1 MEDIA ADVISORY 6 th FOREIGN MINISTERS MEETING (FMM) FORUM FOR EAST ASIA LATIN AMERICA COOPERATION Bali,, June 2013 As of May 6, 2013 I. Introduction The Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) is an association of 36 countries from East Asia (Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, China,, Japan, Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) and Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela) that came together for the first time to form an official and regular dialogue channel between the two regions. FEALAC mainly consists of regular meetings held at three levels: the Foreign Ministers, the Senior Officials and the Working-Level Officials. This year, the 6 th Forum for East Asia Latin America Cooperation Foreign Ministers Meeting (FEALAC FMM) will be held in Bali,, from June The meetings will be preceded by the 10 th Meeting of Working Group on Politics, Culture, Education and Sports, the 10 th Meeting of Working Group on Economy and Society, the 9 th Meeting of Working Group on Science and Technology, the 4 th Meeting of Sub- Working Group on Tourism, and Senior Officials Meeting XIV from June II. Accreditation/Registration A. Key Dates for Media Accreditation 7 May 2013 : Media registration online opens 31 May 2013 : Media registration online closes, at Jakarta Time (GMT +7) June 2013 : Issuance of ID passes B. Registration Process: 1. Media representatives who are interested in covering the events are requested to register by using the prescribed Media Registration Form available at 2. Fill in the Media Registration Form and attach soft copies of the following documents: a. Letter of assignment from the editor/executive of the media; b. A form of identification KTP for locals or passport for non-n citizens that is valid for at least six months; 1

A recent digital passport-sized photograph (minimal resolution 480 x 640) 3. the completed form along with soft copies of the required documents (mentioned in no.2 above) to fealac2013.media@gmail.com 4. For successful media accreditation, an notification will be sent to confirm your accreditation together with a unique ID number. Successful applicants are required to print and bring along a copy of the confirmation letter with the unique ID number to the Administration Desk in Grand Hyatt Hotel, Bali PLEASE NOTE THAT INCOMPLETE AND LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. III. Visa Requirement Successful applicants who are not based in are required to print and bring along the copy of the confirmation letter to apply for a visa at the nearest n Embassy/Representative Offices abroad. IV. Customs Clearance Requirement The list of equipment that will be brought by applicants must be legalized by the nearest n Embassy/Representative office abroad for importation and exportation purposes. V. Issuance of Accreditation Pass (ID) ID passes will be issued at Media Registration Desk in Grand Hyatt Hotel, Bali, on June 2013 at a.m p.m. local time. ID must be worn at all times. VI. Media Pool Media personnel will have an access to enter the venues during the Opening Ceremony and other open press events. In the event the space availability does not permit; a media pool may be applied. In this regards, special media passes will be issued and must be worn at all times together with ID badges. Others may observe or follow the events at the media center where CCTV is provided. VII. Media Center The Media Center will be located at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Badung Room 1 & 2 and will be operational starting on 11 June 2013 at a.m. The Media Secretariat at the Media Center will arrange Press Conference and Press Interviews on a case-by-case basis. 2

3 The Media Center will provide computers with internet access. VIII. Accommodation and Travel Arrangements Media representatives will be responsible for their own travel arrangements, reservations and payments of hotel/accommodation.
