Must be regularly helping teach or assisting a class (Seniors Only) Must be competing regularly in approved tournaments. 2 PHYSICAL CONDITIONING DEMONSTRATION Participant will stand in a Horse stance for 10 minutes. Arms out stretched in punch positions. Participant will stand in a Forward leaning stance for 10 minutes each leg. Arm positions will be directed. During this time he/she may receive some checks from the examiners to inspect the strength of the stance and the condition of the body. These may include strikes to the arms/legs. The participant may use meditation during this exercise if they wish. Juniors will be the same exercises but of 5minutes each. PADWORK Punch Kick combinations: (6) Examiners instruction Thai Pad Kicking (2 Min) (Rear Leg)(both stances) Knee to Pads (2 Min) (Lead to Rear switch) DEFENCES (Freestyle) Defend against 4 Unknown Knife attacks. (Juniors exempt) Must defend against the attack, by stopping the attack, and disarming or disabling the attacker, Use of Force law to be considered SPARRING 3 x 2min rounds of Sparring, Semi-Contact continuous: Controlled sparring against 2 attackers, (At once using senior grades) Lineup of five different competitors 30 seconds each continuous. Minimum of 50 press ups. Chest to fist level. Hands & feet to floor, no knees. Minimum of 50 Sit ups. Ankles may be held. Minimum of 85 Squats. Legs to 90degrees. Minimum of 30leg raises Minimum of 30 Burpies Duck walk. Bunny Hops. Examiners choice of exercises.(maximum of 6 senior grades 1-2 min each) Grading will take approximately 4 hours. Participants should drink regularly and the changing of Training clothes during the session is permitted. JUNIOR/SENIOR
3 A person under the age of 16 will grade as a Junior and will be re-assessed when ready after the age of 16 years old. Unless they wish to be graded as a senior(at the chief examiners approval) To be graded as a senior, the student must perform as an Adult, using speed and power of an adult. A Junior must be re-assessed between 16 & 18 years old to be awarded the senior rank. Assessment will depend on the students present training/competition performance.
