1 BRITISH AUTOMOBILE RACING CLUB C Newsletter : Fall Edition As the racing season slowly comes to a close -OC celebrates another successful year at the track. Hosting not only our annual regional race in August, also cohosted a successful June date with the Ontario Time Attack and of course the Honda Indy Toronto. Our drivers showed that they had the right stuff and our committees, volunteers and fans were giving their all. Thank you all for making it a great year. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL -OC MEMBERS. Due to remodelling at the LoneStar Restaurant our General Members Meeting for October rd, 17 will be held at: HANK DADDY'S 7777 Keele Street VAUGHAN, Ontario (Keele St. And Hwy 7) To help Hank Daddy's know how many people to plan for, it would be appreciated if people seeing this indicate whether they plan to attend. (go to our Facebook Page to let us know if you plan to attend (under events) We'll be sharing the restaurant with Hank's other customers until about : PM and then we will have the place to ourselves for the meeting portion.

Election invitation, information, and proxies will be mailed to all eligible voting members soon. As a member of our club it is important that you have a say in how the club is run and who you want to run it. Please make sure you attend our November election date (Tuesday November 7, 17) OR fill out a proxy giving your vote to another club member (if you do not assign another member on your proxy it will pass to the president for voting) Up Date: In the last Newsletter : The Grand Prix Salute I accidentally left off one important group. You are so appreciated by all the volunteers. Can-Am Concours Howard Cohen Yes, there are Can-Am concours cars. I know, I saw them at the Concours d Elegance of America in Plymouth, Michigan this year. The Concours has a wide variety of cars, mostly vintage, antiques and classics but also race cars. This year Can-Am was highlighted. Do you remember what they looked like in the 6s and 7s? Well,

3 picture them restored, fresh mechanical, rebuilt engines, fresh paint, all ready to show their best side while standing still. Yes, I would rather see them on the track but when there is no track available, just seeing them brings back memories (did I push this car at Mosport?) and warms the racing soul. Oh, they all drove to the show field To try and describe them would be difficult, so I let my camera do all the work; some photographs are below and the rest online.
