Mario Vargas Llosa Woodland Park second grade students find owls to be fascinating and mysterious creatures. We would like to share what we have learned about owls. Mrs. Jones are Efficient Hunters by Peighton Arlt are good hunters. To begin, owls have little hooks on their feathers. The hooks muffle the sound so they are hard to hear. Another reason that owls are good hunters is they have sharp hearing. One ear is higher than the other so they can hear all around them. They can hear prey from a long distance. These are two facts that I think make owls good hunters. Can you name some facts? by Brenna Bailey are very good hunters because they have wings and talons. First, their wings are very powerful. They have hooks on each feather to muffle sound. Their wings are bigger than both of your hands together. Second, they have very sharp talons on their claws.
