1 Championships Adult Fixtures Calendar 2014 KPW Ballinasloe

2 FOREWORD On behalf of the Hurling Committee Executive, we are pleased to present our Fixtures Plan for the year This plan of course is not cast in stone and many variables during the course of the year, including, Inter County games, Football games, unavoidable postponements, may involve deviation and thus re-scheduling by CCC. It will be the intention to adhere substantially with the fixtures as proposed, and Clubs are expected to co-operate. We thank the Clubs for making their pitches available for use and request that pitches are properly lined, flags provided and that no more than the maximum permissible number of Players/Officials and Management are permitted inside the pitch enclosure. We also draw your attention to bye law relating to Videoing of games and The Respect Initiative. In advance could I take the opportunity of thanking all Match Officials, Stewards and Gatemen, without whom, our games could not take place. Our competitions are most competitive and we recognise the wonderful achievement of Portumna on winning their 4th Club Title on St. Patrick s Day. Kilnadeema-Leitrim were most unfortunate in losing their All-Ireland final in extra time, while An Spideal and St. Thomas performed very well in their provincial deciders. Finally, a special word of thanks to our Competition Sponsors, namely, Salthill Hotel, Finnerty Plant, Pier Head, Gullane s, Bus Éireann. This year we are delighted that McCarthys Kilbeacanty will sponsor the All-Star Team of the Year Awards. Your continued support and financial contribution is much appreciated. Best wishes to all Clubs in their efforts to continue the wonderful work that is being done to promote Hurling in Galway at all levels. Mise le meas, Seosamh Ó Beirne Cathaoirleach 1
