If it is not possible, any make up games must be completed before the upcoming League closing shoot. Home captain is to keep guests and players under control; there is no room for unsportsmanlike conduct in the NRDA Home captain will ensure that no person is allowed in front of the oche except the chalker during play. FORMAT for the Mix League is as follows: 2 team singles double s team singles mixed double s 501 I mixed double s cricket 2 team 701 The order of play (format) does not have to be maintained. If you are short a player and you know that they are coming you may start with singles or doubles. It will be up to the captains as to the order of play. RULES OF PLAY 37. Each game will be determined by a throwing of the Bull 38. In throwing for the Bull, a single bull ties and requires a re-throw. The re-throw will be same two players in reverse order. Those that throw for the bull do not have to be first in the order of play. A double bull beats a single bull. The second thrower may acknowledge a single or double bull and request that the first dart be removed prior to their throw. The dart must remain in the dartboard in order to count. Additional throws may be made when throwing for the bull, until the players dart remains in the board or within the board of play area.

Should the second throwers dart dislodge the first throwers dart, a re-throw must be made, with the second going first. 39. Re-throws will be called for if the chalker cannot decide which dart is closest to the bull or matching bulls are thrown. 40. The chalker s decision is final. 41. Home team captain puts up their order first, and then the away captain puts up their order, alternating through the match play. 42. The chalker also alternates. Whoever puts order up fist puts the chalker up Home team has the choice of boards 43. The game is played until one of the players finishes with a double out 44. All league games are to be double in and double out, except in tournament play Captains may advise players and settle disputes DOUBLE ONE RULE 45. There is no exceptional Double One Rule in NRDA 1998 Once both team (Players) have arrived at double one, after each team has thrown three (3) rounds, all darts thrown thereafter will count as a miss until double one have been hit. i.e. players first hits a single on (or any other number), he/she would then throw a second and if necessary a third dart. CHALKERS 46. The chalker is the official scorer 47. Chalking is done by the team that puts up their order first 48. The chalker will call out all scores in a clear and concise manner to the teams 49 a. Points left as appearing on the chalkboard will be deemed as official so far as current play is concerned. 49 b. The Home team will write their scores on the left of the board and the Away team will write their scores on the right of the board. 49 c. The shot score will be on the left with the total balance on the right. 50. It is the responsibility of the player to verify their score before removing their darts from the dartboard, do not remove darts until chalker has counted, if you pull your darts before the chalker can verify your count, the chalker s count will stand. 51. The score remains as written if one or more darts have been removed from the board. 52. Errors in arithmetic must stand as written, unless corrected prior to the beginning of the player's next throw. In the case of double team matches, such errors must be rectified prior to the next turn of any partner (player of that same team). 53. Scores made as appearing on the chalkboard will be deemed as official. 54. Each player should be cautioned not to remove darts from the board until scores made is called by the chalker. Scores made may not be challenged after the darts are removed from the board. 55. It is the responsibility of the captains to ensure that the scores are properly subtracted. 56. If any mistakes that are made by the chalker must be corrected before that team throws another dart. The only exception to this is if the error is in the multiples of 100 these can be corrected at any time during the game 57. The chalker will not give the thrower any information on doubles or combinations for finishes. 58. The chalker will exercise all due concern and regard for the player who is throwing from the toe line by refraining from undue movement and always facing the board until a throw is completed. 59. The chalker must remain at the board until the game shot is called and made. 60. All darts thrown will be counted. 61. A dart that hits a wire or otherwise fails to stick into the board may not be re-thrown. 62. The point of the dart must be touching the bristle portion of the board (excluding the wires) in order to count as a score. - A dart score will be determined from the side of the wire at which the point of the dart enters the dartboard. - Should a dart lodge directly between the connecting wires on the dartboard, making it impossible to determine which side of the wire it fell on, the chalker shall count the dart as

the higher of the segments in question. - This includes the outside double ring for the game shot. 63. If a player touches any dart in the board during a throw, that player's turn will immediately end. 64. Any dart touched by a player before a chalker (can count it) will not count for scoring. 65. No dart may be touched by the thrower, another player, a chalker, or spectator prior to a decision being made by the scorer. - If any of these situations occurs, that player's turn will immediately end. 66. A dart in the inner bull counts as 50 points and is considered a double if 50 points are left for the out. 67. A game is concluded when a player hits the double required to reduce the remaining score to zero. 68. Any and all darts thrown thereafter do not count towards the score. 69. A player may be assisted by their captain or teammates. 70. Should a player have any portion of their feet or shoes over the toe line during all three darts will be considered invalid and discounted from the score. 71. One warning from the opposing team is considered sufficient reminder prior this rule. 72. Any player who prefers to throw their darts from a point on either side of must keep their feet behind any imaginary straight line extending from either side of POINTS. 73. Winning the League Season will be based on total nights won, not the aggregate points - Aggregate points are only used to break ties 74. Each game won during the match will be worth (1) one aggregate point - a match win will receive (1) one point - a match loss will receive (0) zero points 75. If any team forfeits that evening match the team that forfeits will receive (0) zero points - The opposing team that was ready, willing and able to play the evening will receive (1) one point for the win and (1) one point for each game that would have been played in that evening for a maximum of (7) seven points for aggregate. REPORTING RESULTS 76. Both Captains must complete and sign the provided score sheets to confirm that they accept it as accurate as to games won or lost. 77. Both Captains must leave their score cards with the staff at the venue where the match is played. 78. Do not forget to record high starts, high scores, high finishes and 180 as they all count towards a line on your trophy. CRICKET SCORING 79. The scoreboard is drawn with the numbers 20 through 15 and bulls eye written in descending order down the center of the board. Bulls-eye is usually abbreviated with a B. Each dart that lands in any of the games numbers count toward closing that number. The thin outer ring counts as two of that number and is called a double. The thin inner ring counts as three of that number or a triple. Scoring for one dart is shown by placing a slash (/) next to the number scored. Scoring for two is shown by placing an (X) next to the number scored. Scoring for three is shown by placing a (0) next to the number to indicate it is closed. When three of a number are scored in any combination, it is closed. THE PLAY 80. The players each take a turn throwing one dart at the bull: closest dart to the bull gets to throw first. The first player throws three darts at any of the scoring numbers to try to close that number and/or score points. The player then scores the darts that he has thrown, and play alternates until one person closes all their numbers and has more or equal points to the opponent. After you close a number, if your opponent does not have the same number closed, any darts that land in that number count as points for you and are totaled on your side of the board. For example, you have your 18 closed and your opponent has one 18, if you throw a triple 18, you now have 54 points added to any point you may have already scored. If your opponent now throws a triple 18, only two count to close the number. The third does not count for points because your 18 is already closed. If a player has all of their numbers closed including bulls but has fewer points, that player has not yet won the game. He must throw enough points to be even or ahead of the opponent. If the only number the opponent has open is bull, then the player must throw extra bulls at 25 points each (or 50 points for the double bull).

RULE CHANGES 81. All proposals for changes to the rules are made at the Closing Shoot of the Mixed League by members in good standing. No rules may be changed at the Opening Shoots of the Mixed League. PROMOTION AND RELEGATION 82. At the end of the Season, if there are two divisions, the top two (2) placing teams for B Division will be promoted to A Division and the bottom two (2) placing teams from A Division will be relegated to B Division. 83. A newly created team made up of 50% A division players from the previous year may begin the next season in A Division. It is up to the discretion of the Association Directors, to even out the two divisions where deemed necessary and not bump teams from one division to the next for the sake of these new teams. TROPHIES 84. Any players who win multiple trophies will receive only (1) one trophy containing all the awards that they have received, no matter how many of the leagues that they belong to. Players who do not wish to receive trophies, may advise Association Directors on their Membership Form or anytime during the Season 85. Players may choose whether or not they wish to receive a trophy at the end of the year. All you need to do is to check on the registration form if you do or do not want one. 85a. All perpetual trophies (specially awarded trophies other than individual plaques) are to be displayed at the home venue of the awarded teams or individuals. MEMBERS 86. Experienced and New Members should always remember this is a fun league, made up of diverse levels of players but the spirit of the game should always be in the forefront of your mind. Returning members should take the time to ensure that new players are advised on the rules, etiquette and sportsmanship. All members are encouraged to participate in all areas of this league, including committees, shoots, banquet, fundraising and public relations. ETIQUETT REMINDERS The Following are just some basic etiquette points for those members just joining the League and to refresh the more Seasoned Players. Don't forget that the game of darts ALWAYS starts and ends with a hand shake. TOE LINE

When waiting your turn to throw, please keep at least (2) two feet back from the player at the toe line. Some players kick when throwing and we would not want any injuries. When throwing, the toe line is yours!!! You may ask the next person waiting to move back if they are crowding you and you may step away from the toe line at any point during your throw to regroup or ask your team questions. Practicing on any board during play is not allowed. When throwing you have 2 minutes to make the Toe Line. If you miss your Toe Line you miss your turn and the next person is up. CHALKING When it's your teams turn to chalk, please remember that only one chalker is allowed at the board. All chalkers should face the board, stand as still as possible and try to remain quiet. While chalking, turning to your team and yelling is discouraged. The chalker is allowed to inform the thrower of the number hit, if more than one dart has been thrown the total of the darts scored and the score the thrower has left. However, the chalker is not allowed to tell the thrower how to finish the game (i.e. if the thrower has 40 left, the chalker cannot say "double twenty" left.) Experienced chalkers - please be patient with those just learning. Remember, we've all been there! BATHROOM BREAKS & DRINK ORDERING Okay everyone, this is not a rule nor is it intended to be a rule but, especially in connection with Singles and Doubles games, if possible please try to schedule your bathroom breaks and drink ordering at the bar between games or prior to the games or prior to the games starting. CELLULAR TELEPHONES Cellular phones are to be used for EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY. There are to be no disruptive cellular telephone calls during game play. WE LOOK FORWARD TO A GREAT YEAR! HAVE A GREAT SEASON AND MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN!
