2 Report submitted to ITTF PTTD : September 7 th, 2009 Accommodation: In Olympic Center Cetniewo in the hotel Albatros and next Pavilions B, C, D, E. This Center is on the coast of Baltic Sea. Hotel and Pavilions were accessible for the wheelchairs. Meals: All meals were served in the big dining room in the hotel Albatros, in very good quality. The distance between hotel and playing hall is approximately 250m only. Transport: The transport among the Airport Gdansk and Railway station in Gdynia and hotels was organized well. Local transport wasn t needed, therefore accommodation and Venue were in the same area. Venues : Olympic Center Cetniewo -playing hall was fully accessible for the wheelchairs Size of the playing hall: 30 x 103m Spectators seats : 150 Floor: very good - wooden Light : good, approximately 900 Lux, no day light Referee s table: in the middle of the longer side of the playing hall Computer man: by the referee s table Organization office: by the playing hall, there were with OC still TD Classifier s room : with the good equipment by the playing hall Toilets for wheelchairs: 4 pcs TOI TOI toalets before the hall Equipment : Tables : 9 pcs Andro Competition for standing + 7 pcs Andro MagnumSC for wheelchairs + 8 pcs practise tables Andro Competition. All of tables are blue and ITTF approved. Balls: Scorers: et/post: Surroundings: Towel boxes : Butterfly ***, white, ITTF approved Competition days:. 2 nd Sept 2009 Arrival day, Technical meeting, classification, draw of Open 3 rd Sept 2009 Singel Open, Medals Ceremony, at 3pm Opening Ceremony, at 5 pm, start of the Single in classes 4 th Sept 2009 finish of Singles, Medals ceremony, at 5pm,start of Teams 5 th Sept 2009 finish of teams, immediately after the finish, were Medals Ceremony. At evening in the hotel Albatros, were given cups for the winner teams and the commemoritave medals to the leader of delegations + very nice Farewell Party. 2

Trainee: Allegra Roccato ITA Umpires : total 31 from 3 countries List of Umpires by countries Country CZE SVK POL Number Ball boys: Every day 20 soldiers from military units in Wladyslawowo, were in the hall as Ball boys and helpers for the players.. Meetings : Classification: A technical meeting was hold at 9:30 pm on the arrival day in the hotel Albatros. There, organizers gave to the delegations all of the necessary general information and draw of Single Open with the time schedule for the first playing day too. 14 players were classified ( 9 new players, review of next 2 players, 3 players were added by the classification panel, one player was not eligible). Classifiers were satisfied with the classification room, equipment there and servicing from the organizers. Results : During the Polish Open, the results were sent to ITTF PTTD webmaster, immediately after the particular events. The results were continuously given on the website of Polish Table Tennis Association : too. The final results of the tournament were given on CD ROM to each Delegation, during the Farewell Party. Digital results were sent on September 7 th to our webmaster Gael Marziou. 3

4 Medical servis : M.D. Maslowski was present in the playing hall during the whole competition. Ceremonies: Openinng Ceremony was organized on September 2 nd, at 3 pm, before the Medals Ceremony of Open Singles. Both next Medals Ceremonies were organized always after the finish of the events. Closing Ceremony and the handover of the cups for the vinning teams were on the start of the Farewell Party in hotel Albatros. Organizers tried to change these rooms. Therefore next Polish Open wont be in the season by sea, Organizers could use still Pavilion E, with the special rooms for the tetraplegic players too Transport - Good organized transport from airport in Gdansk and railway station in Gdynia.. Local transport wasn t organized therefore accommodation and Venue were in the same area and maximal distance among Venue and hotel + pavilions were approximately 250m only. Sport equipment - Good, ITTF and ITTF PTTD approved. Information: Referee : Deputy referees : Good, on the information board and by the help of pigeon-holes. very good and professional work very good and professional work Umpires: 31 umpires from three countries were very good team,w ithout 4

5 Computer: the problems and works very well, without some protests. Only one man, working very hardly and excellent way, but for the next Polish Open I recommended to give him one good helper with the second computer, to have possibility to make the running resource of the data. Computerman was very good professional. Ball boys: The soldier which were there as ballboys, understand table tennis and problems of the wheelchairs, therefore they were very good ballboys and helpers of them.their group was very well organized. Organization : Composedly, very friendly and always in the time. It is possible to tell, the whole organization was very good. Chemical toilets: Four TOI TOI toilets were prepared before the playing hall. They were cleaned continuously and regularly were every day changed their chemical contens. No problems with them. Org. Committee: Volunteers:. In OC is written enough number of the persons, but nevertheless I proposed for the next Polish Open to complete OC still with some next persons, which will help Magdalena Grzesik in OC office, during the whole tournament, therefore Barbra Stachowska has in office different and also important job there. For example : with the economical part of the administration,with the organization of the transport and with the accommodation. To my mind, it is too big job for one person only! Good team and very helpful. I would like to congratulate to the whole Organizing Committee, referees, umpires, volunteers, and soldiers, for the very good organized Polish Open Jiri Danek CZE TD of the Polish Open
