot pain could simply be a consequence of the fact that they're wearing uncomfortable shoes now. In other cases, their foot pain could be a result of their lifestyles in general. Not everyone is going to be able to fix his or her lifestyle, of course. However, changing shoes in the meantime can still help. Gendered Athletic Shoes People will see a lot of athletic shoes that are specifically aimed at men or a lot of shoes that are specifically aimed at women. They might want to know what the difference is. Ultimately, the difference lies in sizing. Men's shoes are usually going to be bigger and broader, but that is usually the whole of it. Most of the same design elements apply. Most of the same characteristics are present in both shoes. Women's shoes are sometimes going to be more stylish based on the idea that women prefer that. Men's shoes are often going to be made with dull black and gray coloring and not much else. You can usually tell the difference between men's and women's athletic shoes because they are color-coded for the sake of everyone's convenience. However, men and women really can swap their athletic shoes just as easily, assuming that they're relatively similar in terms of the size of their feet.

Shoes - The key to Great Health! 14 People can read about The Best Walking Shoes for Men and the The Best Walking Shoes for Women. Most of these shoes are going to be easy to put in one category or another on the basis of color and shape, but they're going to have most of the same important traits: cushioning, lightweight design, supportive heels, and lots of other characteristics that will create a better environment for walking for long periods of time and for enjoying a workout. Conclusion Many of the same characteristics that make a shoe good for standing make a shoe perfect for walking and running. The people who need special medical shoes will need shoes that have characteristics that a lot of people will want out of their footwear at the best of times anyway. There are lots of advantages to choosing shoes that are really versatile. The fact that many shoes are built that way automatically makes all the difference in the world for the people who do not really want a closet full of different shoe types in order to gain all of the benefits associated with foot health and athleticism.
