11 Programs & Services! Cabin program! We plan to construct 27 cabins this year, 3 cabins per community! Cabin insurance program! Currently there are 252 cabins that are insured in all Eeyou Istchee

12 Programs & Services Toxic Metal in Wild meat Project This study is collecting tissue samples from hunted animals to test them for contamination from environmental pollutants such as lead and pesticides

15 Original Objective of Program To develop a training program designed to teach Crees not experienced in bush life the skills to practice Eeyou Ituun The program will benefit from the tremendous knowledge of Cree elders to teach these fundamentals to younger generations. The objective is to maintain our Cree way of Life (Culture & Language)

16 Background!Many programs developed in the past!trapping Program!Cree Science and Technology!Communities have short training programs!obtaining long-term funding was often the biggest limitation; this is still the main challenge.

19 Program goal The steward Is responsible for managing the use of the indoowho Istchee, in accordance with Cree traditions and with a view to sustainability of wildlife and resources.

25 Program delivery!courses! The vast majority of the courses will be given in the Cree language on Cree traplines and by CREE!College St. Felicien! CEGEP St- Félicien co-instructors will facilitate student evaluations and ensure that Ministry of Education requirements are satisfied.!minister of Education (Quebec)! The Eeyou/Eenou Ituun Training Program is a fully accredited Attestation of Collegial Studies (ATS) certified by the Québec Ministry of Education. Meaning that the program will receive guaranteed partial funding from the Ministry as long as there are students registered in the program.
