Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all teachers, parents and dancers for supporting the Special Care Baby Unit Feis in 2017, The Feis will take place on the 3rd and 4th March 2018 at The Diamond Centre, Claudy, County Derry. This venue has excellent facilities allowing us to run 3 floors. Teas, snacks and hot food are available from the Feis Cafe. 7 Rules of the Feis 1. The SCBU Championships is run under Comhdhail na Muinteoiri le Rinci Gaelacha Cuideachta Faoi Theorainn Rathaiochtha 2. Solo costumes may not be worn in any competition up to and including under 9. Class Costumes or skirt/ blouse or top must be worn in all beginner costumes. 3. Facial Make - Up may not be worn in any competition up to and including U Strictly no changing of costumes will be permitted in the hall. Dancers should be properly dressed at all times. 5. Age is det ermined on January 1st The use of Photography via any form of mobile device is strictly forbidden during competitions. Photographs are permitted during the presentation of awards. 7. Litter must be placed in the bins provided,. 8. Adjudicators decision is final in all circumstances. 9. Compet it ions may be added or wit hdrawn depending on t ime. 10. Respect must be given to all TCRG/ ADCRGs/ Feis Staff and The Staff of the Diamond Centre at all times. Information U5 - U8: Dancers may dance in BOTH Light and Heavy Jig U9 - U14: Dancers may dance in Light OR Heavy Jig Dancers wishing to take part in Open Championships (U9 - O18) Must compete in both the OPEN Heavy Jig/ Hornpipe and Reel/ Slip Jig Al l open Championships and Conf ined Reel - Judged by 1 Adjudicat or. Beginner A Competitions and results will be completed before Beginner B Directions From Derry/ Donegal - Follow Signposts for Belfast, Continue on the Glendermott Road/ A6. Turn Right on B74 Glenshane Rd (Signposted Claudy). Continue through Claudy and Take a left the B69 (Baranailt Rd) at the Crossroads. The Diamond Centre is situated 20 Yards on the Right. From Belfast/ Antrim/ Magherafelt: Continue on Foreglen/ Glenshane Road Signposted Derry, take Left Signposted Claudy/ B69. Venue is on the Left

8 Grading Systems: 1. Beginner - Competitors must dance basic steps. Class Costumes/ Skirts must be worn by all competitors. 2. Pre - Open - Open to all dancers who have never won a first place in a pre - open/ open competition. 3. Open - Open to all dancers. 4. Confined Reel - Confined to dancers who have not yet won a three adjudicator championship. Keep up to date will all the results via our Facebook Page (@scbu.feis). If you do not wish your child to be photographed please let one of the TCRG's side-stage know in advance before the results of the Cup/ Championships Images will be uploaded after every competition day.
