Tournament Fee R per player inclusive of SWPSA levy (R tournament levy, R60.00 SWPSA levy) but exclusive of Swimming South Africa Membership. Swimming South Africa (SSA) Registration of R per Official (Manager, Coach, Chaperone and Referee) and R15.00 per Player is payable directly to SSA and is due by no later than 31 st October Any Team Member not having done so will be excluded from the tournament. Tournament fees are non-negotiable and failure to pay by the due date will result in teams not being entered into the competition. 3 Provincial Flags All provinces are required to supply the LOC with their provincial flag which will be hoisted at the opening ceremony and will fly for the duration of the tournament. Flags are to be handed in at the SWPSA Executive Committee AGM. Team Photographs Team photographs will be taken at Joan Harrison on Friday 6th of December from 11h00. Provincial management are requested to notify the LOC of their availability in order for photographs to be programmed accordingly. Team Acclimatisation Teams wishing to acclimatize to their venues are requested to contact the respective venue coordinator to make the necessary arrangements. Tournament Format and Playing Time The tournament format and playing time will be finalised once final team entries have been received. Please take notice of the instructions when completing these schedules. Black Player Requirements U19 1 U16 2 U15 2 U14 2 U13 2 All players are required to play a minimum playing time equivalent to one full chukka per game. Teams not meeting the Black Player requirement will be excluded from the tournament and the fixtures for that section will be modified accordingly. Page 5 of 9

6 Teams not meeting the playing requirement in a match in the first instance will forfeit all points for that match. Teams not meeting the playing requirement in the second instance will be expelled from the tournament with immediate effect. Teams not meeting the playing requirement in a playoff match will not proceed to the next round. In the case of a Black Player withdrawing from a team prior to the commencement of the tournament, the player must be replaced by a reserve Black Player. Notwithstanding the above it is agreed as per precedent that the Executive Committee, at their discretion and with empirical evidence may review a request. Referees All provinces to supply one accredited referee for every 6 (six) teams entered. These referees will form part of the pool of neutral referee s. They may NOT be a coach or manager of a team. Other Neutral referees will be appointed at the various venues where possible. Coaches / managers will be expected to referee. All referees will wear either: o Full whites o Provincial attire o Closed shoes and socks Tournament Awards and Top Player Selections Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded for all sections. SA Schools colours will be awarded to players selected in the U19A section only. Page 6 of 9

Time Outs WP12.1 will not apply for age groups 13, 14, 15, 16. Each team is allowed two (2) time outs per match. WP12.1 will apply to age group 19. Times of matches may differ between each section. Coaches and Managers will be required to referee matches where required. All matches will start on time as indicated by the program. A team guilty of contravening this shall forfeit the match. Points will be awarded as follows: o Win = 2 points o Draw = 1 point o Loss = 0 points Page 7 of 9

8 Positions shall be determined by the following: o Team with the highest points o In the case of a tie then BL9.6.3 Tie Break will apply. Any player excluded for brutality shall be excluded without replacement for the time of half a chukka of that particular section. Any player excluded for brutality shall be suspended for a minimum of one (1) match, and may be required to appear before a disciplinary hearing immediately after the match. Any coach/manager who receives a red card shall immediately be suspended for one (1) match. Should he/she receive a second red card then the coach shall receive a minimum of a further two match suspension and he/she may appear before a disciplinary tribunal. The disciplinary tribunal shall comprise of the following personnel: o The Chairman of the executive committee failing him the general secretary and failing him, the convenor, of the competition and tournament together with a further executive officer plus the venue coordinator. o In the event of the tournament director being the subject of a complaint, the chairman of the affiliate member within whose jurisdiction the tournament falls. Rules subject to change prior to the tournament Initiation No team may engage in any form of initiation of players. Teams and or players found guilty of such an offence shall be suspended from any further participation in the tournament. Page 8 of 9

However it must be noted that the LOC will not be liable for any loss of personal items during the tournament. An entrance fee will be charged and this will allow access to all venues. Parent/SupportersPpackages Parents/supporters packages will be available prior to the commencement of the tournament. These will include tournament programmes, accredited access, tournament T- shirts and memorabilia. Information in this regard will be forwarded once finalised. Page 9 of 9
