(In addition to the following rules, ABGA rules and JABGA rules will apply) Entries AND MONEY must be postmarked by May 2, 2014 or late entry fees will apply. NO REFUNDS. Entry forms: Please be sure to mark the appropriate class numbers for lambs, goats and showmanship. Please use a different form for each exhibitor. If the ABGA animal is registered under a different name, please use a different form for each owner. JABGA has a separate entry form. Substitutions are allowed at no extra fee. No substitutions after 8:00 AM Saturday; scratches only. Check-in: Please do not arrive before 12:00 noon Friday. Registration will be open between Friday 4:00-8:00 pm, Saturday 6:00 8:00 am. All market animals must be registered and weighed by 8:00 am Saturday. Scales will be open 7 pm-8 pm Friday evening. Pens will be designated when you arrive. Pens: Pens are included in the entry price. Pen size is 4 x 5. You MUST pay for tack pen as there is no space in the aisles for tack. No display space at pens. If you are interested in setting up a breeder display, you will need to do it in the arena area. Mark on form if you want to pen near someone. Exhibitors not showing from trailer will be in a designated area only, no electric and no barn cover. Please take animals immediately to health check area upon arrival. Health Requirements: WV Dept. of Agriculture will be checking animals before entering barn area. Do not unload before being checked. All covers must be removed from animal to be checked. ALL ANIMALS MUST BE HEALTHY. No visible signs of abscesses or other contagious diseases will be allowed (pinkeye, soremouth, ringworm, etc.). All animals outside WV must have current interstate health papers within 30 days. All ABGA goats must have registration papers/numbers; all other goats and all lambs must have scrapies tags. Any questionable issues will be decided by Show committee and decision is final. Shavings: Shavings are offered for $5.00 per bag. Please enclose money with entry forms. Additional quantities will not be available.

2 Registrations: ALL ANIMALS MUST BE ABGA REGISTERED TO BE SHOWN IN ABGA SHOW. Original registration papers are required to check in, except as noted in ABGA rules. It is the owner s r esponsibilit y fo r ear t attoos to match registration papers. Tattoos will be checked on first and second place winners at the conclusion of each class. JABGA Exhibitors: JABGA rules will be followed for the Regional Show. JABGA ownership date is February 17, 2014 for all animals over 90 days old. Be sure to complete the JABGA entry form for this show only. Concessions: We will have concessions available Friday afternoon. They will also be prepared to serve all day Saturday and Sunday. Miscellaneous: No animals are allowed to run free on the fairgrounds; dogs must be leashed. Exhibitors are responsible for safety and care of their goats. Exhibitors and their families release the Jefferson County Fair Association, WV Boer Goat Blitz and any committee members from any and all responsibility for loss or damages or accidents. No Smoking in the barns or show arena. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON FAIRGROUNDS. Sportsmanship: Any person or family not acting in an honorable manner will be required to leave immediately, and will not be allowed to return for the remainder of the show. This is a family atmosphere. Youth Market Additional Rules: Lambs show first, then Goats. Classes are for youth owners 21 years of age and under as of show date. All market entries will show together regardless of sex. Does will be allowed to be shown in market goat, but may not be shown in ABGA shows on May Weigh-in is scheduled from 7 pm -8 pm Friday and 7:00am 8:00 am on Saturday. All animals will be weighed and divided by weight into classes. No reweighs. Showmanship: Showmanship classes will be divided into Junior, Intermediate and Senior. Junior showmen will be those exhibitors who are 12 years of age and under as of show date. Intermediate showmen will be those exhibitors who are under years of age as of show date. Senior showmen will be those exhibitors 15 years of age or older as of show date. Ages may be adjusted according to number of entries. Pee Wee showmanship will be goats only for showmen 7 years of age and under. PICTURES WILL BE TAKEN AT THE CONCLUSION OF EACH CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND. In case of a discrepancy, or for rules not adequately covered, the show committee decision will be final. Updates will be sent via , posted on website and Facebook page. 6 DIRECTIONS TO FAIRGROUNDS ==== This is an open barn facility. From Interstate 81 take Exit 12 in WV. Follow Route 9 East towards Charles Town for 7.6 miles. Take the Kearneysville Leetown exit. Turn right towards Leetown. Go 3 miles (passing Fish Center). Turn left on Old Leetown Pike towards Ranson. Go 2 miles. CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR: Enter the fairgrounds at gravel road going through the field (This is before the MAIN gate). Vet will be set up before the entrance to barn area. Out of state have health papers ready.
