Check the website ( for running order and times or call between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursday 5 th December 2013 THAMES VALLEY RIDING CLUB We are an affiliated Riding Club and all competitions are run under British Riding Club Rules. These rules may differ from British Dressage, BSJA or British Eventing Rules in some instances. Where a specific situation is not covered by Riding Club rules, the official rules for British Dressage, BSJA or British Eventing shall apply. Back protectors are recommended for all competitions which involve jumping. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO TVRC EVENTS 1. The judge s decision is final. 2. All ridden horses / ponies must be 4 years of age or over. 3. Correct riding attire for each discipline must be worn. Hats must be worn, correctly fastened when mounted and be to a basic standard of PAS015, BSEN1384 or ASTMF1163; riders are responsible for their own safety. 4. We strongly recommend body protectors are worn by competitors for show jumping. The wearing of body protectors is compulsory for all cross country events. 5. Entries may be refused. All rights of entry are reserved. 6. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Those with dogs not on leads will be asked to leave the venue immediately. 7. It is the responsibility of competitors to know the rules - our stewards and officials are there to help and advise, please remember all our stewards are volunteers. 8. Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom in law they are responsible, neither the organisers of these events nor venue, any agent, employee or representative to these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or any other way whatsoever. 9. Every effort will be made to run classes to schedule, however, the organisers reserve the right to cancel or amend classes. 10. Any change of horse or rider must be notified to the Secretary at least 15 minutes before the start of the class. 11. There must be no mucking out of trailers or lorries onto the ground. All muck and loose hay / straw must be gathered up and taken home. If parking on grass, do not allow your animals to graze as it is usually our hosts grazing. 12. Entry to events at any venue, does not entitle riders to use other equestrian facilities. Anyone found on other parts of the venue / estate will be banned from ALL future equestrian events at this venue. 13. In the event of the cancellation of an event, an administration fee will be withheld from the entry fee. HEALTH AND SAFETY The Organisers of TVRC events have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of all officials, stewards and organisers. Any accident, however small must be reported and recorded at the Secretary s office

5 QUALIFIERS FOR THE CHILTERN AND THAMES RIDER TC FEEDS & TACK HAVEN WINTER SJ CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014 Class 1 is a qualifier for the Chiltern and Thames Rider Mini Individual Winter Jumping Finals The Finals will be 70cm in the first round. The Qualifiers may be 60cm Horse/pony and rider combination not to have won any notional money British Show Jumping at the time of qualification. (This is money registered on BS record). All riders must have a valid CTR Winter Show Jumping Membership number 2013/14 First, second and third places qualify. i.e. 6 per class (3 horses and 3 ponies) If the first, second and third places do not have a membership number, the qualification can pass down the line as far as 5th place. All horses and ponies must go clear in the first round in order to qualify. Class 3 is a qualifier for the Chiltern and Thames Rider Novice Individual Winter Jumping Finals The Finals will be 80cm first round. The Qualifiers may be 70cm Horse/pony and rider combination not to have more than 50 notional British Show Jumping at the time of qualification. (This is money registered on BS record) Any winnings subsequent to qualifying will not be taken into account. All riders must have a valid CTR Winter Show Jumping Membership number 2013/14 First, second and third places qualify. i.e. 6 per class (3 horses and 3 ponies) If the first, second and third places do not have a membership number, the qualification can pass down the line to 5th place. All horses and ponies must go clear in the first round in order to qualify. Class 4 is a qualifier for the Chiltern and Thames Rider Small Open Individual Winter Jumping Finals The Finals will be 90cm first round. The Qualifiers may be 80cm Open to all horse and pony combinations. All riders must have a valid CTR Winter Show Jumping Membership number 2013/14 First, second and third places qualify. i.e. 6 per class (3 horses and 3 ponies) If the first and second places do not have a membership number, the qualification can pass down the line to 5th place. All horses and ponies must go clear in the first round in order to qualify Class 5 is a qualifier for the Chiltern and Thames Rider Open Individual Winter Jumping Finals The Finals will be 1m first round. The Qualifiers may be 90cm This competition is open to all horses/ponies. All riders must have a valid CTR Winter Show Jumping Membership number 2013/14 First, second and third placed ponies and horses qualify. i.e. 6 per class. If first and second have already qualified, the qualification passes down the line as far as 5th place. All horses and ponies must go clear in the first round in order to qualify

6 QUALIFIERS FOR THE CRICKLANDS WINTER LEAGUE SJ FINALS APRIL 2014 All double clears qualify for the Cricklands Winter League SJ Finals April Please see for further information. Each year Cricklands hold their Winter League SJ Finals in April and the Championships of Great Britain in August. Both these competitions are run in the same way but they are a Winter and Summer version of the same event. The unaffiliated jumping is separated into Juniors and Seniors so there is a three day show for each with horse and pony classes. The Junior competition is for 16s and under and the Senior competition has no age restriction. The Eventing Championships of Great Britain was new to 2009 and competitors can qualify at this show by getting a double clear. This is the same as the qualification for the Show Jumping. The new qualification cards have an option for competitors to use it either as a Show Jumping qualifier or an Eventing qualifier. If you jump a double clear in classes 1, 3, 4, 5 or 6 please go to the Secretaries Office on the day to collect your qualification card.
